  3. *knock knock knock* Hello McFly!!! Have you ever heard of the SV-51 or the Q-Rau?
  4. Finally ones I will be seriously hard pressed not buy, though Ace did not look like that in that issue.
  5. Here here, same goes for scrawny little naughtily Portman
  6. I really don't get the obsession with Grace Park, she is only OK in my book.
  7. That is correct sir on both counts. When GD originally designed the F-16 the ACES-2 was still in development so the side rails were an unknown. The seat mounting was then redesigned after the full specs were revealed in order to make the seat fit inside the cockpit tub that was designed and not hit the canopy. The extra G tolerance was a happy offshoot.
  8. Only if the cockpits are resized to fit the figures, aren't all the 25 anniversarry figures actually 1:18 scale which makes them a pain to fit in their normal joe vehicles?
  9. Just listened and I loved it, can't wait for part 3.
  10. Other then there is a lot more cleanup on the left one, what's the difference?
  11. Ever since SK came out and said that the canon story is SDF, and the canon visuals are DYRL I figured that really it was an evolution of the two. Say at the beginning everything looks like in the series ok, the Macross, the Valks, all of it. As time goes on the Macross gets patched and more and more starts to look like the DYRL version until finally the 2012 refit comes along and the Macross gets the full make over to DYRL appearance. (which makes sense if DYRL is a movie in the continuity and they used the "real" Macross for it, no movie budget would allow them to refit or redress the macross just for the movie, and even then P&D were no longer spaceworthy. The valks also evolve then through the series, IIRC it is never stated when the Block 6 configuration gets built so it is entirely possible that when the Macross gets back to Earth that the Block 6 is in full production and many valks get replaced with them, or possibly retrofitted to the Block-6 standard. As for the Booby-Duck being a strike, I don't go for that one I think that having the supers be an evolved model is a better idea. But then until SK says so we will never know the real true canon.
  12. I really doubt that UCAVs will be used much for CAS unless they are imbedded assetts where the ground troops/tankers are controlling them, otherwise I doubt that the ground assetts would want a remotely controlled, or worse yet autonimous aircraft defending them.
  13. Note where I said, INVERTED, the engine intakes on our little paper concept are dorsal not ventral. And no, we are not trying to bring back the A-12, what a POS that was.
  14. We're getting off topic, but, the F-35 fills a nice nitch role, it really more then anything else is a modernized, stealthy THUD, with a bit of F-16 and F-117 mixed in, and for the marines, Harrier. In that respect it makes a nice interdictor aircraft that can go in first, hit key targets and then fight its way back out. Is it a pure fighter, no, is it a pure attacker, no, is it a strike fighter, barely. Is it a tank killer/close air support aircraft, no way in H3!!. A true A-10 replacement is no where near available, OPSEC, and the A-10C, while a great upgrade of my beloved A-10 will unfortunately be replaced by the F-35 unless something better comes along. In truth though nothing will, the Air Force leadership does not like the CAS role yet doesn't want to fixed wing CAS back to the army because it will call into question why we have the Air Force, and I work for them, trust me. The future of CAS therefore lies with the helicopters so more and more we will likely see air-cav units traveling alongside the tanks, possibly even having support units integrated amongst the tanks. In an acq class last year my team actually put together a proposal for a legimate A-10, A-6 replacement that would give the stealth performance and close air support ability needed in such an aircraft and the payload as well. Since it was a 1 week course we couldn't really design anything from scratch so used the an old Luft '46 concept the Gotha P.60 as substitute for the pictures. Since then I have been in irregular contact with one of my team members over at DARPA and have shot basically pencil sketches back and forth of a concept more closely resembling the P.60A2, but inverted with some stealth features, a larger size and more conventional seating. Something based on this would be a nice successor to the A-10C and would give the generals/admirals the stealth features they are clamoring for.
  15. David got that all right, lets face it no one would see an F-23 until it was up your rear and spanking you across the sky, lol.
  16. Just a suggestion james take it or leave it. Take your original scan, set it as your base layer, then set up a new layer above it and trace out the lines. This should give you a much cleaner lineart to start with and since you are mostly dealing with hard angles shouldn't prove too hard. Then of course delete your base layer, it should help with coloring it as well.
  17. Any screenies of all these schemes out there?
  18. I'll give you props for actually drawing and then scanning in all these armored parts on your VF-2, but your coloring needs serious work, you might also want to go in and digitally clean up some of your lines, tightening them up as that will help with coloring. Also, has been pointed out your concept is ultimately flawed in the Macross universe. Especially macross-2 where the Metal Siren was perfectly capable of destroying capital ships by itself without such overdone armored systems.
  19. Yeah I didn't like that it seemed like Adama only flew one mission, and that his fighter was lost that way, sorry but after the crash that resulted from his ejection that bird would never have flown again. All in all that is just bad writing. If they had just said that it was x number of months between webisodes 3 and 4, then it would have been better, make it seem like he had been flying more then just one mission. Also having him crash land instead of eject would have made the viper at least salvagable.
  20. I vaguely recall watching this as a kid on KTLA, it was either this or the "Rick Yamato" version of the pilot, they showed it the day before Robotech started officially. Listenning to the podcast I agree this thing sounded terrible, though I have found your last couple of podcasts to be somewhat lacking, maybe it is the material you are reviewing but for some reason the podcasts just aren't coming off a well as before. At least IMHO.
  21. True but he still the top of my list of writers I wouldn't want to tick off, he barks and bites...
  22. So is thing official, fan made, what?
