  1. She does the role in english only. There is no Japanese version. In japan, the game has english dialog, with subtitles. Unless I'm confusing it with something else...
  2. AHHH!!! Spoilers! (I'm reading Red Storm Rising right now) Back to the subject, I'd kinda thought it was a magazine creation, it has that look. I'd say that it's quite similar to MSV (Mobile Suit Variation), which was done by Okhawara. (Who of course also designed the MS in the series)
  3. July 5, 2002. The night before I went to the Macross panel at AX.
  4. So, is Twin Snakes just an updated MGS? As is, are all the maps set up the same way? Or have they at least moved stuff around and changed where things are to give some variety as compared to MGS?
  5. RTFA... There was a wiring malfunction and the gun discharged on its own.
  6. Yeah, the F-22 is very evident in the forward part of the plane....
  7. Woah, did anyone see the Lockheed/ Boeing A/F-X Submission? It's a freaking stealth F-14! It's really one of those aircraft that make you think that the Valk is just around the corner.....
  8. Who designed the mobile fighters of G Gundam? Gonna love that guy.... Kunio Okawara did the hero mecha (Shining and God Gundams), but Katoki designed your Nobel Gundam. His Nobel Gundam? I'm the guy with the Mint on Card limited release pink Nobel hanging on my wall! He can't claim nobel, or her Allenby!
  9. Damn, you beat me to it. I saw this thread and thought "Haruka Nayuta did a much better job". Is that the models name? Does she do a lot of cosplay work? I don't know what else she has done. That's just the name they list for her in ARMS. Actually, I had to look that up. What I really thought was "that arms chick did a better job" Edit- A google search reveals that she, as far as I can tell, is an AV star. (AV being "adult video" for those not in the know).
  10. Wait just a second. Set Designers and Stuntmen and such are hurt by piracy. Here's how it works: Movie is made. Movie is pirated. Movie is less profitable. Studio makes less movies. Less jobs are available for production staff. I know this because my dad is an Art Director. As a direct result of this (combined with the recent trend for making movies outside the US), he has had much less work, and what work he has had, has been lower paying, and often non union (Important because the union requires a certain amount of hours to be worked per year for the health plan to remain active). Now, I have a theory about that ad. When movies are pirated, the most common method is to "borrow" a flim reel from the theater in the middle of the night. The film is "ripped' to computer, and made into tapes or DVDs. The Trailers and ads are often included in the bootleg product. So the person watching the bootleg will see the anti-piracy ad. Sort of like how they have anti-cable piracy ads on cable.
  11. Damn, you beat me to it. I saw this thread and thought "Haruka Nayuta did a much better job".
  12. I'm curious, how does the Jin-Roh design differ from the Kerberos one? They look pretty much the same to me.
  13. Basara. I expeced that to be true.
  14. Katoki didn't design Nu Gundam. CCA was 1989. Ktoki's first official work was 0083, which was 1993 (I think) If I'm not mistaken, Nu's designer was Yutaka Izubuchi, of Patlabor fame.
  15. There really are some odd weapons choices. I really hope that we see more variants. For example, I love the MP5, but not the SD5. And they list the M4, but no M16. They seem to be going for the popular weapons, too. No M92F, no Glock, no Sig 22x, but Desert Eagle, Mk.23, Colt .45 Gov't. At least the they have the Five-seveN. But, no matter anyway. I'll be spending my time in a Helo, anyways.
  16. I'd really like to see a figure of Big O with all the gimmicks. The hand gatlings, the arm pistons, opening cockpit, various beam weapons, opening missile hatches, grapling chains, and so on. Maybe some lighting would be in order. And a nice supply of diecast would be great.
  17. The design really grows on you. I hated it the first time I saw it, too. It's one of those mecha that looks bad in a picture, but looks cool in motion. Plus, it has all manner of cool gimmicks that make it interesting.
  18. That Kumakubo vs Kazama battle certainly is gonna go down in history, that's for sure. However, I think Nomuken won the 3rd place finishe he got. You gotta remember, even though the battle was very close, style is always a big factor in D1, and no one has style like Nomura does.
  19. W00t! It's Taniguchi's S15! I saw him take 2nd at D1 last saturday!
  20. Not that I didn't see that one coming.....
  21. You are Sailorpluto, the keeper of time Well... I do have a bunch of clocks....and I always wear a watch....
  22. Going back to what I said the other day, it's really not a bias against boeing, bit a bias toward Lockheed. It's understandable, there are a lot of former Lockheed people in the DOD. As for the JSF, the Boeing one had VTOL as well. And it was a plane that had a better performance, due to the radical design. I think a large part of Lockheed's successes is that they tend to go with more conventional designs, rather thant cutting edge wierd ones, and that figures a lot in why the conservative (IE technically, not politically) military and congress often favor Lockheed.
  23. Hell, I might add that it'd be cool to have the version of Totsugeki Love Heart from the first episode, with just basara singing, and then the base line, then into the full band.
  24. I never go there anymore, anyways. Not a new review in months. But I have noticed how bad the server is. Often, trying to access it from a bookmark or link doesn't work, but manually typing it in is.
  25. Honestly, I hated it..... Then, I started watching it on a regular basis, and now it's one of my favorite things currently on TV.
