  1. Or Luke in ANH.... or the wacky Yoda.... or the ewoks.... or C3PO.... People just don't like admitting that SW has always been for kids. That's what I'm talking about. This one is gonna be good, that's for sure.

    Q-Rau

Yeah it does look pretty good. I may or may not get one... too bad no holidays coming up.
  3. I liked Batman Forever but the last one was hit and miss (pieces I liked, most that I didn't). But the first 2 are nothing special at all IMO. Tim Burton is way overrated. This new one? I may or may not see it. Depends what else is out. I would have preferred they kept the one timeline going but oh well. Course they keep shooting themselves in the foot by killing the villains... which is what Batman is NOT supposed to do. He's supposed to want to kill them but restrain himself. Eh.

    Yamato rumors

I'd prefer green Q-rau to purple. I woudln't be sweating the mold details. They can leave it DYRL featured as long as it's green. There's even precedent of a sorts for this as they released the 1/60 Hikaru Super VF-1J with DYRL Fast packs and pilots uniform, so.... I dunno about a blue Max one, either... Not likely to get the M&M 1/48's so that doesn't bother me. Same with the GBP in 1/48. (Though definately in 1/60). Yeah... WTF is up with the YF-19FP... I can wait for Zero. I imagine it's inevitable but I want to complete my M+ collection!

    Got Money?

YF-21FP is a great toy. I don't think you'll be dissapointed. You can't afford any other Yamato's except 1/60s. GBP armor maybe... but only if you already have another 1/60 to put it on...

    Would you buy it?

I'd love to see one but it's a crazy thing to expect. It would be between $400 and 500 if Yamato made it... And like the Captain America's ultimate 1/32 Legioss, when it actually came time to pony up cash very few of these people voting for it would pay IMO.
  7. Depends on the guinea pigs who actually buy one and review it... if it turns out to be pretty good, I could be persuaded to as high as retail. Otherwise, I'm expecting to wait for them to depreciate a bit. Voted $50...
  8. Definately!

    yamato 1/48

I imagine a CF. Doubtful the Kakizaki or Max 1S fans are gonna get any love... Hopefully M+ in 1/60 or something, but I imagine Zero toys are gonna occupy Yamato's productivity for awhile...
  10. And without looking at that link, you just pull it straight out. It won't break.
  11. Wow, alot of you guys got them cheap, but noone sharing where and how they got such good deals. Share, you tightwads, for future purchasers! Blaine, $30-35 bucks is for JUST dirty. That savings already accounts for buying the recast stacks. It's even more ($40+) if one is willing to live with the neutered stacks... And at least I got a black gun.

Nice! Look forward to more frequent updates...

    1/48 valk

Oh yeah, I personally like the Roy better but that's because The Man while Hikaru is a woosie girly man.
  14. Eh... noone "arguing" over which is better. It's undeniable the Takara has at least one improved feature (the smokestacks). The "battle damage" aka weathering is debatable. If I could choose I would probably choose clean, but is "clean" alone worth $30+ bucks? Is "dirty and neutered stacks" worth $40+? That's what our discussion is about. Mostly we're quibbling about price. But noone would disagree having the choice is a bad thing. The problem is that it's not really a choice as only the gougers seem to have any of the Takara version left. If I coulda found a Takara for $100 shipped, I might well have chose it... or maybe not... the fact is that I can't find one for under $110 shipped, many quite a bit more (due to atrocious S&H fees from certain ebay sellers and/or sheer distance). Oh and Tiny, it's not false advertising. They even have the long stacks on the Hasbro 20th Anniversary Prime box. With the famous disclaimer "product and colors may vary"

Definately. The best valkyrie sculpt you're gonna find, but not neither as durable in materials nor as "solid" feeling (due to the entire lack of die cast) as a Chunky Monkey or even, dare I say it, an MPC. But more than 1 or 2? Debatable IMO, depending on how much of a baller you are and how much display space you have.
  16. Yeah, it'd be interesting if there was a different SKU. Anyone have both and can check?
  17. I'm all for deals, but when talking bang for the buck here, some weathering that can probably come off as easy as the Low-Viz did is the way to go. Well as far as I can see on Tamim's site, he's sold out. So if you know of somewhere else that has it for under $100 before shipping, then please post up. Otherwise the Hasbro is a far better buy. $94 SHIPPED?? That's an insane deal. Congrats! Where? Even Toy-Wave (which has got to have some of the best prices I've seen, including the 1/48 Max 1A for $89 bucks!) is $100 before shipping. I'm looking around and I can't find it now for anything else less than $110 shipped on ebay or anywhere else that has it in stock. And why would you insist on paying $69, when you can pay $63 (WalMart), Pfunk? Add tax and you're still under the Target price, much less Toys R Us. Yes, 13$ includes shipping (it's 10$ + 3$ shipping) for these recast stacks.
  18. I don't think the Max 1A does that well... so don't expect to see a 1S. I bet on CF (hopefully the dark brown of the TRU release if not a non-gloss version of the Bandai reissue)with everything else marginal at best (and think the Max 1S would be seen before a Kakizaki).
  19. Where else would the hands come from? If they're not included WITH the GBP, then they're gonna be vaporware like the 1/60 upgrades.
  20. Nice collection! I don't dig Kakizaki but certainly looks good. I like what you did with customizing the missiles and accessories and such...
  21. Ok i went through as many of the links as I could stomach... where's Arcee?
  22. WTF? Are you serious?
  23. Yeah compared to: Looks to me like Toynami wins. Though they definately need beefier upper legs, they beat the older version on everything else as much as the MPC beats the Chunky Monkey on articulation and sculpt accuracy. Neither is in Yamato territory yet, but still a definate improvement IMO.
  24. Roy had a VF-1A?
