  1. I take it you've never seen one of @sh9000's collection pics? It's a sight to behold. He probably has close to 100 pieces of HM-R in total across all models.
  2. Just ordered the 101 and 102F, for the best combination of parts. I'll probably put one the 102 on a spare CF 1A and the 101 on a spare Hikaru 1J. This may be obvious to some, but I just realized that the numbers of the armor sets are apparently supposed to be the modex numbers on the corresponding valkyrie.
  3. I believe the days of getting the CF for Y7000 are probably over, unfortunately. Though there are occasionally ones sold on Yahoo Auctions for that much (before shipping and proxy fees), seems that Y8000-9000 is the going rate these days.
  4. Cool photo. They definitely look best together. What SDF-1 is that?
  5. Yep, what @jenius said. I don't think there's much cause for concern with used items from Mandarake, based on my somewhat limited experience.
  6. At first I just wanted the HMR hero valks, but the CF just looked so good (and different from others), so I ended up getting one during the original release. And since it's like an army-builder that looks good in multiples, I couldn't stop with just one. Now I have four.
  7. That didn't last long. At that price I'm not surprised.
  8. You know, I never realized that was Roy's 1S on the 35th anniversary box. I don't have the Messer version, so I hadn't gotten a good look at the art. But a TV white VF-1S is definitely near the top of my HMR wish list. I've got the original Hi-Metal standing in currently.
  9. So I recently discovered some of the cool 3P legends scale Transformers out there, like those from DX9 and Generation Toy. Here are some recent acquisitions:
  10. VF-1A TV Max would be very cool, for those that don't have the skills of @sh9000. It would be nice to see more TV releases in general, with the recent focus on DYRL valks. I'd think a non-canon scheme like low-vis would be unlikely for a while. Though Bandai did release the unusual Messer scheme. There are really so many more possible future releases (even without getting into other Macross series) that they could keep the HMR train going for a long time to come.
  11. Scoopda! The N-Ger was teased by Bandai a long time ago, right?
  12. Does anyone recall which shops allow multiple quantities for preorders? I'm thinking about getting 2 of the VT-1 and would like to get them from the same place to help with shipping.
  13. Sounds like maybe you're talking about the Tomahawk? Except they're particle beam cannons not missile launchers. If this is what you're after, it hasn't been released in HMR yet, but is available in other lines.
  14. That is a sweet custom. The Hikaru 1J makes a great blank canvas. Putting the super parts on is an interesting idea.
  15. I would think all variants would be done eventually though it might take a while. I'm betting that @sh9000 will make a VF-1D custom out of a spare VT-1 before Bandai makes one.
  16. I've learned to avoid SM records through my experience in game soundtrack CDs. Another similar label to steer clear of (if you want the original print version) is EverAnime.
  17. Not sure I'd make the tent, but now I'm thinking about getting 2 myself.
  18. I'd guess more like Y7000, judging by their pricing for the recent VE-1 and VF-1A. MSRP is same as Elint Seeker, which NY priced at Y6980.
  19. Agreed that the pace has been pretty slow this year. And I was fully expecting something else, like the Tomahawk. This makes 3 DYRL valks in row, I think. But certainly not complaining about the VT-1!
  20. Oh yeah! Agreed that it's about time, but THANK YOU Bandai! And nice to get confirmation that they're including 2 sets of removable figures (Hikaru/Minmei and Hikaru/Misa). So when is the PO? I'm ready.
  21. Haha! Thanks, I think. The thing holding me back from a 1/48 at this point is the fact that Yamato never made a VF-1S with super packs. To piece together my ideal 1/48, I'd need to get a VF-1S Roy, and also a VF-1J Hikaru for the super parts and the pilot. Of course, I could likely find someone here to take the bare 1J off my hands.
  22. This comment wins MacrossWorld for me today. Welcome, @Shizuka the Cat. I'll echo what's been said before that Yamato's V2 and Bandai's HMR are both excellent. I only have one 1/60 (at the moment anyway) but have gone pretty deep into HMR due to the much more manageable size and somewhat more manageable cost. Instead of settling on one scale, you could also pick your favorite Valkyrie models or paint schemes and get as many different scales as you can of each. For example, I have a TV Super VF-1S in 1/60, 1/100, and 1/250 (non transforming). Thinking about a 1/48, or maybe a Joke Machine...
  23. I don't think you'll find much "help" around here! But seriously though, this is a fun (and addicting) line. And it's always great to find good deals.
