  1. It looks to me like it's firing from the "cow" position, like the Guncannon often does.
  2. That's the impression I get. I think there must be a couple guys in the back. As for what happens in the series, I can't comment on it, because I haven't seen enough of it. A large amount of what I know about the two is due to a thread I started asking about the same thing about a year ago.
  3. It's not the same role as the elint. The Cat's Eye is an AWACS bird, it controls the movements of fighters and reports enemy activity. The Elint is a recon aircraft, intended for such roles as photo recon, signals intelligence, and shorter range AWACS and limited ground WACS activity.
  4. Weird. That is wierd.... Maybe it was designed as an AC for AC4 first?......
  5. Ahh, wakata.
  6. That guy who gets blown away by the VF-1D's foot thruster in the first episode, when Hikaru crashes into Studio Nue.
  7. I think so... Wasn't there a plain silver one, that came out alongside the blue one?
  8. I need a GBA myself. I had one when they first came out, and it was promptly broken by my little brother. I'm thinking of the red SP. The color is just so perfect for Char Aznable! I'm gonna get one and airbrush an ince yellow Zeon logo on it. Alternately, I could get the bare metal one and use transparent paint to make it green without obscuring the metal grain and texture. IO could than give it the Zeon Mass Production treatmean. Which do you guys think would be cooler?
  9. I like ADV now too. They defenitely have the best DVDs. Plus, they're 19.95 anywhere I go, (Fry's, Best Buy) except Suncoast. And, yes, they occasionally have a 3 episode DVD, but that's offset by the occasional 5 episode DVD. Plus, they have the best titles (RahXephon, Full Metal Panic, and so on) of the year, the best packaging design, and impeccable work on the subs. Also, they have great video quality (admittedly, as far as I can tell, I don't have an HDTV), something that would decrease with more episodes on a single DVD.
  10. Hey, going to another note, did anyone notice the fact that the trails of the birds (penguins? Puffins?) underwater strongly resembled the trademark missile storm trails seen so often in Macross? I just thought it was a cool detail.
  11. Dang it, mine still hasn't gone over 1k, even after I downloaded the experimental client and opened up the ports. Oh, well, that's normal for me. For some reason, my downloads always go slower than anyone else's....
  12. A lot of games are impossible to have fun in with only a few players. BF1942 is a good example. No match is really good with less than 10 or so people. It's kinda fun to mess around on the LAN, but you just can't have an epic battle. And the bots are useless for co-op, cause thay're too stupid to fly helicopters.
  13. Yeah, they're the ones I mentioned earlier. I can't figure out what they're supposed to be. Obviously, they're based on the Soviet R-27 missile.
  14. They look a bit like the YF-21 overall. For a split second, upon seeing them, I was like "WTF?! Sturmvogels?!"
  15. Try leaving the upload on unlimited for a couple of minutes, then slow it down to "dialup/isdn" levels. Make sure you've opened your ports (mentioned in my post above) and that should speed everything up. Over time you'll connect to more people and download faster Yeah, actually, it didn't work in the past, but I decided to try again, an dit's working now, in combination wiht the experimental client mentioned higher on the page. It's still only doing about 7k, but that's about normal.
  16. I've got my upload on unlimited, and I'm only downloading at 1k......Oh, now it's 0....Ok, back to 1....
  17. Another interesting detail, did anyone notice that the missiles fired by the SV-51s appear to be Russian? Just another area in which the Anti-UN seems to be Russian. The missiles, by the way, seem to closely resemble R-27 AA missiles. Check out the distinctive design of the flip-out forward fins, it's unmistakeable.
  18. Yup. Wait a couple months, these things are gonna be 29.99 at Gamestop or EB.
  19. I wanna see a Lobo movie! Any "superhero" who would beat up the pope is incredibly cool!
  20. I think that spot in the eye is intentional. The Hasegawa Battroid has one just like it, in the same spot. It's not necessary as a peg, either, the eye would fit fine without it. As for the valk overall, I think it looks pretty good. The pics actually make me more eager to get mine.
  21. Hey, also in the "Revival of Gundam", has anyone seen that Tomino's original MSG novels are going to be released next year, newly translated into English?
  22. I'm wondering what Megatron would be.... Mk23 SOCOM , maybe? Although, maybe, to keep in scale, he'd be better off as a self-propelled artillery of some sort, or an MLRS, or something. He'd be big, but that'd be cool.
  23. Yes, the original ones are, but the new versions, as seen in the manga, are. The MG kits are primarily based on the Ka. kit. Also, the -4 and -5 you're thinking of are not the same MS, oddly enough, as the new side story ones, even though they have the same name.
  24. The -4 and -5 refer to RX-78-4 and RX-78-5, two new designs, based on the RX-78 Ver. Ka. There are new MG releases of both. The side story itself is, for the most part, a manga running in Gundam Ace manga magazine.
  25. Well, it's clearly from the newest Side Story series, the one with the -4 and -5. I'm guessing that it's a compilation of all the anime footage that was in the side story section of Meguriai Sora (Encounter in Space).
