  1. Exactly! It looks like it jumped right out of the screen. Very cool!
  2. So as of this point, only one item from this display has not been released or at least announced...
  3. Payment for Defender processed through HLJ, and it's now in my PW! Also, a little something from the "Goodbye Girl" episode...
  4. Has anyone who PO'd the Defender from HLJ gotten a payment notice yet? Or do I just need to log in and pay? This was the first time I've done "pay later" with them. Also, while the group photos in the link above are cool, that unreleased Tomahawk is starting to stick out like sore thumb. Come on, Bandai!
  5. So is your TV Max finally complete? I can't remember when we last saw your progress. Either way, he's looking good!
  6. I believe I see what you mean -- that little corner of the side piece in fighter mode still sticks out some in battroid. I think if you were to make the side cover extend down just 1mm further than the chest, it might work and still look good.
  7. I typically use slower and cheaper shipping as well. I'd rather save the money than get it quickly. I'm just wishing there had been a Tomahawk this year to keep the incoming Defender company...
  8. So tempted by these new Regults... I missed the first one, and told myself (based on budget and space) that I'd stick to valks, and maybe a couple of destroids. The fact that I'm currently in the process of rewatching SDFM doesn't help.
  9. So on these Regult sets, is there any indication on the images posted above that the missile pods are removable? I missed the first Regult, and was curious if I could essentially remove the pods and use them as standard Regults in certain cases.
  10. Personally, I would prefer the design of the TV show animation in the top image. But if you end up making the Yamato design, I would probably still buy.
  11. Very glad to see this, and looking forward to seeing the development! I don't think I'll want as many shoulder covers as sh9000, but I would at least be interested in a couple. The prospect of side covers and larger TV pilots is also very appealing for me.
  12. I have done the same, and more than once. Those 1/100 super parts are getting tough to find at anything close reasonable prices. If you can find a good deal on the HM Roy, it's not that much more than what the standalone super part set is going for. I recently scored a loose, complete HM VF-1S on YJA (through Buyee) for just Y7750 including fees and shipping. I also found a partly-used HM super parts sticker sheet on Ebay for $0.75
  13. Interesting that they are making these. Does anyone else find it funny that they are described as "standing" pilots, but in all the photos, they are lying down? At least they're releasing a 1/100 TV Focker pilot -- Bandai has yet to do that in Hi-Metal R.
  14. Agreed those are best as a starting point. Been thinking about another myself. I only have valks at this point, but according to my postal scale: VF-1 = 2.9 oz VF-1 Super/Strike = 4.3 oz If using Tamashii Stage stands, each one adds another 1 oz.
  15. That looks really cool! As much as I'm all about the official "canon" look, it's fun to imagine other possibilities. Maybe a VF-1S version of the blue HMR Max to go with your VF-1S Milia custom?
  16. @sh9000 - Thanks for the photos! The red super parts from Milia look pretty good on the Hikaru 1J. I had thought of doing this myself to see what it looked like. I wonder if perhaps a better color match might be the 1J from the armored set, since it was more of a gray than white. I hadn't thought to put them on the Hikaru 1S (as I don't have that one) but it looks good, too.
  17. Cool! That reminds me of my silver Subaru Impreza WRX (GGA) wagon and the near-matching 1/18 AutoArt GGB model that my wife bought me just after I got it. I no longer have the actual car, but I still have the model to remind me of it.
  18. So they're actually making the SNES Classic a reality! I've been a little out of touch lately, but last I heard it was only a rumor. Very cool! Even though I've already got the physical carts to over half the games, it's still tempting if only for Star Fox 2 and Earthbound. Plus more kid friendly than swapping cartridges in a Retron 5.
  19. Looking great so far! It's nice you were able to work in the CF in all 3 modes. The gerwalk is especially cool. The blue trident almost looks like it's part of outer space. Is it the dark blue one that you can get now? It seems lighter than I thought it was.
  20. I thought DYRL came out in '84, meaning the 35th wouldn't be until 2019? (I hope it's not that long before we see those last valks...)
  21. I think it was me that said something to that effect. And it would seem that Bandai is even spacing things out across different Macross series, instead of pushing out all SDFM or DYRL first. As far as finishing what they originally announced, I would agree it's more of a "when" than an "if". Though it wouldn't surprise me if something like the VT-1 ends up being released later than sooner, as it's something that many (myself included) are really interested in. Plus the slower stream of releases makes it easier on the bank account, especially when there are certain ones that you decide to skip. This, too.
