Exciting but at the same time I'm scared too. Hoping that it's 'practically' affordable. And to be honest, I'm already preparing myself that the price is somewhere between Arcadia's and Fewture's Garland price point. And for that I'm quoting Ignacio's... 'Hope I'm wrong' too.

Gundam Figure Thread - Newtype GN-002

You're welcome. Can't wait for PO night and hope to score one. The only thing I wish for is that hope that the overall proportion and sleekness will somehow match the previous RD Freedom just to go along with it. I wouldn't be surprised too if they will also make Infinite Justice next (or in the future).- 6025 replies

Pics once you finished building it. Let me know if there's some signs in the manual or sprues that they're going to make the Advanced Hazel. -

Expect that it's going to be. Metal Build is/or approximately 1/100 scale. Metal Robot Damashii on the other hand is an upgraded version of Robot Damashii line with diecast metal. And it's approximately/or 1/144 in scale.- 6025 replies

Well, think of this way. Back then when you were young, you see this styles as 'adult-ish' compared to Looney Tunes, Popeye, Mickey Mouse, etc. back then. You know, it's like watching G.I.Joe without the goofiness. And now seeing the new intros and anime as JetJockey pointed out, it's not too 'adult-ish' to him anymore. Probably because he sees the new ones now as too 'child-ish' for him since he got older. I'm just assuming here based on what I understand about his post so please don't quote me on this. I'm sure he only wants to see a Macross series that's leaning towards more to the matured crowd ala-Macross Plus. Hence, his question: Same thing as me. Before my interest wane out, I want to see a Macross done in that way -- I wish. It's a wishful thinking to see a Macross OAV or a new series done in a way that Gundam are doing with their Origin and Thunderbolt approach. What are the chances indeed?

Hahaha! I'm sure Spanner will add another wheel in front of that to put the mouse in. -
Thank you sir! But is the RT Masterpiece VF's same height as the 1/60's? Anyways, looking forward to it.

Congrats Ignacio! Post some pics once you build it. I do got a restock notification for it but I still have some second thoughts on getting one. I know I love Hazel Gundams and its all variants. But knowing that I don't have time of building it and not having too much space at home, and somehow I now really appreciate more the ones that are already built/pre-built (e.g. Metal Build, GFF Metal Composite, etc.), I decided not to get it. Unless they make one in that said line -- I wish it's Metal Build. But I doubt it's going to happen. But who knows? Regarding your posted knowledge on building kits, I think you're good to go on this MG kits. As for the wear and tear, it's usually on the joints and panels that moves. So basically, almost 'everywhere', I think. To be honest, if it's a non-transformable one, I guess it's all on the joints and watch out for all the panel gimiks that it has since most of them also moves. Anything that will contact to other parts expect some paint chips there too. And for transformable one, then basically everywhere. It's also why most people do some loose fit first so that they will know all the movements and parts that will have contacts after built. Atleast you can sand those areas a little bit to lessen the rubbing and contacts of one another. Do note that in order to do the 'loose fit' method, you have to make the peg connectors (the female parts) a little bit looser for easy dissassembling.

New Macross TV Series in 20xx (sometime this decade)
no3Ljm replied to Tochiro's topic in Movies and TV Series
Hahaha! Nah. I don't deny that I'm a 40+ year old guy who still like his Macross. It's just that even though I didn't like the direction that Delta took, I still respected and accepted the changes for this new generation since my only care about is the Valkyrie action. And that's the same reason ever since when I started watching this from 1983. But being called a cranky old guy just because I didn't like the whole premise of that show it doesn't mean I don't like the rest of it, right? Valkyries especially. -

Like omitting this kind of facial expression? Because IIRC, I don't remember seeing Minmay doing this. Did Ranka or Sheryl have this kind of expressions too? I'm not sure if it's going to work and help out Delta. It would be nice to see another Macross series that's somehow in-par with Macross Zero style and seriousness.

Agreed. It's funny that we all somehow share the same sentiments towards Delta. And for that, I got labeled as a cranky old guy. Hahaha! -

If you're not a big primer-first guy, just make sure that you wash the kit first with water and dishwashing soap just to remove the remaining residues from the machine molds. And after painting it, make sure to apply a topcoat. But do note that this is still a kit. So if you move it and play it a lot, still expect some paint chip.

Don't you mean you need a bigger room? Great collections! Btw, is it ok to ask if you could post a photo of a 1/60 VF-1 with that CM's and Megahouse Ride Armor side-by-side? Thanks!

Hahaha! It's the same thing with them. We don't understand them too. We also roll our eyes whenever they want to buy new bags and new shoes.
