  1. It IS a maintainer's nightmare.
  2. It was explicitly stated in the Return of the Jedi Novelization that the fight that claimed Anakin's injuries was on the side of a volcano. IIRC the original script also included lines by Obi Wan stating that as well.
  3. The two hardest missions in X-Wing had to be the one with the medical frigate where the imperial frigate keeps jumping in all over the place dumping tie fighters, and the final trench run. The only way I ever beat the trench run was to dive in low, target the exhaust port then to pull out of the trench until I was less then 10 klicks away before diving back in, otherwise you just get shredded by cannonfire. The frigate mission was such a pain it was actually mentioned in the first Rogue Squadron novel.
  4. There is also a 1:72 scale nimitz at the Admiral Nimitz Museum in Texas.
  5. I would add the Stackpole "Rogue Squadron" Books to that list, IMHO he and Zahn are the only EU writers worth reading. Well maybe Alan Dean Foster's Splinter of the Minds Eye too, the original EU book, and what should have been the first sequel if Lucas hadn't pulled out of their deal.
  6. is that green one a zent color scheme?
  7. last star wars comic I bought was rouge squadron, now that was a good series, as were the books.
  8. missed the third episode, it seems ok, but not really something I would watch. So they changed Nathan Fillion's character or the hispanic guy?
  9. This all from a game right, or were you a real pilot in the luftwaffe, if so you win the prize for oldest member on the boards.
  10. Only if they are over 6' tall... See this thread on the old forums: http://www.macrossworld.com/cgi-bin/mwfarc...360;hl=knight26
  11. Nice, maybe I'll get to see it close up soon, oops I probably shouldn't have said that...
  12. Pictures please
  13. can someone show it next to its real Walther P38 so we can see the size difference?
  14. The tron thing may have also been what Lucasfilm pulls. Right before Ep3 came out a really fantastic CG artist Steve "Coolhand" Tyler (no relation to the Aerosmith Frontman) created this awesome star destroyer model inspired by the early shots of the EP3 Star Destroyers. Fast forward to a couple months after EP3 came out and a poster, or possibly book cover (I don't remember anymore) came out that clearly showed Coolhands Stardestroyer on it. Steve felt honored and simply wrote to lucasfilm liscencing asking for credit for the design, not for money, just an acknowledgement. Lucasfilm's reaction was to tell him that he had no rights to the design because it was based on/inspired by lucasfilm intellectual property. Steve of course did not have the means to fight this, simply asked that he be given credit, was denied and has since stopped doing any CG modelling of star wars. This also convinced many other fine CG artists to abandon their own SW based projects for fear of the same thing happening to them. So it is possible that Disney pulled the same thing. Heck at least other studios give credit when fan designs end up in their work.
  15. I will see if I can come, may bring along by stepson too as he is getting hooked on Macross
  16. that intro was pure 80's cheesey glory
  17. no size changing huh, then why are primes tires at least 50% bigger then on the peterbuilt?
  18. I kind of like the april fools design, but not as the original kirk enterprise, I see it more like what the mirror universe enterprise should have looked at given what was shown in Enterprise. Think about it, that design is about 100 years beyond the kirk era, and in enterprise, the mirror universe archer captured a connie class, which was about 100ys beyond them correct? So it would make perfect sense that their tech level would look like that by the mirror universe kirk timeframe right?
  19. Question, the ball aside, just how durable and easily transformable are these? I ask because my stepson turns five next month and wants a Hikaru and Sempei Valkyrie, and was thinking of getting him the first release 3 pack.
  20. OH man, it was a joke, need to call the colonel and stop the airdrop, and I thought a C-17 dropping a full load of manure on their HQ would have been poetic justice.
  21. nice JDAMs, and is that a clothe flight suit on leia, very nice, the guys on joecustoms or goodtogocustoms would love that
  22. that is a cool picture, but isn't the legioss just way too big?
