Instead of making masterpiece toys or anything else, Toynami should have just created updated version of the old Matchbox toys including the action figures. They should have kept them cheap and just tried to make them a little more attractive with a bit better articulation. KitzConcept had already proven to have a better knack for making toys for adults.

Disney used Lucas' treatment for exiled Luke so there's a waterfall of blame if you don't like fallen heroes. They should make Picard an angry drunk that dreamed up TNG.. like those episodes of DS9.

The ones on the comic books usually look pretty good.

Don't forget the Toynami figures are 4" tall, you'll never look at them as close as those pictures. I think Lisa actually looks good. Ben is 100% someone else. The rest look like cosplay.

That would probably just stop Bandai from doing it. They're wrestling about whether there is enough sales volume without competition.

I think the Legioss plan was "one month after the VR-041H" so we're looking at September now at the earliest for that, and that's separate its own delays. I wouldn't be surprised if the Legioss ends up a December release.

The HMR Glaug was a shelf warmer. The Regult sold alright, it was available at retail for a bit after release and became a hot item later.

I have an original Hi-Metal VF-1J max where you can just pull the foot right out of the leg because someone yanked it too hard at one point. It's not the same thing as rocking the foot back and forth mind you, but it makes me very weary of really going at the foot to try to fix it. I think disassembly, if at all possible, is a much better route.

You guys know Star Wars has lots of implausible and sometimes stupid elements right? The transition from Rogue One to ANH is very far down on the tough to swallow scale. It smacks of "When I used to watch ANH, I imagined it being different than Rogue One told me it was, and I don't like that." Yeah, they were caught red handed and said "It wasn't me", Shaggy would be proud.

I've had no issues with amazon.jp yet BUT you do have to watch and see if you're buying from Amazon or a third party seller THROUGH Amazon. Packaging results have been mixed for other board members but that might also be a function of who the actual seller was.
