  1. Maybe at this point....
  2. He only disintegrated half of it...
  3. Looks like the Yamato had some engine trouble there! lol
  4. On another note, I can just imagine this scenario: *Bridge of command vessel, Zentraedi Main Fleet; junior officer comes running onto bridge with message* Commander: "What is it, Zerthai?" Zerthai: "Commander, we have intercepted a message coming from the direction of a solar system with a yellow star and at least one habitable planet!" *hands Commander the message* Commander, reading aloud: "'Hello, we'd like to speak with you about your 2004 Toyota Camry's extended warranty.'" *crumples up message angrily* Commander: "BRING US ABOUT AND SET COURSE FOR THAT STAR SYSTEM!!! IT IS OBVIOUSLY A SUPERVISION ARMY TRICK!!!" *Earth and its' solar system are vaporized*
  5. Okay, thanks. On that note: so the Galaxy fleet was destroyed? Poor civilians... but maybe it was a mercy.
  6. Back into the convo (now that it passed the previous part) with a few questions for you: 1) Admittedly, I never served in the military, but my dad did (combat veteran). He told me in our conversations back when he was alive that the Army didn't want soldiers who were "too willing to kill" because they could easily go overboard and end up at the very least killing enemies illegally or killing non-combatants. I assume that UN Spacy/ NUNS would adhere to the same thing, being derived from modern militaries? 2) On another topic: in Macross, I know of two PMC's: SMS and Xaos. Are those the only two, or are there more out there? I don't know if any are mentioned in the games / manga/ other literature, etc. 3) From what I've read in these convo's and seen generally, the Macross Galaxy fleet contingent of General Galaxy seem to be up to their elbows in some "not-so-savory" stuff. Now, what I'm thinking here may be "a bit out there", but given their predilection for leaving whatever morality they have left in the closet in the name of expediency, I'm hoping you'll understand where I'm coming from. So...would it be a far stretch for them to get the idea of either: 1) Harvesting the brains of dead pilots to use in their fighters (as some sort of "wetware" workaround on the AI ban/ restriction?) And/or- 2) Attempting to clone human brains and use them in fighters for the same reason? My reasoning here is that they would only need to address the G-force/ inertia issue for a compartment where the brain would be kept, and it would conceivably be easier to sustain life-support requirements for it (not as much oxygen needed, BDI/ BD control system direct link improving reaction times, possible added hardware to improve functioning/ reaction times). Admittedly, this last one is weird and creeps me out (cannot believe I'm typing it!), so please feel free to disregard it if it's too much. Thanks in advance.
  7. Zentraedi and Meltrandi and Supervision Army...oh my. Seriously though: I'm surprised anyone in the galaxy can get a good night's sleep knowing what lies out there and what can turn up at one's doorstep on any given day....
  8. Join the club... I don't understand either.
  9. UPDATE: there will be no further new pictures of the Batmobile; my wife has stated "she does not like it" (has a problem with the source material "Batman"), so I have packed it up and put it away (along with half my collection, per some of her comments about "the space it takes up"). I suspect she will become upset at my "overreaction", but what is done is done. Let the cards fall where they may; if people cannot accept me as I am, then the hell with it. I'll be around, but not posting much folks. Thanks for watching; my apologies for how this ended. -Robert/ Pengbuzz.
  10. It just needs enemy forces running away while peeing themselves!
  11. Not to mention with the incidents already going on with Macross Galaxy (and the previous Sharon Apple Incident), the New UN Government cannot afford more scandals to keep cropping up. I can imagine interplanetary relations with colony worlds that are concerned (as well as other fleets still in-transit) are tense as it stands. But in any event, I am going to withdraw from this portion of the convo, as I have friends on both sides.
  12. Well, that would explain Fist of the North Star, now wouldn't it? lol Yeah... it's like comparing food from a 5-star Michelin Restaurant to Taco Bell. And Xaos doesn't even have Dorito tacos!
  13. Can't imagine their blood pressure...
  14. Makes me think that their crystalizing is them becoming fold quartz.
  15. Hmmm...you'd think then that there would also be increasing studies to see about the possibility of lengthening their lifespans (unless they tried that already and it came up zilch). Kinda heading the same direction as MII: away from solid ammo and towards beam weapons and bits/squires. (unless they develop a gunpod that fires bits)
  16. I understand ya perfectly! lol Seriously though: it can be a royal pain when you have these echoes of your professors bouncing around in your mind, tearing into your ideas. And yeah: on the one hand, they can be helpful tools that remove unneeded "dross" from the story. But be careful that those critical echoes of your former instructors doesn't become like an out-of-control sledgehammer that smashes all that they would find "offensive". Constructive criticism points out things that may work against a project; destructive criticism merely seeks to destroy the project in favor of anything that does not try to innovate. Remember: these professors may have tenure in college, but how many of them created such spanning works as Star Trek, Star Wars, or Macross? It's easy to dismiss something as "garbage" when it doesn't meet one's personal criteria in the rarefied air of academia. If they had their way, the previous 3 things would not exist!!! Anyways... Actually, I think your descriptions here are very detailed and fit quite well with these data files! This is already a lot of work put into this!
  17. UPDATE: Got more painting and refinements down. Batmobile looks a bit too "black", so I'll see how it looks with a thin pearl layer on top of the sequin black: Installed the mechanical detail ahead of the intakes: I also intensely disliked how crappy the front and back tires came out initially, so I ripped them off the car and reworked the daylights out of them: Hoping to refine them even more and get the bat symbol on the hubs. Stay tuned...
  18. I guess it was either that, or start fueling the mechs with marijuana...
