I was wondering when someone would catch that. it basically is the boosters from the Armor pack, with carrier deck and main gun from the quarter. the little fingers are there so that it can jab things better and the elevator marking are visual kibble so it's not just one big slab. and I like the way the flight deck looks and wanted tho throw it in their for fun.

they probebly will, eventually. it would be nice though if they actually showed something of the actual product. -
I get the same feeling when I watch frontier and wonder "where the hell does alto keep all that hair in his helmet?!?" but needing to have some kind of pocket demention in every helmet is worth it to have nice hair. and as for the VF-400S, the battroid mode should be coming soon.

yeah, the left wing is really off but I haven't bothered to fix it. I was just having too much trouble getting it right so I went with close enough. the Idea of this was definitely to try and channel FSS as much as possible. It's been a while since I last watched FSS but I still love the Mechanical design. go wild, that won is kind of a throw away design for me, I don't have plans for it anyways. I actually think hearing somone else take on stats and background would be cool.

yeah! my set just shipped with a set of 1/60 strike parts. I've already got an extra VF-25F to go with the decals, now all I need is a v2 1/60 to go with the strike parts

I don't know, I like the GP-01 (in FB trim). their's something cool yet basic about it. I think my all time favorite though is the RX-178 it just looks so cool in titans colors oh yeah and this beast... hummingbird variant of the MSZ-006 zeta.

because the way most english speaking fans want to use the term New Macross Class makes more sense. the way the "official" terminology goes is convoluted, often frequently contradictory, and often times rather confusing. either way, I'm personally going to keep calling them NMC's because it sounds cooler and I really don't care if that's wrong or not.

lets see the SUPER parts will fit first release figures the ARMOR parts MAY or MAY NOT fit first release, we don't know. the web shop exclusives are 1. Alto super pack 2. Ozma super pack 3. 1 Ghost plus several missiles (for lucas set but should fit all VF-25's) (you'll need to buy three to get all of luca's Ghosts) 4. Galia IV set, with super fold booster, speeker pods and a 1/60th scale ranka (set is meant for Micheal's valk, the fold Booster MAY or MAY NOT fit first issue VF-25's) -
and now for an odd update. first a quicky mock up of what the VF-400S fighter mode looks like: and now something very different: Characters... yes, because even the most awsome fighter isn't going to do much if you don't have pilots right. anyways just some character drawings, I have no info about them other than names and planes. I really want impute on these since I hate doing characters first up, Alexander Byrne: Designated pilot of the only VF-400S and a Cyborg. and then we have the de facto squadron leader Emily LeClaire. the pilot of the VF-400F unit 101. as such she is a cybernetic pilot too. if you're wondering, she's also the one in my avatar, though that is a picture I did a while ago. and here are some faces because I was getting really frustrated trying to draw her face right. after maybe 2 dozen tries, I got these 4 to come out right. So like I said, I would love to here what people think especially about the characters.

and finaly what I've been working on recently: the VKS-2 Lancelot Variable Knight: as of now little is know about the VKS-2 Lancelot, the Preferred fighter of commanders from the mysterious combat fleet known as the Crusaders. based information gathered in combat, the VKS-2 appears to be a Heavily modified derivative of the VF-19 family of Fighters. like the VF-19, the Lancelot is armed with 2 beam guns in the wing roots and a head mounted AA laser. the Lancelot also posses 6 micro missile launchers in each shoulder armor; and carries 2 swords in each wing and shields on each arm. the valk is also typically armed with a combination single barrel beam gunpod/blade weapon (not pictured) used as the primary close and long range combat weapon. exact specification's are unknown, but the performance appears to be significantly enhanced over the original VF-19, and the level of hard armor exceeds that of any comparable VF in service under the UNG sphere of influence. this Fighter is extremely dangerous and is typically operated by highly skilled pilots. engage with extreme caution.

god damn photobucket... site is worthless... :edit: screw photobucket, I'm using Flickr (it's easier to organize stuff anyways) Next is something completely stange that I felt like posting anyways. I drew this (battroid and Fighter) in about 3 hours at school after a class was canceled. it is a bazar mutilation of the VF-25 into some sort of racing valk and it is the result of extreme boredom. as such I shall call it the WTF-25

alright time for some odd stuff. ok, first, an old design I was working on last year but never finished. The YB-5 Grendal heavy variable bomber. the development of the YB-5 began in the late 2030's as an attempt to fill the UNS' need for a heavy variable bomber to provide anti-ship and anti-ground support for lighter Variable fighters. the YB-5 designed by General Galaxy in conjunction with the YF-21 and as a result shares some noticeable design similarities. had the YB-5 made it into production it would have been a staggeringly powerful aircraft. the nearly 28 meter long aircraft would had a 4 man crew and would have been powered by 4 massive TNT engines each producing more thrust than the an entire VF-19A. It would have been armed with 6 interal heavy missile launchers; 2 large internal bays and 8 external hard points for conventional and Reaction type weaponry; and at least 6 beam guns for close combat. unfortunately, do to budget cuts and financial difficulties at General Galaxy related to Project Super Nova coupled with cost overruns durring development resulted in the Grendal being canceled after the completion only one full scale non-transformable bomber mode mock up. however, almost 25 years after the cancellation of the YB-5, roomers have been circulating that GG is once again evaluating the possibility of producing a quadrupedal heavy Variable bomber, (hint hint)

nuclear bazooka, superior.

well the halo rings are fairly low mass for their size.

technically the Fz-109 is based of the VF-14, and the Az-130 is based of the VA-14, at least until SK says otherwise (the vampire is such an under appreciated valk, it deserves more info and screen time) anyways, the thing I wounder is how much more complex the VF-11 is compared to other Yamato VF's.

the YF-21/VF-22 have the longest published length, but the VF-14 is probably a few feet longer. the Fz-109 is just over 20 meters, since it's derived from the VF-14, the VF-14 is probably around the same size. I think a simpler reason as to why the VF-11 cost as much as the YF-19, even though the VF-11 is closer in size to the VF-1 is because they know ahead of time that they will sell more VF-1's. Consider that the YF-19 came out more than a year and a half ago, and they've release 2 versions; the 1/60 v2 has been out for 8 months, and the already have 4 different versions out, with another 6 coming out in the next few months. the R&D coasts for the VF-11 and the v2 1/60 may very well be about the same, but because yamato knows that they'll be able to milk the v2's molds so heavily, they are able to charge less per unit because while it will take them longer to recoup their initial investment they're basically guaranteed to make it up eventually. with the Mac plus valks they have to make up that R&D coast in much fewer units since they'll end up making fewer of them.

there is a HUGE difference between releasing a product then several years down the line releasing a similar product that offers significant improvements and changes to match improvements in technology and changes in buyer preferences; as apposed to releasing a product then 4 months down the line releasing the EXACT SAME product only now it has 4 holes to accommodate an accessory that it should have been able to from the start. one of these is good business seance and the other bad planning. It's that old adage "an ounce of prevention," putting in that little extra time and effort early on would have saved them from ending up with egg on their face and would have made them more money in the long run. -
more like holding him back

how is that good business seance though? they're probably going to lose more money because of dissatisfied customers then they would taking the time to make sure that the product has a way to mount accessories that may be coming out. with a business the most important thing is making the customer happy, because if you alienate a customer not only do you lose his business but you also loose the business of all his friends.
