  1. HLJ has the premium finish 0D as of this post.
  2. I think I'm content with the non PF version, especially in these colors. As spiffy as the VF-4 is, I don't think I love it enough to spring for the fancier version. AJ has been a solid option for me on import figures and it's hard to compete with their shipping times and costs. Think I'll snag a pre-order and be content.
  3. The clear canopy seemed pretty useless to me anyways. What I deal on that piece.
  4. Realllly kicking myself that I never went in on this mold, especially this version. This might be the nicest looking Valk any company has ever done.
  5. I've only ever seen it as a thing an TFW2005. I've been on a lot of different forums over the years, for a wide array of stuff, and it was completely alien to me until that one.
  6. Those supers look fantastic. I really hope I can snag a set once they're out in the wild. All the tampo that Bandai does really shines on pieces like this, it reminds me of old model kit boxart, or something like that.
  7. Not sure if this is a newbie question, but it's also not worth its own thread. Does anyone know of a good stand in for some hands for the old Yamato 1/48 Valks? I know there was someone on here wayyyyy back that did castings of DYRL hands, which would be an ideal kind of thing. I haven't been able to find anything on Shapeways and I've looked through option parts for model kits too without much luck. Similarly, I know actual side covers exist and I saw that someone was working on getting them on Shapeways, but it looks like that didn't materialize. I could be just missing where they wound up.
  8. Not to share too many of the same type of pictures, but I had to give this particular Valk a little love. For whatever reason, it has been tucked away in storage rather than out with the other Plus Valks. I'm on the process of setting up a new display, so it should get a proper home. A quick bonus with my 11B which also got some TLC this evening.
  9. This sounds right. I think we must have had to go through some steps on the new forums. I remember the upgrade and I seem to remember a loss of post count, even though this version of this account says 05.
  10. Dusted off and transformed my 1/48 Roy. Still going strong and infinitely swooshable. Wish I had some dry transfers or something to add the kites to the nose and some fixed pose hands to snaz it up. It may not be as advanced as the V2 1/60 or the new DX stuff, but this piece and this line are pretty damn special still
  11. Mannnnn, I don't collect diecast jets and I have basically nothing in the scale of these, but that Macross Zero F-14 is super tempting.
  12. Haha, I mean crap in the nicest way possible =P. Bundled or not, you guys still have a good price on 01 and you're helping folks get items that might have been import only just a few years ago.
  13. The original versions of the MB EVA units were basically in line with other retailers. These 2020 versions though, BBTS is doing a nearly 200 dollar markup before taxes and all that. It's kind of insane, especially when you can just cut them out of the middle and get it right from the source. Pre-orders are still open on the 02, so I would classify this as not at all hard to get. Even the repaint of 01, with some crap bundled with it, can be bought today off Bluefin's site and it saves you like 100-120 dollars.
  14. Cheers all, I'll take the wait and see approach.
  15. For real lol. I mean, it's Roy, there's basically nothing in all of Macross that forces my wallet open like something related to Roy. The PO was dumb luck too. I happened to just check a thread minutes after he went back up on HLJ. I'm a little skeptical, but still reasonably sure they'll come through. Perfect, thanks. So a markup, but not one so egregious that it completely rules out the option.
  16. So, I've been away from the forum and from Macross collecting for a while now, but I managed to luck out on a Roy. Being away means I was largely oblivious to the TV Super set until after I had secured a pre-order for the 1S. It looks like NY is pretty much the only game in town left and I'm mostly curious what the 11k yen price looks like compared to what it actually retails for. I know NY is kind of a mixed bag, but I might roll the dice for the supers.
  17. For what it's worth, the Hasbro Pulse page says 5 per transaction. Presumably BBTS or any other retailer doing this could just place orders in batches of 5 as they come in.
  18. Got mine yesterday, but didn't have a chance to open it up and take a look. This is a pretty exciting release for me, I've always liked the 1J but for one reason or another never bought one. I still have my old 1/48 Roy 1S so at least this will have some company on the shelf.
  19. Well I doubt anyone remembers my post about the SDCC Megazord and how mine was missing ratchets in one of the shoulders. But, after nearly 5 months, I got my replacement Mammoth yesterday. The process was slow, but they totally came through for me. Now everything is nice and clicky and secure. Glad they were able to make this happen as the defect, while not the end of the world, did kind of rain on my parade a little. The piece really is quite nice when combined with the Dragonzord, which is likely how it'll be displayed most of the time.
  20. The only reason I said no Sazabi is because it's probably on my list to buy, along with Nu to display together. Appreciate the suggestions everyone! Gives me some things to take a look at. The Gelgoog 2.0 looks like a neat kit as well, so I'll probably going to look into one of those as well. The Dom is one of my favorites, but it looks like it hasn't gotten a 2.0 MG yet.
  21. I'm having the itch to get back into building Gunpla again. I'd say it's probably been a good 8 or so years since I actually built one. I kind of want to build something from Zeon as those designs have really grown on me over the years. The newer MG Sazabi seems like a potential option, but I really dig some of the Rick-Dom, Rick-Dias and Gelgoog kits. I know at least some of these are getting pretty dated at this point. Anyone have some suggestions for fun/well engineered kits from the older shows that aren't Sazabi? MG is preferable.
  22. I still need to get Xabungle and Brockary for my display, but I'm really excited their doing more from that series. I don't think I ever saw this show as a kid, but I've had the name of it in my head as long as I can remember. Scored an SOC Irongear (which is a wonderful release by the way) and started watching the show earlier this year which kind of kicked off the purchase of these Hi-Metal figures.
  23. Was hoping that new PG would be something more interesting, something that makes me want build another kit of that size and complexity again. Oh well, means I can just stash the cash I might of spent for when something more exciting comes along.
