  1. Yeah, I went on and checked it out, they model does come with CFTs, but no pylons on them. Still wondering about the gaincorps, though. I know that the Danbury F-15 that is related to the Gaincorp has very nice articulated gear, but not sure if the Gaincorp is fixed or not.
  2. I get horrible speeds, too, 3 kb/s is my normal maximum, on DSL. And I'm using Shad0w's client and have the appropriate ports open on my router. OK, oddly, I'm getting 8k now, so that's a little better..... I think I just have a crappy DSL connection.
  3. What kind of complaints are people saying about the F-15? I just got one the other day, and I think it's really cool. On a related issue, how are Gaincorp's F-15s? They look pretty nice, I'm thinking of ordering one. (Along with a Su-27 and a Su-34) Also, are the Gaincorp landing gears retractable / removable? I've never seen a picture of the gaincorp planes with the gear up.
  4. I'll see if that store still has them next time I'm there. As I recall, the boxes were a bit beat up, but the figures seemed fine.
  5. I'm planning on cosplaying Shin in his flightsuit for Anime Expo (and MWCon) Can anyone help me out by providing some good reference pics of the flightsuit and connected gear?
  6. The gundam is really hard to find? I remember, 'bout a year ago, a store around here somewhere, one that rarely has any gundam stuff, had a whole pile of the KS Gundam, for about 25 bucks a pop.
  7. Takumi's engine is actually lighter than stock, because it's a racing-built engine, and therefore uses more aluminum components than a standard 4AG. An MR wouldn't have been as good for the trick, due to the difficulty of controlling one precisely in a drift. Speed isn't that necessary in a drift. However, rear wheel drive is, hence why the Altima failed the drift attempt.
  8. Has anyone seen the real tricorder? I came across it a few months back. A company, inspired by the original series Tricorder, actually built a functional scientific instrument package in a housing similar in appearance and design to the Tricorder. As I recall, it's pretty cool.
  9. It's almost exactly a month to the next episodes, or so I hear. They're using a wierd "two eps every two months" release schedule.
  10. Interesting semi-related fact: I'm actually the sublecto of an "OWN3D!!!" Pic that's been used on a forum or two! Guess you gotta expect that when you let people take pics of you cosplaying....
  11. Alternator Smokescreen gets my vote as well. The Yammie 21FP is pretty bad as well.
  12. Often, actually, when you get a bootleg copy of a film that's in theatres, it's made from a "borrowed" master. Sometimes the projectionist will "borrow" the film. Or sometimes, a tape will be "borrowed" from the company making the trailer(s).
  13. Hey! I, for one, think that that would be really cool!
  14. Umm....DIY = Do It Yourself. He made it.....
  15. Man, you better not go all Quadrano639 on us.......
  16. Haha, nice. But for some reason, I don't think watching DVDs while you drive is such a good idea...... Unless it's Drift Bible or Best Motoring!
  17. You mentioned saving your paint mixes. Unfortunately, that's not as great of an idea as it seems to be. The paint will degrade and break down over time, and become useless. It'll be ok for a little while, though.
  18. There's been a rumor for a while that there will be a Naval expansion for Lock On: Modern Air Combat, which will feature the F-14 and F-18, among other aircraft. It's not confirmed, though.
  19. Cool, I like that the bay is detachable. Have you thought about making alternate payloads to attach in the same place? Maybe a deployable MASH?
  20. I stick to only the best stuff, unless it's a design I'm a real fan of, and have to have. I have a quite limited budget, and most of it goes towards my car.
  21. I think it needs bigger wings. Maybe lose the winglets on the rear (or make them above the wing only, instead of below). I'm thinking of a wing design somewhat similar to the one on the Pelican. (Halo dropship) I do like the way it looks like what it's supposed to be, a "fat" version of a normal dropship. But the wings would likely be inneffective at this size. Or how about replacing the wings with adjustable thrusters? (Sort of like an osprey)
  22. Here's something I can't seem to figure out: why is the overall VF-0 sculpt so bad? Think about it, in modern times, toys are so often made from CNC machined molds made off of CAD models. The VF-0, as seen in the OAV, is already a 3D model. So why could they not use the 3D model as a basis for the toy, and therefore end up with a totally accurately proportioned toy?
  23. If there's a Neon, isn't an SRT-4 more likely?
  24. Nobody ever tells me not to waste money on Veritechs.... I've trained them all to tell me not to waste money on Valkyries..... Well, except my mom. She calls them Gundam.
  25. That X52 looks really bitchin'! Too bad it makes my X45 obsolete.... And, BF:Modern looks more than a bit familliar. We do know that Trauma Studios (creator of Desert Combat mod) was contracted by Digital Illusions CE (dev. of BF:1942 and BF:V) to create an unnammed game, who wants to bet the BF:M is it?
