Your most recent Macross or toy purchase! General thread.
no3Ljm replied to Gakken85's topic in Hall Of The Super Topics
I brought all my Revoltech figures here actually from the Philippines and now they're somehow safe since the weather here is not as hot and humid back there. But so you know they're in great shape. There's no deformation or such. It's just that feeling when I used to play with it back there. Though now I'm planning on letting them go as a loose set via eBay. I just need to sort them out since I don't have any more space for everything. Hehehe. -

Hey Mike! Thanks for the trivia. Good to know that I learned something about this new TF figures. Though I got lost on everything but this one piqued my interest since I only buy Hot Rod/imus. But just so you know not everything. Just the ones that I really like. Any chance that we have a sketch or drawing for that Mountain Lion Rodimus?- 9366 replies

I see. Thanks for that info. I do have that old Hasegawa 1/72 VF-1S Strike Battroid from before but it's in the Philippines. I will try to ask my sister when she have time to have it scan so I can compare.

Thanks Slave IV for the fast reply. But how's the material nowadays? The only gripe I have with those first gen figures is the PVC material. Esp in hot countries, it tends to give that gooey sticky feeling when playing with it. -
Hey Mr.Cheng. I guess like I posted in your decal thread earlier, I'm kind of doing this my own thing since I'm mixing what it goes based on the instruction manual and adding some decal here and there based on the Master File books. But I just stopped since the Super Packs is not correct. I really don't mind if it's not correct as long that all of them should somehow have different designations rather than all of them have the same labeling as NP-001 or something. So is Hasegawa somehow more correct with designations? If so, I might try and buy those 1/72 over eBay soon and see how it goes. As for the Hasegawa VF-1S Strike you're referring to, is that the one for Battroid or for Fighter?

Hey Mr.Cheng. To be honest, I would love to go the Hasegawa look. But I already started mine with those purchased 1/60 waterslide decals and just make the best of it. So beyond the ones in the instruction manual, I added some here and there based on the Master File book so you can say I'm kind of doing my own thing. Though I need something for the Super Packs since the ones I have are wrong. I might try those Hasegawa ones from eBay soon and see how it's going to look.

Great hauls everyone! I used to have the first gen Revoltech figures from Eva's to Getter's. I stopped buying Revoltech after those non-transforming VF-1's. So I'm not familiar with their releases nowadays. How is it compared to the old ones? -
Great setup you got there, Pat S!

Like I said before. THIS fixes should've done the moment they started reissuing VF-1's. 'Nuff said.

I can't help but notice, but that Leonidas kinda felt like a crossover between Zoids and Transformers. I'm really not a Transformers guy, well except for some G1 stuff. So basically, I can't keep track on who's who. But I like how it looks.- 9366 replies

They didn't have any problems re-releasing those Roy and Hikaru VF-1's, right? Probably it took some time doing those upgrades they showed on their blog a few weeks ago. Lucky that even the regular release will have those upgrades knowing that there's already existing 2 PF's without those upgrades. Anyways, it's too early to panic.

Out of curiosity. When did that 1/8 scale got released and is that a resin kit? If so, what's the initial MSRP? Thanks!

The most biggest evidence Anime characters based on Asians
no3Ljm replied to AnimeRules's topic in Anime or Science Fiction
What's the point of this if you don't mind my asking? Based on the first link you provided, you don't want westerners to cosplay asian characters? -
Why? Is this coming out later this year? Do they have official schedule for it? Not sure so I'm just asking. Thanks.

Ok. I did try to imagine your process here. So what's going to happen on the railings that makes the tank split, slide down, and fold around? Would that also mean the railings will somehow wrapped around the abdoben or waist just to make the tank part go around him in the first place? How about the HBT canister inside the tank? And how about the engine block? Since it hides under the said tank in Ride-Armor (humanoid) form. Would that mean the engine block will travel below him all around to the back and goes under the tank once it goes around from the process you mentioned? I'm not an engineer but I think this is too much over-engineering. It's what makes the DX VF-171 explode. And it's what makes the DX VF-19Adv chest complicated. It might be doable in the hopes that you don't want the rider to get off during transformation. But this method is not practical on small figures. Maybe for a 1/6th scale or 1/4th scale figures where tolerance is high but not for small figures. And by doing this process it's not accurate anymore.
