that could work, or you can buy white decal paper.
-
I kind of like the legs I think it's half way to a good looking valk. the feet could be better, the nose and cockpit section heeds to be totally reworked, and the fighter mode could really stand to look less chunky and mesh together better in fighter mode.

you really should still use water. the decal isn't going to come of the backing paper unless you soak it in warm water. and when you go to apply the decal I'd recommended only using micro sol if you've got tight corners or odd shaped parts. basically you want to use water and maybe a little Micro SET (set smells like vinegar and isn't really a solvent at all, it just makes the decal lay down better.) to lay down the decal and move it around, and only once you got it exactly where you want it then you use micro sol to make everything contour well. once you put micro sol on a decal you DO NOT want to move it, or really touch it at all, (micro sol basically turns decals to jelly). also if you really want to make decals look like they were printed on, here's a good tip: clear coat the part you're going to place decals on with a gloss coat BEFORE you put the decals down. the decals lay down on a smooth surface better and the clear excess parts of the decal blend in and dont silver as much when on top of a gloss clear coat. also, after you put the decals on, do one more GLOSS clear coat over them; apply any weathering/panel lines; and then spray a semi-gloss or flat clear coat over everything.

if they are as the listing describes, they're figures for N scale train sets. http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/7...rackforsize.jpg

also it's worth it to note that the Daedalus and Prometheus are both described as being semi-submersible. that probably means it's fully water tight but not designed to dive to deep depths. by being water tight like a submarine it's also supposed to be air tight, (at least that's the intention of the writers I think.)

wow, the skygrasper and RX-78 are piloted by midgets!
-
Bandai pilot figures are all consistency smaller than stated scale. 1/60 gundam pilots all look about 1/72(for the longest time I thought my PG GP-01 was 1/72) 1/100 are more like 1/110 or so etc. etc. (all bandai kits have 10 year olds for pilots I guess.)

maybe we'll be getting more repaints of the VF-1D? (I'm hopping for a LV2 camo version)
-
lets see, there's macross and there's some gundam... that's the bulk of it. right now they have PG and Glorious series in 1/60, and there were some big, low detail kits that 1/60 and cheap, but are out of print now. Bandai also made some little 1/60 patlabor models and Wave made some 1/60 votoms. and alter is coming out with a 1/60 ARX-7 from full metal panic. and that's about all I can thing of right now. (not that great a selection of 1/60 toys out there, I miss 1/48)

I like it, they're so adorable
-
haha, oh wow... someone at EA must be a fan of Macross. Definitely has elements strait from the VF-1
-
want so bad... T-T
-
not worth it, totally not worth it. maybe for the VE-1 but definitely not the VT. and isn't the head/sensor thing supposed to be facing forward in fighter mode, not down?
-
they're illegal bootlegs. sometimes they're Rejects that didn't meet QC and were supposed to be thrown out, and sometimes they're regular products taken off the factory floor by workers, either way they're stolen merchandise. I'm so jealous right now, the klan I ordered from overdrive isn't going to ship for another 4 days :edit: OMG her boobs are awsome... :drools:

It serves a very practical purpose. anti-ship melee combat. to be honest I always found that the "ship needs to transform to so we can get power to the main gun" explanation was almost unforgivably weak. Did the writers actually think we're gullible enough to believe that the ship just happens to be able to transform perfectly even though it was never intended to, and that it's the only way they can power the ships gun? the idea of transforming capital ships actually starts to make more sense in the post 2030's time frame. Transformation makes the ships more versatile. if you think about it, transformation is the only way for battle sections to engage in ship to ship combat. the Main gun is so powerful it's really only for anti-fleet fire and because it has a rather long charge time between shots, it's not going to be too practical at close ranges. At the same time, the smaller guns on the ship are really only good for AA fire. melee and the improved maneuverability of robot mode are the ships only way of fighting at close range. -
I blame this on the declining moral values of this society do to the combined factors of an increasingly sedentary lifestyle along with decreased literacy and understanding of global politics do to every decreasing standards in both out educational system and the mass media at large. Couple that with the negative effects on both personal and environmental health caused by the industrialized production of consumer goods and it's no wounder we're heading down this road. also tits. (which Tommy Yune has obviously never seen in his life. )

http://www.macrossworld.com/mwf/index.php?...st&p=464422 I think it does
-
never built one myself but from everything I've heard they are really poorly made, lots of ill-fitting parts with hardly any panel detail, and a crappy canopy.
-
the 1/55 bandai's backpack stuck WAY out. it wasn't too bad on the old cunky, but with the Yamato it would have looked goofy with the large fins in battroid/GERWALK modes.
-
they needed to take the cowl off for hover, the angle with it on obstructed airflow I actually think the planed production design wasn't half bad looking (no worse than the F-35 anyways)
-
it was more like "Maus" with a lot more violence.
-
I prefer to do stuff with a more anime style (it's a lot easier ). but I do some more realistic stuff from time to time.

Medicom/Hot Toys and all 1/6 scale figures

nice... I'd like an emeraldas figure though -
Most believable explanation would be that he VF-0, being built with Otech enhanced conventional methods required a larger airframe to fit everything in. With the VF-1 (which is supposedly more advanced) they didn't NEED it to be that big, so they made it smaller to to be the size they thought they needed. of course that turned out to be too small so they started working up to a larger size again.
