I guess the only real change wil be when Japan really starts to hurt from its journey throught the recession. Its share of the global market has dropped about 12.5% comparedd to the U.S and U.K 2% or so in the last few months mainly because consumers are not buying those shiney new cars and electronics goods. Panasonic is considering clossing factories and Honda and Nissan have slowed production of cars in the U.K to a crawl. So it is only a matter of time untill the worlds largest shopping culture starts to sweat.

The Transformers 2 Thread--A Michael Bay thread

Looking at the Devastator render I am pleased in a way that they have continued the established look and feel from the first film. While for nostagic reasons I'd have prefered a more like G1 look, I totally see that this would not work in todays CGI driven movie world. This is summed up in my other halfs view of manga, toys, and models. She fairly hates the whole subject of robots and anime but has said that the film designs work where as the old 80's stuff would look too easy on film. She see the only problem is that the "big kids" will loose out as Hasbro is never going to be able to make figures film acurate unless they were a $1000 each due to the amount of moving parts neded to be used, that and it would take a week to transform one. Hasbros big goal is to try and get some middle ground between film acurate and kid friendly and parent wallet safe. they have a hard job. Treat the movies as rebbot material afterall all the best Sci Fi has done it, Gundam has and also you could argue that Macross has and does. So as Tf's have and are doing it it is no supprise really. -
Yup Toy stores are the spare parts yards of the scratch builder

Yeah a bit too arty farty. I would have prefered they were squashed into iddy biddy tiny tiny people or they were just spat out of a whitehole half way across the universe un-scathed, to carry on looking for life or going home. Tron 2 Why ? Just so they can make a CGI fest I supose.

Six official versions There is a page here at MW that I did ages ago to highlight some of the smaller differences that you can have between runs. Especially the Matsu-Bandai crossover's there are all manner of them some subltle some not so but all are easily missed. this is the thread http://www.macrossworld.com/mwf/index.php?...st&p=340647

Did you realise that this film is 30 years old in a few weeks time. It is one of my all time favorirte films and it along with G-Force and Dr Who got me into Scifi in the 70's. I still remember quing for it. All the kids at school were jelous because I had seen it and they haddnt. Still the book is way better and would if done more closely to the book could make an O.k more adult biased film remake.

It says in the "Transformers First Complete " that he worked on the Diaclones and had a part to play in the conception of Shockwave, Omaga Supreme and of cause Jetfire the team also made the Casettes and both Soundwave and Blaster, Megatron, Percepto,r Reflector, the minibots the Dinobots the Constructicons the Insecticons the Jets like Starscream and the tripple changers like Blitzwing Most of the original G1 line up was in there. All had different names. Ever wondered why the G1 range was seemingly so much better engineered than the G2 etc -
Should that be "May"-be Could get pushed back again... you never know.

Rock blunts scissors.... foamcore bends paper. I think the runway decal/stickers would be great to put below any 1/72 stuff for shelving displays. Good work -
