  1. Progress !!!! mmmm Yes I really do need to do somthing to this mod. I have plans to look at it this weekend and visit it with my Dremmel to speed up the sanding of the Auto filler, as this is the bit I hate most. Dosent help that I slapped it on nice and thick. Also Im going to have to skimm some of the eairlier work as it has cracked due to shrinkage. At least its now and not after I painted it>
  2. What we are seeing here is nothing is safe from remake heaven or hell.
  3. Que scene from Titan A.E with the windsheild cleaning gag.
  4. The Sazabi is the one everyone wanted the posable hands from for the 1/55 IIRC. They are so well done though.
  5. Wow you really are going at this, it makes my attempt at the moded 1/55 look lame considering we started at about the same time.
  6. I saw a thread on the E2046 forum about clear purple.
  7. Still Im anoyed I never bought the one I saw in Tokyo for £20 back in the day.
  8. Thanks Skull.. We do need to maybe sort out the various 1/55 threads and glean from them the how toos etc. Then may be they'll let us have our own thread.
  9. LOL I'd pay for a Vader vs Spock death match. "Your sourcers ways are no match for logic and a Vulcan neck pinch"
  10. The man who can
  11. You could alway try the sandwich method, fill both halves with molding material and squish them together. It will leave you with a bit of flash to clean off, but with practice you can minimise the ammount of flash you get. Ryjiu uses it to make his figures masters
  12. Dang I missed that. I want one...
  13. Ive been leveling up mine in the SDF missions, I just play missions with lots of kill point potential over and over, and while im there I try different combos and skills etc. helps no end if you and your wing man have the same mech. i guess htis is a game i will play over and over much like the PS2 game as I still break that out. It was after all the only reason I bought a Japanese PS2.
  14. Some really great entries there. The Akiba Dio is great. What is the red mech by the way.
  15. Hopefully if its successful it can be seen as more of a rework rather than a peice of the existing series, kinda like the new BSG, same story but with updated everything and no actual continuity to the TOS or TNG etc. It could even spawn its own TNG etc with sets and styles in line with itself and not the original Rodenbury image.
  16. I use both Vasaline and the box method to great sucsess. I always use Plastacine which is a kids modling clay, its cheap and re workable. There are a few guides arround the web on how to do it with some pictures, This is a good one but a better one was submittedf by a MW member and I dont have the link as im at work. www.aircraftresourcecenter.com

    Latest custom.

    Frickin awesome man....... as usual
  18. Thanks I was looking for something like this a while ago.
  19. That sucks, considering they would probably charge you more than you could actually sell the sheet for is plain silly. IIRC a printers near me had a very similar atttitude. Anyone would think they dont need your business.
  20. Myself and Skull one have several threads on this subject. I did ask a while ago for our own Chunkie section on the forum. That would be easier. I know that Yammies are way better but most people still cut thier customising teeth on Chunkies as they are easy to get hold of take apart and way cheaper if you mess up. As a model builder its way more fun to engineer ways to make em better too.
  21. Well now I have got the latest version of the DarkAlex firmware it works just fine on my PSP, I didnt want to upgrade to the official firmware as I use uber memorysticks with all my games on rather than the UMD's as traveling for work with laptop camera psp games etc is a pain in the A$$ when going through customs far easier to just have the psp and its usb charging lead and couple of memory sticks. Not to mention gets my lugage weight down. Sometimes I find the camera angle anoying as you cant get the right angle. But I love it none the less.
  22. Lovely I wish they had made a 1/72 one. I really wanted one at that scale.
  23. Yup There is a much more plentyful supply of jetfires out there, the only difference between a Jetfire and a Valk apart from colouration is the nose. The Jetfire's nose is rounded and kiddie safe. Whereas the Valk 1/55 is often refered to as a lawn dart because of the pointiness of the nose.
  24. Thats how Im doing it as it is gonna rack up big money in postage when its done.
  25. Well I have to have one so count me in.
