    Macross Revoltech

I think that the Regults are the best of that lot, I never liked the buff yF-19 and YF-21
  3. Very nice, is Capn A now working for yamato or something, cause that looks way too much like his model, lol.
  4. *grumble* dang firewall at work
  5. A conversion kit to VF-22 wouldn't be that hard to do. The only parts to be made/replaced would be the canopy, the battroid face, and the belly panels. The VF-22 belly panels are basically the YF-21 panels with fast packs, so all someone would need to do is have a willing donor with which to remove the locking and mounting points to the belly plates and reattach them to the fast packs, filling in any gaps created and then smoothing, casting and painting.
  6. Can someone attach the pics so those of us whose work firewalls prevent us from seeing imageshack/photobucket/etc... can see these?
  7. can we see pics somewhere of this "new" prototype
  8. Actually that is from another moving he is filming where he is police chief or something like that, it is clearly not an army uniform.
  9. As the owner of that 1:48 Tiger Meet VF-1D, I can say I love it to death
  10. Is that confirmed, and if so, where are the freaking pictures? Please don't let it look like that Energon POS A-10 lookign thing, my stepson now is convinced that real A-10s look like that after his dad pounded it into his head that it was an A-10, ugh, so much to fix.
  11. It's a simple and elegant design, nothing too fancy, I love it.
  12. But why would Jerry care, his career has never been fantastic, and let's face it he's married to Rebecca Romane, so long as he keeps that together I doubt he cares about anything else, I know I wouldn't.
  13. Man that beagle one looks awesome, it even has the extending boots per the line art, sweet
  14. Copied from BJ over on SFM: *Virgin Galactic unveiled the design for SpaceShipTwo today: http://www.virgingalactic.com/pressftp/ Predictable design (knowing what SpaceShipOne looked like), but still looks very cool. And looking at that website, Virgin really knows how to put a press package together! There's an amazing amount of hi-res pictures and information there. Also, if you look at the nose of SpaceShipTwo in this picture, you can see that the first one will still be named VSS Enterprise.* And to think I will soon be working closely with the flight testers from Scaled Composites when I transfer over to Global Hawk, man that will be sweet. Warning these are not small pictures, dial up beware
  15. Physics in Star Trek has always been bad, especially their reliance on warp drive and teleporters, but let's not get into that now. Anyway building a ship the size and configuration of the enterprise is just foolish for a variety of reasons, I've argued about this enough on SFM. I can rationalize building certain components on the ground and then lifting them, but in a controlled white room environment, not in an open air drydock. I agree that this trailer is just a teaser and the fact that they are using the Koerner-prize could be even more misdirection but that doesn't change the fact that building a starship on planet, especially after canon shows that earlier craft were built in orbital spacedocks (NX-01/02/etc...), is just stupid. And as for EXOs comment about rebuilding a crashed ship on planet you are looking at an entirely different situation. The Macross design was far more solid and given the technology of the earth at the time of its crash it makes sense that it was rebuilt on the ground prior to relaunch given that they did not have the ability to tow it into orbit first. The Federation of Star Trek has no such excuse, of course then again, as iconic a design as it is, most trek starship designs are just plain stupid and inconsistent even within their own design rules.
  16. Did he have a heart condition? Pills scattered can mean a lot of things, as stated, he could have also have had a violent reaction to some medication he was taking.
  17. The lack of fire damage tells me that there was either no fuel in the tanks, or those engines were dead and cold at landing. If it is loss of fuel and the pilot has not fessed up we might be looking at a problem in the fuel quantity gauging system. I;m sure there will be an investigation into that system if dry tanks are discovered and the pilot swears up and down that his system showed fuel.
  18. About dang time that the Blk-2 got off the ground, sheol I wonder if they ever fixed the problems with Blk-1 and 1B, been out of the loop on RAM for two years now.
  19. Yeah somehow I don't think so
  20. Well, we're expecting a new little one in July, so I'm out this year guys, maybe next year.
  21. I just look at that and think two Tricia Helfers, mmm, I think I had a very nice dream about that, mmmmmmmm.
  22. Ok, since all my projects are wrapped up while I wait for my transfer at work I have had a lot of time on my hands. So recently I have been putting together an alien classification system, yes that bored. I am trying to keep it simple yet keep all the most pertinent information on it. Basically this would be something that goes on an ID card or description sheet when, especially when picture is not available and would give key information on a species. So far I have the following parameters, what other parameters do you think would be needed: Species name Base element (the building block element; carbon, silicon, etc...) Metabolizing Element (the element needed for survival, in the case of humans, Oxygen) Breathing medium (gas, liquid, amphib, etc...) Gen Type (mammal, insectoid, homonid, etc...) Sensory organs (does it have eyes, ears, nose, etc...) # eyes (if any) visible spectrum # limbs # prehensile limbs (how many can manipulate objects) (not necessarily the number of hands) # sexes size (overall height or length) Lifespan (typical) Amino Acid Direction (help ID food that would otherwise be poisonous) Activity level (what is their activity level in galactic society) Special Info (anything not already listed) Distinguishing features (any physical features of note) So what would you add or subtract from that list? A lazy example from book for terrans would be: Terran:Carbon-Oxygen-Gas-Homonid-AVOTG (Audio, Visual, Olfactory, Tactile, Gustation [taste])-2eyes-White spectrum-4 limbs-2 prehensile-2 sexes-size 3 (5-7ft)-life span 2 (100-150 years)-Left Amino Acid-Active in Galactic Affairs Coded as: C-O-G-H-AVOTG-2-W-4-2-2-3-2-L-A
  23. Hmm, are these more of the Larry Hama, in between issue comic packs? If so where in the continuity do they take place? The SS-FF pack must be Devilsdue from the look of it, I see no reason why the two of them would be at odds in the original marvel run while SS was in his Cobra duds. The SW-CH pack again has to be devilsdue run since CH never appeared in the original marvel run since Hama already had and killed a named cobra called Copperhead prior the creation of the figure. The Duke Col Brekhov, well this has to be marvel run, but when, Duke never met Brekhov in the Marvel run IMRC, the closest he came was yearbook number 2. Plus I really don't like seeing Duke in the traditional original 13 outfit, it does not fit his character.
  24. I Agree no Heavy Duty, Give me Road Block, much better character. As for the hispanic guy as Breaker, I think he would be better for Zap, who was hispanic. I think we really need to see a leaked script for this. I am also hoping that they will keep the uniforms somewhat sane and regulation with only some minor variations, sure put SE in his black commando suit and web gear but I'd say no more variation then what was seen in say, Predator.
  25. Actually the reason for the single lift fan door is for airflow control, the inlet doors for the main engine behind the lift fan is dual door. The single door therefore acts to split the air going to the two engines making sure that both engines get enough air.
