Great pics of the pair! Shows how they complement each other so well. I was finally able to get my Milia set up last night, and have them both with super parts on. But the bare fighters look just as good, especially with those TV missiles.

I haven't been able to access the NY site today, either. That is a great deal on the Monster. Depending on what they're charging for shipping, I might decide to go for it.

Yeah, pretty much my reaction as well. If they're going to make another 1S, then why not a Roy TV version. That would be an insta-buy for me, whereas this is an easy pass.

So, is anyone else wondering when the Tomahawk announcement will be? Given the tease earlier this year, I was thinking it might be next after Defender. I'm also hoping it's soon enough to be released in time to ship with my Defender that will be sitting in HLJ's PW until late October.

And I'm having too much fun seeing the results of all your customs. Excellent work! It would be great to see the TV Max in gerwalk at some point if you have the time. Are you planning on Kakizaki versions of both of those eventually, to round out the respective Skull and Vermillion squads?

Count me as one more who's curious to see how these are priced. I'm much later to the Macross party than many of you, I don't currently own any 1/60 valks, and have been hesitant to get into this scale due to space and price. I'm really into the HMR line, but I keep hearing that every Macross fan should have at least one "Yamarcadia". Knowing what the 1/60 V2 go for these days, I was already tempted by NY's preorder price on Hikaru's 1S, and now seeing that M&M will be reissued, it's making me wonder if it might be time to bite. What I'd really like to see, and what I'd almost definitely preorder, is a reissue of the TV VF-1S "Booby Duck" with Hikaru pilot. Given that Arcadia seems to be back in action, so to speak, gives me hope that might actually happen.

Looks good, sh9000. I already have my Max outfitted this way, and plan to do the same with Milia, once she finally arrives (currently stuck in SAL shipping). It looks like you went the extra step of painting the lower part of the leg armor. I would have preferred it if Bandai had released them like this. But at least we can mix the parts around.

While I feel the same about TV vs DYRL, it seems to me that they are mainly just wanting to move ahead with releasing the things they originally teased a while back, which just happen to be mostly DYRL, like VT-1 and VE-1.

Good summary based on the way I heard. It's actually near the beginning of the video. Based on this and the tease earlier this year, I think the next preorder will be Tomahawk. And I have hope that we may see a VT-1 later this year!

Looking forward to seeing what you accomplish, when you have the time. Did you ever finish your TV VF-1A Max?

Agreed. We're gradually seeing releases of things in the initial tease (destroids currently) so I think it's just a matter of time. That said, I wonder if Bandai is counting on the strong demand for those and intentionally holding off until later in the line. I'd love it if they'd at least tease a few more yet-unseen designs soon, like the remaining SDFM VF-1 variants.

Is that video above giving us the first look at the box art for the Spartan, or have we already seen that before somewhere? Either way, I'm noticing that there's no clear window on the box for the actual toy to show through, as on most of the other HMRs. I wonder if that will be true of all the destroids.

Got the email confirmation that NY shipped my Milia. Now to preorder a Defender...

It's exciting to see Milia finally as a reality! I agree that the box art looks great, and am glad they are apparently including an outer box as well. I guess that's normal for web exclusives? My Milia preorder is with NY. Not having much experience with them, do they typically give email notification when things ship?

That Defender looks really nice! (A bit surprised they would announce it before Tomahawk, but whatever.) I'm with jenius, though - as much as I like the destroids, I do hope more VF-1 releases are in the pipeline soon, especially a VF-1D or VT-1. I'm thinking that after 4 VF-1s in a row, they just wanted to switch over to destroids for a bit.

Even with recognizing that some of these are still incoming or in progress, that's a stunning list! There are a few customs on there that I didn't know you were planning to make but I'll be really interested to see once complete. King of HMR indeed.

Awesome, indeed. I'm already really impressed with whoever did that custom. Where did you find those photos, sh9000? The VF-1D is probably my most-wanted HMR of all the ones Bandai hasn't released yet.

Interesting. You know, when you first mentioned doing a TV Max, I was wondering to myself if using the legs and arms from the HMR Max 1J might get you farther along. It looks to me like it does, except that the whites don't match.

Cool - more customs! How do you plan to handle the colored heat shields? Also, how hard is it to remove the head on a HMR VF-1? Have you ever tried swapping heads with an original Hi Metal?

Me too. I was thinking it would give me the option to combine the armor with the Hikaru 1J I already have. And the dark blue 1A is a really cool variant, I think. As far as future releases, would it be more likely that Bandai would produce something they have already teased before something they haven't?

Playing around with super parts. I prefer the Yamato coloring, and kinda wish HMR Max had been made like this in the first place. I'll probably do this for Milia as well when she arrives.
