  1. Indeed it looks that way. I think we might also be getting some type of hinge mechanism to allow for forward pivoting shoulders/arms.
  2. Looking very promising, hoping to get the typical great threezero articulation out of that Battroid mode.
  3. Man... those eyes on the Hi-Nu don't look that great. But on the positive side of things, I now think the lower legs look fine. This Metal Build continues to have me question if my pre-order is worth it.

    Arcadia VF-5000G

Looking at the Battroid mode and I must admit that I am not really liking that crotch/hip/leg setup. Fuselage is hanging too low, legs seem too wide apart, the hip rotation point sits too high/too far back and that leading edge bit the legs are hanging off from is too prominent which is limiting the degree of movement for the hips/legs.
  5. Mafex Avengers are slowly assembling.
  6. Sure, why not. Some examples first: Couldn't be bothered to research the proper pronunciation of Shouki -> Viewer left with wrong naming Can't explain what the secondary flap is for on the seats, absolutely no mention that the MP human or Diaclone figures can sit in them. -> Viewer inadequately informed about playability option Misses to transform the rear neck/vent piece, push the back-plate in and tidy up the back section properly, but starts to complain that Shouki looks all bad and messy. -> Viewer only given an unfinished and incorrect presentation of the toy. Complains about foot movement not being good, but has not extended and transformed them out properly. The foot base actually wraps around and tabs and you will have ample degrees of pivoting. And one can not tilt the foot up unless you want to break that joint! -> Viewer given false information. Doesn't close the forearm covers properly after pulling out the hands, leaving an impression that things are gappy. -> Viewer given false impressions. Criticizes the looks of the lower legs for being absurd, why are they absurd? He just doesn't like the appearance or is there an actual implementation issue with it? -> Instead of giving context that the lower legs actually follows Shouki's original G1 toy and eventual Headmaster cartoon design, it is insinuated to the viewer that Takara designed the legs half-heartedly. There is NO redundant abdomen swivel to be used in robot mode if you actually tab in the rear neck piece and push in the back-plate toward the main body again. -> Viewer is once again provided with wrong information. Criticizes Shouki's cape as just being a messy design, but can't bothered to properly show all the options like fold it in or hinge each of those components away from the body. -> Again the viewer is left with a one-sided negatively infused impression. From these examples alone you can see it's a lousily researched and prepared review and in sum will leave those that are watching it with an inaccurate narrative of information and impressions. Contrast that with wotafa, were I may not be able to catch his pros and cons impressions, but due to the much more detailed and precise presentation of what the toy is capable of (or not) and how to work it, I find this to be more usable to the viewer in gauging if a toy is to one's liking.
  7. Wow... that review was terrible and I am not talking about MP Shouki. Absolutely zero homework done prior to shooting that. Wish I could quantum leap back into myself to get those 20 minutes back. It is amazing that a wotafa toy review done in a language I don't speak will provide me much better insight and allow me to evaluate if the pros outweigh the cons. It is unbelievable that a BSF toy review done in a language I do understand will not help at all at assessing if a toy is good or bad.
  8. I'm in, but the way the eyes on the characters have been drawn are throwing me off a bit. Also great that they seem to have taken the exact moves from the game and put them in the anime.
  9. The MPM line is foremost Hasbro driven and that only means spare nothing and cut costs where ever possible even on their "premium" line. Sure, Takara toy designers/engineers are behind this, but MPM-12 is the result of Hasbro's typical heavy-handed limitations and budget caps. This toy could have been as great as MP-44 with the right approach, design it first and then look at which price bracket it can slot into instead of the other way around. If I didn't know better, I would be inclined to believe that MPM-12 is Takara toy designers way of saying "F* you Hasbro! You want crap, we'll give you crap!"
  10. If you are up for it you should try watching all of Star Trek in chronological order. I used The Star Trek Chronology Project in the lead up to PIC first season. As you have started with TOS you would have to fudge ENT, but you are still pretty much at the beginning of things so there is plenty to work with. Personally I thought it was quite fun to watch a batch of episodes from one series and then switch over to another series or break for one of the later TNG movies.
  11. This one popped up in my YouTube, pretty neat I must say.
  12. I'm fine with MP-49 being the way he is. Sure, painting him would so much better, but had Takara done that I'm certain the number one complaint and false argumentation would have been a supposedly oh so expensive price again instead of not having paint.
  13. MP Black Lio Convoy incoming. https://www.taghobby.com/archives/632707

    Hi-Metal R

Anyone notice that the VF-1S has side covers now!? When did that happen or is this Roy going to be a reissue with improvement? One of my biggest annoyances with HMR VF-1 seems to be rectified now.
  15. Yeah Detritus... still waiting on him too. When Hound came out I was sure that within a year we would get the repaint. I think there was that prototype rifle or something that they showed off with Hound early on, but did not end up part of his accessories and that kind of fueled the idea Detritus was imminent. Personally I wish Takara would make it a default practice to release a Decepticon alter-ego from each carbot just to fill the ranks. They have done it for some but not all, use existing names/characters or create new ones, it doesn't matter.
  16. Wotafa got an early sample of MP Skyfire. Love the elegant solution to hide the folded wings and compact the backpack and the extra/separate hip articulation is neat, it can act like a reverse waist/ab crunch to the main body. Transformation being more on the chunky and simplistic side is not to my liking, but not something that will deter me from getting MP-57. And it is called RESPECT mode when doing VF-1/Jetfire references, don't call it anything different. 😄
  17. Saw these a while ago and since we now have a centralised ST thread, this is the perfect opportunity. Some great fun and massive respect on the effort that was put into it. They also chose one of the greatest VOY episodes ever. 😄
  18. Transformation feels a bit too simplistic, not quite what I like to see on a MP.
  19. The combiner might be too small, but I think TT tried to stress that the individual Trainbot has size compatibility with other MPs. Also these two video adverts have been posted.
  20. One more thing to consider is that Takara's individual robot mode sizes match/scale better and accordingly with other MPs.
  21. Heads up! If you missed Spider-Man or Venom the first time around, then now is your chance to get them Anime-Export for reasonable prices. Decide quick, because pre-order already closes on 10 June. https://www.anime-export.com/index.php?product=58373 https://www.anime-export.com/index.php?product=58372
  22. Teaser for MPG Yukikaze, should have better images in the next couple of days. https://news.tfw2005.com/2022/06/05/takara-tomy-transformers-mpg-collection-masterpiece-yukikaze-images-457928
