No way! That's just crazy...

Let me know if it comes off easily. I'm not so hot on that decal either, but I do love the shark mouth. I really hate "stickers" that span over panel lines - it really makes it toy-like.

I know, cheap shot... I'll be spending $90 to get a 1/72 Tomcat... crazy!

Of course I'd like to see a VF-2SS and the VF-5000 from Arcadia or Bandai.

Bandai to release Star Wars Model kits
wm cheng replied to Wiz13688's topic in Anime or Science Fiction
Ah thanks. Didn't catch that the first time I looked at it, but you're right. Hmm, quite tempting... however I did spend a lot of time modifying my old AMT kit 15yrs ago, I don't know if I want to build another again, this time probably more accurate than all the effort I had to spend last time around- 188 replies

So just to confirm, it comes with both stickers AND waterslide decals? I only see the stickers in all the different photos of the insides I've seen.- 188 replies

Nice! and its even stickered up too - even better. I just hate seeing all the naked valks out there. -
YES!!!! (x1000000)

I love it!!! I love the new stormtrooper helmets too. I could do without the X-Wing fighter pilot yelling woohoo! Reminds me too much of Jake Loyd during the pod racers

I so love this design! I so want it to be sleek... but the aircraft mode definitely is "clunky" and the joints seem very old school too. Not very impressed with their interpretation so far. Any info on this toy company? The Battroid mode is better. I would love Arcadia or Bandai to have a crack at this - but does this mean Evolution Toys has the rights for this for now?

I find that if its orange peely its usually too low of a pressure with too thick of a paint mixture. It should be about the consistency of milk at around 15-18psi (for my Tamiya Acrylics). If its bumpy like a sandpapery texture, its too high of a air pressure and the paint it drying before it hits your model. If paint collects at the nozzle, its usually a bent needle or that its not seated within the nozzle evenly (inside nozzle opening could have a nick or bent as well). Good luck!

Thanks Chris!!! Just pre-ordered all 3 issues... I've been waiting for a new tooled F-14 for ages. I've still got 3 Hasegawas on my pile with just about every Aires/Eduard resin/photo-etched sets available waiting... it's my favourite aircraft. I never knew anything about this, can't wait to see the reviews when it comes out.

YES!!! I'd be all over that, especially if you also include a Minmay with her helmet off in her hands (seated in the back of the VT-1)

If you find something that will work, let me know!

I was hoping to find some clear vinyl glass sweeps (like the kind they use in glass shower stall installations, but I have yet to find one that fits such a thin glass as our Detolfs) https://www.google.com/search?q=glass+vinyl+sweep&tbm=isch&tbo=u&source=univ&sa=X&ei=IZwYVZ6uBpKayATBs4HwBQ&ved=0CCMQsAQ&biw=1440&bih=668

I WOULD KILL TO GET ON THIS PRODUCTION!!! But it may be a living hell if that actually comes true. I was getting the inside scoop on the live action Akira and seeing the artwork and they've got the absolute worst people working on it - they are not anime fans at all, in fact most of them didn't even want to see the original Japanimation because they wanted to do their own take on it and not be influenced by previous work (WTF?!) In fact, "they" (producers) fired Ruairi Robinson (original team) because his team was trying to respect the original material too much (he's the one that did this: - amazing mech designs, certainly not more of that SoCAL School of Hollywood Ironman mech design)I can see this happening here with Robotech too - these people/producers just don't understand that the designs are integral to the story of Macross. They feel we are a niche audience (existing fan base) and will try to pitch this to as wide of an audience as possible. Sometimes its just so infuriating to see who gets picked for these jobs - it makes no sense whatsoever!

I finally got my e92 M3 this year, but I only got there because I only collect one of everything Your little stack is the cost of my Paint Protection Film this summer!!! Good to see you also have good tastes in cars too. I would love to see your finished display once its re-organized too.

Is that a toy, model or resin? Does it transform?

It's just not the dark colour, its that Arcadia has ridiculously shallow and fine panel lines that won't hold any wash at all! It started with some of the V2 1/60 VT-1 and just got worst from there on. The YF-19 panel lines are so inconsistent and fine even across the same panel that you need a Mechanical Pencil to draw on them - the washes just don't work well on the newer Arcadia stuff.
