The Transformers 2 Thread--A Michael Bay thread

Wow Sideswipe looks savage those Wolverine like slashers and the rollerboot feet now thats why hes called Sideswipe. Ravage looks great too. -
Well you would have to cut a channel along the wing to place the wires. I would recomend using a couple of strands of wire from a length of thin wire as Led's dont need much current and one or two strands would be easier to hide. If you made two channels you wouldnt need insulation eaither. A small watch battery and a discrete micro switch would be enough. Clip a couple of watch batteries in series and you could have it running for hours with the right resistors in place. More difficult would be shaping the LED's they would need to be filled and then polished to make them work if you dont polish them you get a sort of murky light. insted of the pinsharp light you'd want to portray nav lights etc.

Battlestar Galactica Discussion III

Just think how in only a 100 years how many skills have almost been forgotten in our society. things like the Blacksmith, the Thatcher, the list is quite extensive. Now some of these skill have been lost due to technology, but what would happen if you took it away. The core skills would be come paramount to survival, but if you didnt know them you'd have to learn all over with trial and error. That could take years or even a life time. Superior knowledge and technology would only last a life time before the know how of it degraded enough to start becomming myth and magic, give it a hundred years or so and it would largely be forgotten. Our history has only really been documented for the last 2000-3000 years give or take, anbd then only by the winners. -

True but it is the common belief that the two groups may have interbred. Weather this led to an actual new strain of Humans or more likely they just worked out better than thier predecesors who died out in the evolutional race. Although until actual fossil records are found either that or someone builds a time machine and takes a look for themself. Any how it is great that the story is intervoven into our own history however loosely. Look at the alternatives. A Galactica 80's version were the long lost 13th tribe all speak Colonial standard language which is conicidently exactly the same as English. A place where you cant get a motorcycle that transforms into a robot but you can get one that flies. Well they could have writen it as the Colonials became a sort of ancient civilisation like the Lost City of Atlantis, or the Myans or Incas etc. Only ultimately to die out in some natural disaster or such -
Silver has stopped making stuff for now. I bought the last of the GBP kits from him a while ago, Im sure that he may do them again but his life is really busy and I know he doesnt get much spare time for casting.

Seeing the trailer for Planet of the Dead last night on BBC1 I and my Other half imediately said oh its Pitch black but with a Time Lord and a London bus. Be interesting to see if they have a Vin Diesel alike in there for good measure Eaither way its all good David Tennant could sit there for half an hour going Wibble bibble and it would still be great.

Battlestar Galactica Discussion III

All that says is 30,000 odd surviovors mixed with an unknown number of Neanderthal man and Cylons = several billion hybrids 150,000 years later. Obviously the Cylons learnt to breed or interbread successfully. Probably due to not having to worry about Trapesing all over the place killing Colonials and Gods big Plan. They just got on with living life, most likely this was the missing element all along. Anyways Thanks for all the excellent pictures RedWolf et al. this thread has been lacking in good pictures for a while. -
Do they have a shopping list ? Great work by the way. Always one of my favourites B5 has some excellent designs.
-
With your excellent work its a shame that nobody is willing to produce a game for this kind of model to exist in certainly this gen consoles and P.C's could handle it. It would be pure eye candy.

Now thats where I was going. Less likely for it to get trod on or thrown out if I make it out of Styrene. In our house Styrene is known to belong to me so nobody touches it Cardboard and paper seem to be fair game.

They are truely inspired designs. Im sure its no coincidence that both sides have had 3 revisions. Also how both sides capital ships have Star in the name. -

That just means she was the oldest known fossil of a Homo sapien found. There could be older just not found. May be they will find a fossilised older one one day. The whole story ties nicely into the theory ( largly due to fossil records) Homosapiens inter bread with Neanderthal man which lead to the strong traits of Neandarthal man being absorbed by the more inteligent Homosapiens. there is a lack of fossil records of Neanderthal man after a certain point, and it is all suddenly Homosapiens. Whats to say that the natives were not Neanderthals and the Colonials and Cylons were not the Homosapiens. The main reason the Cylons couldnt bread was due to the need of "love" a concept they couldnt understand, we only see that Athena and Caprica get it and they have offspring. Although as soon as Caprica finds she is not loved she looses the baby. She needs love to sustain the child. Afterall the only reason we generally procreate is due to "love" and our biological clocks Mechines dont have these, so they would have to "learn" it Technically speaking the Human race is now Homosapien Sapiens. -
Yeah I was very lucky this one came along straight away and after christmas and all the reference checks etc I was only out for two months. Friends of mine are still out. the I.T industry has taken a big knock as companies shed the expensive I.T workers who cost and dont produce a product. This thread is gonna turnout to be one of those great ones. Makes a change to see some thing from the background made all "real"

I have loads of respect for anyone willing to sit there and workout how to do this in paper and then build it. I have tried and found the ammount of false starts soul destroying, especially when someone steps on it or puts in in the trash thinking its just scraps of card and paper.

I too have the box in the loft room. When Im home I will try and find it and do a scan.
