I use a nail buffer and some plastic polish. Works ok although painting it only takes a bit longer on some bits.

I got one from my Joons bootleg which I made a cast of and have not got round to making any because I managed to get a spare set. There was somone here at MW who made them a while ago. You could try SliverDragon he does a lot of casting work for the 1/55 chunkies.

Your right brushing is a real pain in the ass. As far as cheap airbrushes go you can get single action ones made by Badger for arround $15 or so the one I have is light blue plastic and is ok for the type of stuff you have done with the Chunkie. When you get more demanding you can move on to a more expensive double action one, but the cheap one will still be useful as they are so easy to clean out. I use mine for primers and base coats still . Because I have a couple of Badger Airbrushes all the parts are interchangeable wich makes it even better.

As long as its 1/72 then its good by me.

With the older kits I get two or more as a build one and keep one mint in box type thing.

Even though it certainly looks great

Me too. At least we now know where all HLJ's stock has gone.

Well there was a Blade Runner 2 book written, by H.W Jeter so at least there could be a fairly decent script.

I never got the hang of FS2 modding although I didn't really try that hard HW2 wont play nice with Vista I tried all sorts of things to get it to work and the common opinion is it wont. I just use it on my Non Vista system instead. You could also make a dual boot system, that way you could still use it.

The things you see when your on the freeway eh! There was one of those on eBay a while ago IIRC it went for about $1000. Now if Yamato made one of those......... -
Unfortunately for me the only games I have ever been involved in mod work for are Mechwarrior and Freelancer. Mechwarrior was/is locked by M$ so you kinda need a dev kit to do any mods which M$ charge for I would love to be able to get at this to put in some Destroids, Zents and Macross landscapes etc to have a Macross city style battle game. Unfortunately I was only ever involved in testing for that one. Freelancer on the other hand is much more mod-able you can change almost every aspect of it, every trace of Non Macross esque Freelancer stuff can be changed or removed. A macross version would be easyish to set up. The only problem I could for see is the transformation side of some of the ships etc. It could be massive and have all the Macross worlds in it and potentially all the Bad guys including the Vartua bugs from M 25, all you need to do is apply zones to the bad guys via systems and they stay in the areas you want them. Players can pick a side to work with so we could have a battle royal or just have good guys against the bad guy A.I's.

Ok I don't feel so bad as I totally missed that too. I was thinking it was a post Holocaust Earth type scenario. Gonna have to watch it all over again. -
Thats exactly what I was thinking. ~" oh look there goes the band wagon.... let's jump on it" Next they'll re-image the A-Team and have a talking Van or something like that.

I didn't know he was gone. Although I have not been here so much recently due to being away working overseas. All I can say is don't multiple post just use the edit button, hell most of my posts do just because of spelling mistakes etc. Hope he comes back he was alright to me. I for one know what bans can be like. I have been banned from a couple of sites in the past Although RT.com (more than once) and Xbox.com dont really count as important. Whats worse is a forum that manages to change your log on password and the mods cant be bothered to get back to you and help you by resetting your password. At least the mods here are all "normal people".

I know I meant to post here on how to mod your PSP but others have posted a lot of what I was going to say since. IIRC my first gen PSP was a 1.1 firmware version when I bout it in Japan. I updated the firmware with a game I bought with it to 1.2 then at some time I down loaded the 1.5 verson. My friend found a downgrader that puts it back to 1.1 and then upgrades to the modded firmware. I now have the brick proof firmware installed and every newer moded version of firmware that comes out can just be installed from a memory stick, without the posibility of bricking my PSP. I am no expert when it comes to this but this was done without the pandora battery and uses firmware modded by darkalex. Later firmwares and newer PSP's will need the Pandora battery trick to mod because AFAIK nobody has made firmware that will go straight on like the older versions of the firmware. Sony fixed the loop hole and newer PSP's all leave the factory already with an Alex proof firmware on them, so only the battery trick will work. Thats not to say that some one will get round it eventually.

I too know people who have used JB weld to fix up stuff its like bondo with metal in, quite strong.
-
That would rock, but I'll bet right after Jon finishes the production molds Hasegawa announce the GBP kit for their VF1. Although chances are that will never happen as they have had years to do it and are now just following Yamato's lead and knocking out colour variants of existing molds.

I have the exact same one I was toying with the idea of building it but it is still sealed in the box. Its a shame that Rohby's custom ones never were able to see the light of day.

Sounds like a mighty useful tool. I would like one of those.

Are Variable Fighters Aeronautically Feasible?
big F replied to Hereticpoo's topic in Movies and TV Series
Oh I did all that 20 years ago and have been out of aviation for about 17 years. So much has happened since then and training and theory is far better. They let you use computers now They made us do it with slide rules and paper and calculators. We were apprentices and they were sadistic teachers, the military way is the only way. But even back then we questioned the theory. I remember one of the guys in our group made an equation to prove that bees fly by magic, as physics said they couldn't. He now works for Boeing. -
I too have used the method Cowie used with dipping in cold water it works a treat. Trick I found is to do it slowly as bending too much in one go ends in tears. You can also use a hair dryer too. Bonus if you have one that does hot and cold.
