  1. Woah, that thing really looks disturbingly like the VF-0.
  2. Oops..... lol, I forgot to put a J/K in my post. But, OTOH, I would hope that the people of this forum are intelligent enough to not take anything I say seriously.
  3. Well, see, I agree with the airsoft. But don't shoot them! Just use it for intimidation. Especially at night, those things look like real guns.
  4. Abombz!! laughs at your petty pervert techniques! 0WN3D!!!
  5. Wow, Graham, I'm surprised you restrained from making another "hide the nosecone" joke! As for gunpods, I have to go with an uncommon choice, the alternate VF-1 gunpod, as seen on Design Works's cover. But the 17's rocks. As does that valk overall.
  6. Ah, here it is! It got up to 15k! http://www.somedrunkguy.com/rice/funnyricer.htm BTW, what hairy guy with the muffler?
  7. Lol, this is hilarious. Have you guys seen "that Accord", the one going for 10K?
  8. Hmm, actually sounds like a comprentent dub crew. Not that I'll watch it, cause I doubt it'll see a TV release.
  9. Maybe he's still outside staking out the door.
  10. I found a few places with the stuff online. I just couldn't find it at any "real" store. So I just wanted to get reports of what stores online have the best shipping, prices, etc.
  11. Meh, if you want to stare at things, collect photographs, or paintings, or something. These are toys we're talking about here. By the way, I purposely omitted sculptures, because I usually end up picking those up and playing around with them, making silly noises and all. Although, when I do that, it's usually for the purpose of getting a laugh.
  12. ...if you can find 'em. I've yet to find a shop that's even heard of Gaincorp, much less carries them. I really need to, as well, because I want one of their Su-34s soooo bad! I have a feeling David would know a good place to get them, right? Also, where is a good place to get the Dragon diecasts? My local shop has them, but they only have the stupid tiger meet F-16 and a couple bugs, which I don't want at all.
  13. What the hell is accurency?
  14. I have a feeling it's all going to turn out to be part of an ad campaign at the end of it! But, I'm going with the Sagara Sosuke thing. Just c4mp t3h b4s3, I mean, hide by the door, and see what happens. Don't let the person know you see them. Just collect information and report.
  15. I'd say transforming them isn't playing with them. I'd say transforming them is pretty much just posing them. I do play with my valks. Some examplese of what I consider "playing". -Doing takeoffs and landings. -Flying them around (noises are optional ) Taking multipule toys and making them fight. Note that it hast to be action, not just a freeze frame pose. If I take my Zaku and GM and put them in the case fighting, that's not playing. But if I take them, and make the zaku swing it's heat hawk, only to be blocked by the GM, which levels its gun, only to be kicked over by the zaku, that's playing. -Enacting any kind of ground scene. So, putting the missiles on isn't playing. But if you put the vak on the table and move th emissiles as if they were being loaded onto a real plane, than that's playing. -Anything involving sound effects Overall, I'd say that to qualify that "playing" is all about mentality. It's playing if you imagine, even momentarily, that the valk is a real valk in a real situation., But if, in your mind, it's just an object that you're manipulating, it's not playing. Now, I have to get back to flying my 1/48 in circles.
  16. Man, I'm a total idiot when it comes to playing around with Macross stuff. And it's not just limited to toys, either.... I was moving stuff around the other day, so the big hardwood floor was clear. So, then, I slid a bit on the floor. And, at first, I thought, Dom! but, then, I realized.... GERWALK!!! You guys can imagine where that went...... Of course, I do also pick up my 1/48 when going from room to room and "fly it there". Although, I usually don't make noises. Another one of the similar habits is one I thought only I did, but thar i'm finding out to be common in a lot of performance drivers and, drifters especially. I shift when walking around, and even make car noises! Completely without realizing that I'm doing it, I may add. Of course, I do another thing common of drift fanatics, I drift shopping carts in the store! But, um, on a less funny note, not all of us have girlfriends.
  17. Nice design, but the colors aren't too good. It'd look awesome in Team Oreca colors, though.
  18. I think there's nothing I can say about this work that hasn't been said already, so I'll just give it approval in a different way: When this is done, I will buy an 11FP for the sole reason of buying, building, and displaying this kit. My money will do the talking.
  19. ....And I thought you were into Zeon MS.... Man, how did you forget these things? I distinctly remember not only you, but Abombz!! as well, discussing these in the original thread when they first came out. I remember Abombz!! pointing out that the articualation on the Dom wasn't very good, and someone else (I thought it was you) pointing out that it was good for a Dom. Oh, and, these two are the only ones available so far, unless you count the Char's Rick Dom as a seperate kit.
  20. I'm not gonna go into the whole genre thing.... Favorite game: Gran Turismo 2 (PS One) - 3 has better graphics, but the physics are unchanged, and 2 had better tracks (Red Rock Valley, Grindelwald) and more cars. -Battlefield 1942 (PC) - A good game in its own right, it provides an incredible basis for mods, some of which make the game one of the best ever made. - Tom Clancy's Rogue Spear:Black Thorn (PC) - BT was a standalone game based on the Rouge Spear system. BT had an immense variety of real world, realistically portrayed, weapons, and some of the best map design of all time, and the best in the series. Raven Shield, while capturing much of the previous games' feel, leans a little toward the arcade aspect, instead of the straight mil-sim attitude of the previous games. And both it, and the Rainbow Six series' semi-sequel, Ghost Recon, suffer from less than brilliant map design. -Goldeneye 007 (N64) - Possibly the greatest FPS of all time. While games since have exceded it, Goldeneye was such a leap over anything that had come before that it deserves a place in any FPS fan's library. For many gamers, it was the first time a game had involved anything more than mowing down leigons of monsters or ailens. And, while it was exceeded in some areas by its true successor Perfect Dark, most notably multiplayer, PD was still just Goldeneye with improvements, not the revolutionary game Goldeneye was. -Final Fantasy VI (III in the US) (Super Famicom / SNES) - Anyone who has played it knows why. -Gran Turismo series (PS One, PS2) - The. Greatest. Racing. Game. Ever. It truly has no competition. Realistic tracks, physics, real cars, great graphics, the deep modification and purchase system. Nothing has ever come close. Sure, there have been games that were slightly more realistic, or looked better. But as an overall package, nothing can touch GT. -Metal Gear Series (Famicom, PC Engine, Super Famicom, PSone, PS2, XBOX, GameCube, PC) A series that needs no introduction. The series, especially MGS and MGS2 introduced a deep story (albeit a little too deep in MGS2) that made MGS closer to an RPG than to an action game. In fact, there is argument that MGS is an RPG. After all, it has an inventory system, a deep story, increases in levels, and more. And aren't those what define an RPG? -Microsoft Flight Simulator series (PC) - Another game that really doesn't have any competiton. MSFS's realistic physics, great graphics, huge add-on library, and thousands of airports mean that there's really nothing to compare it to. - Su-27 Flanker Series (PC) - Some may argue that Falcon 4 is better. And it is slightly more realistic. But there's a level of unmatched coolness about flying a plane that can launch from a carrier under its own power, and fly while pointing backwards. The F-16 may be a Lotus Elise, with its small size and nimble handling. But the Flanker is the fighter equivelant of a Muscle Car. Or maybe Falcon lets you fly the aircraft equivelant of a Glock. But the Flanker is a double barrelled shotgun. Maybe it's a bit less refined, but dammed if it doesn't blow a hole through anything you point it at. And plus, it's just an awesome game. - Half Life (PC) - This is another game that requires no explanation. - Battle Gear series (Arcade) - What GT is to sim racers, BG is to arcade style racing games. It blows Initial D's door off and leaves it coughin gin the dust. With a library of licensed cars, a multitude of tracks, and just the right balance of sim and arcade, it's at the top of the heap. And the newest version even allows users to buy a key that acts as a memory card, allowing them to earn money and customize cars, play online with players in other arcades, and even organize and join racing teams. - Kidou Senshi Gundam : Renpou vs. Zeon (Arcade). While lacking in the graphical area, and not the greatest game based on the franchise, FvZ still manages to be a areat arcade experience. - The Elder Scrolls 3 Morrowind, Tribunal, and Bloodmoon. Morrowind is a contender for the best RPG ever made. While the beginning is a little slow, as the game progresses, the amount of freedom the game gives you is unparallelled. And it's great in that the game actually rewards you for your effort. From seeing a town spring up gradually as you do quests so allow it to happen, to getting your own personal fortresses, and just gaining the admiration of the people of the game's world, the game gives you a real reason to keep on going. And the vast library of addons, from weapons to whole continents, makes the game's potential almost limitless. The graphics are great, and in some of the more picturesque locations, can be breathtaking. And the suspension of disbelief is also great. Unlike the horrible D&D based system of so many games (Baldur's gate, Neverwinter Nights), which requires so much attention to statistics and micromanaging skills and spells, Morrowind actually lets you have fun. And you can actually have fun doing smoe of the most seemingly mundane things. I've had occasions where I spend an hour arranging objects in my houses, just to make it look cool. And even things like travellign from town to town buying and selling goods are a lot of fun, too. And in addition to the great main quest, there are nearly endless side quests. And even when those end, you can make your own! One of my pastimes in the game has been seeking out vampires and killing them!
  21. No, these are kits. The Hyper Hybrid Model Glorious Series 1/60s. They cost about the same as the Perfect Grade kits, but sacrifice internal skeletal detail in favor of operating gimmicks, articulation, and most importantly, lighting. So, anyway, would you mind taking some pics of these where we can see the lighting in action? I have a feeling it'll look awesome.
  22. Ooh, it's finally out? I gotta go to TRU! Anyone know what it's supposed to cost?
  23. I'm wondering if this is gonna be set at the same time as the original,. or will be a modernized remake. I kind of like both ideas. Updating it to a more modern setting could allow for some cooler, newer, planes, as well as making some things more accurate (I.E. no more 'Nam flashbacks with F-14s dropping napalm, it could be gulf war instead, or something like that) And maybe Shin (why is that such a common pilot name?) will end up with an F-22 or something. I mean, that's about as likely as him ending up with an F-20 prototype.
  24. My friend saw a screening of it last night, and while I only talked to him for a minute, he said it totally kicked ass. So, it probably will turn out pretty good.
  25. Here it is, the proof that your airbrush is not what makes work good. Clearly, as long as it has a few basic features, it's the user's skill that makes a paint job good or bad. Of course, maybe I proved that myself, with my $150 Iwata Eclipse and my horrible paint work...
