To the best of my knowledge, it having been a while since I openned this beasty up it is built into the motherboard. Now how would I manually add it?

Ok here is an odd one. I have had this computer for years and the problem has never really been a problem since I have always used a wireless network connection. But since I went to a cable modem I am curious to see just how much faster a connection a hard line would be. So I hooked up my ethernet cable to the router, and nothing. The computer will not see the hardline connection to the router, only the wireless. Checking the network connections it sees the wireless and the two 1394 firewire connections, which are not in use. The router does not even register the cable being hooked up and I know it is a good cable because I have used it hook up to laptop before. So here is my question, is my LAN card hosed, or is there some magic I have to work in order to get it to work? Also in the device manager it does not appear.

Look at page 85 of the design works, and compare the back of the legs in battroid mode to the back of the legs in battroid mode without the fastpacks on page 84 and you can see what I am talking about.

not sure if this was brought up already but I was checking out my design works and noticed something. Go to the YF-19 pages and on IIRC page 85 it shows the fast packs. It also shows that the FAST Packs have something on the back of the legs, meaning that Yamato is correct in their fast pack design and that means that the legs may by canon move down a little bit to allow for the FAST Packs, though it is not clearly shown in any of the lineart I looked at.

I never cared for the first FF movie, never was much of an FF fan to begin with. But yes Alba definitely wrong casting, the age difference was fine, she is suppossed to be a few years younger then Reed, but she is just not a good actress and totally miscast. Now I watched the trailer, the surfer looks bad@$$ and I do wonder who flame boy will survive his little orbital jaunt with him. My biggest question is, will galacticus appear? I mean the surfer was originally the herald of Galacticus does this mean that the world destroyer will make his appearance?

Looks great but it crashes everytime I play the first mission right after I autopilot back to the Wellington.

What kind of scholarship are these for?

I like the fighter designs, but are they full variable, ie battroid or only go to Gerwalk? Also, any idea what the storyline is yet?

Not bad, but the voice effect when Focker is talking over the radio is a little distracting.

I think that he never intended to really develop the VF-4, let's face it it really doesn't show up that much in any of the animation. A model in SDF and DYRL, and a couple of brief flyby's in 2012. I almost wonder if he even meant for it to be a variable fighter. Let's face it the VF-4 has a dead sexy fighter mode, but it's battroid mode leaves a lot to be desired. Plus there are some serious inconsistencies in its design evolution. Early drawings show a much different gerwalk then what we eventually got, especially in the arms. So that makes me think that maybe when he first drew it up he had a better transformation in mind but let it fall to the wayside with the original end of Macross. Then when he picked it back up, what ten year later, he had lost those notes and gave us what we have now. Just my opinion, but you have to agree that the VF-4 has one of the wonkist transformations of any valk.

It is nice looking but you can clearly see that ARMD is wrong, it has mirror bridge but not the revised engines.

You're hardly anti-compendium, you are merely pointing out deficiencies, omissions, errors in the published materials that are in it and considered canon. You have pointed out several things that are in the anime but not listed in compendium. I think you may be right that the stats that were published, and therefore presented in the compendium, are based on an earlier design for the carrier and for some reason carried over, probably due to someone not paying attention. Hey it happens all over, and its nothing to get upset about, if you really want to see some people get anal over it go over to www.wcnews.com those guys are wing commander nuts and in their ship database they have all the different stats for the craft. From the published materials, the games themselves, etc...

As everyone else seems to have said, it looks good but needs a different gunpod, that one really doens't work with it.

Nice I've never seen lineart of the rogue mecha from plus before, it looks scrawnier then in the anime though.

Most of the criticism I have seen in this thread has been constructive, it is people trying to help, if you want to see some very unconstructive criticism take a look at some of my old threads. The one where A-1 redrew one of my designs as falice comes to mind. The amount of research that Sketch is suggesting also isn't vast, if you want to make your mechs more realistic then the next time you go to the bookstore instead of buying the latest Intron-depot pick up a book on mechanical cross-sections. I garuntee that taking that as even bathroom reading will increase your knowledge of how machines work and will help you become a better, more realistic artist. Also as to your electromagnetic rotors. You are basically describing a very advanced motor, which is fine, but there is still a problem, what/where is your power supply?
