  1. Yep, nailed it. Both the Beagle Stick and Toynami MPC Scott figures have the same problematic cloth. It wasn't fixed until Beagle did the Ray figure (and subsequently Toynami did their MPC Rand). I avoided problems by trying to never ever touch my MPC Scott
  2. It appears to be the first regular release of the PF rather than web exclusive.
  3. The 30th anniversary release came with a clear canopy and option parts. The first release is rainbow canopy and no option parts.
  4. As to the surprising nature, I'm guessing they don't want to steal the spotlight away from their SV-51 at winter WF.
  5. So is this a regular release PF then?
  6. An update on this. When I view the video off the SD card and then transfer it to my computer, the write speeds are crazy fast, like 1GB/s. If I just cold grab a file from the SD and bring it over, it's 30MB/s. Curious.
  7. Then maybe Hikaru 1A before HIkaru 1S?
  8. It would make sense though, if I were Bandai, I don't see why I'd lower the price. I think they could easily just say "that was a freebie with the first release" and keep the price static or maybe drop the price only like 500¥. Seeing as it sold like gangbusters, not much pressure to drop the price. Here's how I would do it: Release Focker VF-1S next Release Hikaru VF-1S after Release super/strike parts (TWE) Announce VF-1J Hikaru reissue concurrent with announcement of GBP accessory Release VF-1J Hikaru Release GBP (TWE) Then they'd release a VF-1A Hikaru and who knows where it would go from there. It's possilbe the VF-1A Hikaru would also go before the super/strike TWE release.
  9. The big difference is the 'eye' marking on the fast packs. That was a sticker before. I bought one used with that sticker attached and it's nice.
  10. While I didn't need a PF VE-1, I'll be happy to grab one. What's more exciting for me is just the knowledge that Arcadia isn't going to throw in the VF-1 towel because Bandai made their big splash. Maybe there's hope for a VT-1 later that year. The original one sold like a turd but I think that was because word quickly got out that Yamato had messed up the shoulders again.
  11. Man, it looks like mine just shipped today

    Macross figures

It was in stock at some point?
  13. I'm not a model guy but I'm pretty sure the answer is 'no.' I have seen WF kits that mate with widely available Legioss models though.
  14. The Yamato V2 can have the arms swing out without detaching the hip intakes, it's just much easier to get them out of the way, and seemed mandatory after the first few releases had breaking shoulder parts.

    Macross figures

Bummer, I totally would have ordered one and reviewed it.
  16. I think the MPC is still the high water mark for looks in all modes ignoring all the build quality and fit issues. A 1/32 MPC with high end materials and manufacturing and a couple more tricks to take advantage of the scale would be amazing.
  17. Okay, Evolution Toy Iota Legioss review is up! Check it out:
  18. Awesome, I always thought that was the case so it's nice to have some proof. I could certainly imagine why we haven't seen a toy manufacturer attempt to store the gear there... talk about a tight fit and an odd angle. Thank you Sketchley!
  19. Can anyone translate what is said in the lower left-hand section of this panel? I'm hoping it explains what the fourth would-be missile bay was meant for.
  20. One of the things that bums me out about the ET Legioss and just about every other Legioss out there is that no one has really put any thought into the sensor array since Gakken did it. At 1/32 scale, using modern methods, ET was in a prime position to do something a lot closer to the line art. The big problem I have is that door that swings open and sits on one side of the head. It's not supposed to be their in Soldier mode. Also, the array is supposed to basically clip to the back of the intake, not sit right beside the head making it so the head can't turn to one side. So, while I was buying stuff at Safeway I pondered how it should work and this is what i came up with: It's a first draft so I'm sure there's lots of room for improvement but all said, I don't think it's terribly complicated for a decently sized toy. The array sits on a rod connected to the back of the intake (my drawing shows it a bit too far forward, it should be right at the edge). The array is connected to a housing and that housing is connected to the rod. To access the array, the door above it would be pulled open toward the cockpit (so it sits on round pegs and you would do this by putting your finger in at the tail edge of the intakes). The array is then turned so it's pointing up, then toward the back of the craft and the rod it sits on is then rotated so it points back toward the front of the craft. Some sort of notches would be used to fit the array securely against the back of the intake. Two panels within the cavity would then be recessed allowing the the door to be slid down into the now vacant cavity. How do you keep the door from opening when in fighter mode holding the toy upside down? A small clip in the bottom of the door could easily connect to the inner edge of the rod that holds the array and then to a peg at the bottom of the cavity. What do you guys think? Seem plausible enough? I imagine the support panels could have open areas underneath them, they can be pretty big open areas since they're inside the toy, that would allow you to then reach in and pull them back out when you're ready to go back to fighter mode.
  21. I'm working on my review of the green ET... There are lots of other toys that are better ways to spend your money.
  22. Fortunately, he's not wearing a name tag so it shouldn't be an issue.
  23. HG gets to market things using the Macross terms, there's no issue, so long as they only do it internationally.
  24. Shameless plug time, if anyone is looking at this and thinking "I'd be better off just owning the Matchbox or Playmates toy", well, you can! I have one for sale: https://www.ebay.com/itm/Playmates-Matchbox-Exosquad-Robotech-Hover-Tank/233093623250?hash=item3645766dd2:g:xKkAAOSwNepcPDcf:rk:1:pf:1 Still pretty cheap. All proceeds go to fund more purchases for anymoon!
