Not again. Go away for a few days and stuff always happens.

Yup the best film critic is yourself at the end of the day. Spend your money watch the film make your own mind up is what I say.

I think its safe to say most here are more interested in Multi tonne Mecha slugging out with each other than the actual story. Some are just watching it because Megan Fox is in it though -
I bought it specially

Never read The Stand but if its as good as his other works then I should. Ironically the BBC not long ago finished the run of the first series of the re-imaged "Survivors" where a flu pandemic decimates the world population and the Immune struggle to get some normality back in life, with out law and order or any social structure. Maybe this is not the one but you cant help the media they love a big news story and will blow it all out of proportions. On the side of the media at least in this modern age we will have an accurate figure of how many do die and probably what car they drive and what breakfast cereal they eat too. Then at least if it does mutate into a medication proof variant then we will all know before its too late. Unlike many I'll bet from the 1900's who just got ill and died before the news got to them.

I use Tamiya for most everything plastic kit related. Gunze mostly for Mr surfacer and primers.Thereproducts are great but due to not being able to get them I have not used them much. Alclad is on my list of must try though. Air brushing enammels is something I have not tried that much yet,as I have not made that many kits that I didnt already have the correct Tamiya paints ready to go. I tend to use my enammels for detailing work and my oils for dirtying up my finished works though.

Having had an invisible friend as a child I am OUTRAGED that they would consider doing this. The original was only good because it had Rick Mayall in it. Has HollyWood got film makers cancer or something. Are they aware that buy making crapo films by ripping of ok ideas from yesteryear they are actually encouraging us to download films from torrent sites instead of spending our hard earned in the cinema, as they "may" be not worth paying for.

No household bleach the type that you put in the Toilet bowl or use to clean the kitchen wont work. it will only clean up the dirt. Try a chemists as its the sort of thing they sell it in the U.K so I'd assume unless its restricted in your country, thats the best place to try. Its usually under the counter though.

Exclusive MEH!!! Model yay better in 1/48 though. chances of getting one slim... I Love the fan racer. Any of you avionics buffs know if the design could actually fly for real ?? I assume the wings would need to be a bit longer at least.

Battlestar Galactica Discussion III

Thats exactly what made it so "real" and watchable. No ray guns and warp conduits etc. Almost what SDF Macross was in spirit. A drama that just so happens to be set in space with big spaceships. Allbeit that SDF had lasers and Valks as well but we dont care about that bit do we...! -
Thats what I was thinking, this is the sort of thing that I can get past the otherhalf without her going "Oh no Sci Fi. Mmmm spaceships. No thanks!"

Love it Great execution of combining two kits.
-
IIRC someone here said it was a mix of F-14 A and C parts, So I guess that would be easy to sort in 1/48 as there are plenty of detail kits in that size.
-
What we need is a Macross World buy out of a majority shareholding in Harmony Gold. <large booming voice> Shush!!! "NEAL BEFORE OUR COMBINED WEALTH HARMONY GOLD MANAGEMENT" </large booming voice> "You will allow Mechtech and Others at Macross World to make images in your intellectual likenesses"

I was hoping that would be the case rather than a lets zap your cellphone with the all spark type stuff. A swarm of those little guys would be cool. especially if they eat metal and stuff like the G1 Insecticons do. I know the AllSpark is just a fragment but I'm gessing it will have some sort of regenerative ability. Afterall whats the point in being able to give life if you cant maintain your own. -
Im sure that even if they just rescaled the 1/72. The fact that it was much bigger the detail freaks among us would have a hay-day adding in all the extra detail that is just nearly imposible at 1/72

Anasazi does use Vector graphics. I remember reading here that he uses scans to work as a base to make his decals from. He also uses the cover the subject in masking tape and draw the design roughly on the tape peal off scan and vectorise the image using the scan as you base.

One day some one in Hollywood will come up with an original idea. Im telling ya it will happen. We are like just over 100 years into film and all the ideas have been done... AS IF. Get off your butts pay the writers some actual decent money and then they will write stuff that is original.

LOL the exact same thing happened to me a few years ago out side Cafe Almond I too spoke to him in German and he then just got his buddy who spoke German, so I had to explain to him I wasn't interested in German, looked worse when he saw me and my English friends later that night all speaking English. LOL Roppogi gawd!! that place is two diiferent worlds by day and night. I learnt some Japanses from frase books and Anime and then from a class for a year with a Japanese teacher. That helped no end as she did the formal and casual speaking, along with writing. Although I have not been in Japan for over a year now I still remember a lot. I am geting rusty though. Oddly while in Amsterdam last year for work I got a cab driver who spoke Japanese, we spent the whole journey speaking in Japanese and english much to the anyoyance of my collegues in the cab, it was great to get someone who actually wanted to speak to me in Japanese who wasnt Japanese. The best way is to actually be there though a friend of mine is now an interpreter due to spending 10+ years living in Tokyo. He started with the get a Japanese girlfriend and learn Kanji by looking at them and remembering funny dog on side means.... and tree means exit etc, now he does translation work for a comic company, and guides rich torists and does company meetings etc If you work at it long enough it will come to you.

Nice job. I do like this design.

Just watched the first episode and I was surprised i did actually like it it has the feel of the older series with some tidy ups helped along via a better budget. I didn't miss the canned laughter as this is one thing in comedies I really hate. I something is funny I don't need to be told when to laugh. I will have to see the other two before I make full judgement though.
