Well Great our postal strike is nearing an end and they have just anounced another one we will get two days of deliveries if we are lucky untill the start of the next strike. I wouldnt mind but I have cheques in the post comming to me for payments of jobs etc and also a few things that are needed like bills and my insurance documents without which I cant work. Well over a week with out post and now more time without it.

If only real bikes could be as fun as in Venus Wars. But then HWR would want a tank from Venus Wars too.

As far as a thread on painting 1/55`s goes I dont think any of us has done one. But general consensous is you can do it one of two ways. With rattle cans, carpaint or Krylon seem to be best. They are great for durability of your gonna play with em and do transformations. If you want something for the display case them you can paint em up like models. It really depends on what you want to do and your experience in painting things. The only real thing to remember is making sure the surfaces are keyed, clean and grease free or your paint wont stay stuck for long.

Hey Squid I kinda feel sorry for you, But bear in mind that we in the U.K have suffered a postal workers strike since Thursday afternoon last week that will still be on till Wednesday this week, then they have to get rid off the national back log of mail etc. So all my plan to do stuff have been skuppered too.

Oh didnt know you culd get it split in the U.S too. My friend is a regular Visitor to Canada and he got it in one complete box set for less than the half set available in the U.K. Now when ever he goes he has a list of DVDs to get for people

The Bandai kits are good like MT said and along with the Arii and IImai kits open to modding and general tarting up. I have seen Hasegawa noses put on them among other things.

The whole thing just invites people to download torrents and bootleg DVDs. One thing that really bugs me in th eU.K is this need to split a series dvd set into two box sets they did it with Lost and now with Heroes among others. The U.S and Canada got one box of the whole series and the U.K gets two. The prices are screwed too the U.K set costs roughly twice that of the U.S one and you only get half the episodes. The U.K sucks mostly. Even my favorite torrent TV site hasnt got it http://www.eztvefnet.org/index.php Anyone know of a U.S based online proxy server

Yeah Valk is right The best way to go is Hasegawa. You can have all the fun building a Battroid and fighter and then you can get both kits again and kit bash a Gerwalk out of the two. They are much better than the Bandai one which are a 20 year old design and need a lot of work to look good.

Saw some of these in Japan eairlier this year. Bought some as gifts and wished I had a few "spare" when I got home.
