  1. Probably nothing ever happens in this series without it being for a reason
  2. An actual comparison would be great but the Hasegawa ones certainly give loads for your bucks.
  3. I never really understood the rank thing in the Military, I always get wrong who`s who with the stripes etc. This helps alot thanks
  4. Oh poop I just read through this thread I just found the perfect thing to collect they dont take up any room and are cool. I have one from a few years ago but no I NEEED more.
  5. Well, i guess the good news is that we could always call things buy their Japanese production names. Thas exactly where I was thinking
  6. S is always back but A is always forward and J usually straight up
  7. Oh oh Hasbros gone all Yamato on us... Look out for the urban cammo Cylon, and special pink version of the viper
  8. Nice cell I have only one (Basara) and I got it for a steal in Japan a few years ago.
  9. Yeah at least one just for the sake of collection, reisue or original it doesnt really matter. I have 5 or 6 but I`ll never get any more but probably wont really bother with the Yammies eaither unless a two seater comes out or they do a Vf-11 or Vf-17
  10. In an ideal world WB would partner with BW/SN and purchase the original right from HG and give them some sort of profit spill which would allow them to contiue on their own project. In the alternative of that WB would partner up with BW/SN to make the film and WB would just sink HG eaither by buying it or just finacially flatten them. Ive worked in a few companies who have eaither been bought out or have bough out others, It gets really messy and pissy, so almost anything leagal or down right underhand can go on. I hope that in a year or so we are done slagging it down and are all looking hopefully at the first few teasers in the same way we were with Bayformers a year or so ago. If not... I may have to hide away all my Macross stuff As I am already board with the "aw look Robotech stuff" or "cool Transformers " from everyone who visits my house, but if the film sucks badly the embarasement may be too much to suffer.
  11. If they work in the U.S as they do in the U.K All the monies are put into a draw and It kinda works like a till in a shop. Theres a float amount put in at the start of the shift and the recipts and monies payed in have to balance out at the end minus the original float. They`ll see that its $100 down but will not be able to pin point which transaction it was due to the teller putting in $600 on the computer and subsiquent recipt. They may have an idea but will not be able to say for definate who`s transaction it was. My friend who works in a bank says his bank would let it slide for a small amount but if it kept hapening then the teller would get disaplined for it. he has had it happen to him once, But they let it go as it was only a few £. Similarly if the foat is up they get just as narked as it means youve short changed a customer. I think you should go the the bank and ask the manager to tell you if the tellers float was down. Dont say how much you think it is and if he tells you the right figure you can give him the $100, if not just make your excuses and leave happy in the knowledge you have a C bill spare.
  12. Yeah nice cheap budget film that put a point across with out the need for loads of computer based effects.
  13. Mr March I feel sorry for you just starting your cold turkey I remember when the cravings were still fresh
  14. I so love that as a Quote Im sure that if the whole ownership thing is gonna be played out WB will be the ones to do it they could no doubt buy HG and BW with some pocket change the ammount of money they have to splash around. Easy use your masive leagal dept to find out who really owns what, then if the other complains buy it or them up to shut them up, make film sell right to figures etc and hire som mor epeeople to count the money as it piles up.
  15. I guess its down to how old you are. I mean for me they are nostalgic in that 1984 they were all you could get unless you were able to make the IImai kits etc which back then when I was 12 I was certainly not very good at. Granted the 1/48 Yammies are with out doubt the gratest Macross toy ever made. But the Chunkys do have a kida soul to them. Plus when they fall off your display shelf they rarely break Im more a model guy now than I used to be but stil love the whole engineering thing involved with the toys.
  16. where did you find em ?
  17. It was the only film ever IIRC to have the ill faited Optica scout plane in that was futuristic before its time. They had an individual sound to them you always knew when one was up much like the Spitfire IMO Im just happy our local Airport had one

    1/55 Acces.

There you go the 1/55 comunity is helpfull as ever. If you dont mind recastings of the parts you can get them but if your after original no paint required then your only route is the expensive one.
  20. I so love your write ups.
  21. Yeah if your in the U.K and want BSG stuff your only option is expensive collectors shops or eBay so scarce is an understatement.
  22. Welcome to the fold
  23. I did look at DyNo`s hands and wondered how difficult it would be to make articulated versions A La the chicken hands. If I had enough spares to cut up etc I`d give it a bash, It would be the sort of quick project that I may be able to finish before my short atention span ran out.
  24. Technically they speak American not English. I agree with you so many people I have to interact with on a daily basis cant really speak their own mother tounge, it sad especially when many a foreigner can speak it better as a second language.
