  1. I know what you mean. I got mine back in 2003 and I've only created the arms. I've started the legs, but I still have problems finding the time to complete the model kit. I've also taken a look at the G-System conversion kit for the Zeta. It's pretty badass, but it's standing pose look awkward.
  2. Hello Promethuems5! Excellent collection! When you find the time, do you mind please taking a size comparison photo of Skylynx in 4-leg mode next to a 1/60 valkyrie? Thank you. I was 10 years old when Skylynx came out but I'm from a poor fam...but now I see it at an affordable $65 USD tag. I'm thinking about getting it. - Jason
  3. 12" Female Action Figures and Carne Asada Burritos, no guac nor sour creme, just the pico and meat! The first can be expensive when kit bashing and the latter, totally in ruins my cholesterol and blood pressure level...but it's damn good!
  4. hah hah hah...i see what the fool sees on the sdf-1. i think his friend's never it transform; he's got no idea of the sdf-1. oh well, pretty funny. so les say i purchase through HLJ...do you guys think shipping will be around $100 USD for this item via SAL? man, imagine EMS to USA, California.
  5. Sup ya'll! So it's a guess that this thing is about $500? So far size, color and shape details are in the wish list. Would you all agree with me that for $500, there better be a lot of f**king gimmicks on this thing. At least LED lights, lights in the city inside it to be seen through removable panels. LED lights on the main canons, tip of canons...and lights in the boosters! If possible how about some grumbling sounds of it taking off? LED flashing? The stand better be multi-directional instead of one fixed position. For $500+ U.S. dollars! There better be a lot of gimmicks! AND! AND! The packaging better be good. Yamato, listen up, if you're selling this thing for more than $500, this collector's item better come in a really nice packaging. None of the cheezy photochop styled-filters with beveled gold text and multi colored-paneled, flimsy boxes with shinny gloss aqueous coating on 80 lb stock...WTF! And if Yamato is gonna go cheap, corrugated boxes laminated with matte stock and some foiling, if not foiling, some spot varnishing. As I've mentioned before, the MP-01 and MP-04 boxes are really nice for something so simple...they're hefty, they feel solid, they look great, and they feel like they're worth the $285 USD. Forget the see through-five panel boxes. No one displays their boxes anyway with the flap open, they're too big! Take the Hasbro 1/6 SDCC Baroness packaging as an example, very nice too (minus the cheap-a$$ figure). Lastly, the packaging does not need to be the size of a dog house. I'm not sure why so much plastic and huge box size are used on the 1/48 valkyries. The 1/48 can fit inside the 1/60 boxes...heck, you can even make the boxes small and lesses the plastic trays. That's all I'm saying, sh*t...blood boiling. Imma finish this vodka and cranberry juice before going to bed. For $500+ USD, this s**t better the ultimate masterpiece. I wanna walk in my room, living room or kitchen, or where ever this is posed, and say, "h*ly ***k, now that's one bad a$$ action figure." I want my friends to walk in my house and see this thing like some boxer knocked out a fool, friends with their knuckles next to their mouths jumping up and down yelling, "ooooooh, oooooooh, oooooooh"....Like their car just got pimped by Xzibit. I've told my wife about this figure once the thread started. So far she's good with it, but that was months ago...we'll see how she feels spring or summer of 2010. Peace!
  6. Yeah, got mine on ebay for $265 with panel lines and customs stickers. But if you guys have any low vis square missle pods to spare, let me know. I've posted one in the wanted ads, but got no response. I'm thinking about posting here to trade one of my clear packs for 2 missle pods...that should be a good deal right? Sorry to post this last question on your thread...just wanted to get opinions too since this is low vis 1 topic.
  7. Hi Excillon, For the parts, of course the base body is the perfect grade RX-78-2, and I purchased weapons parts 1 & 2. I was able to score on eBay back in 1999 a B-Club 1/60 FA-78-1 conversion kit; I think it was based on the plastic version created by Bandai. www.hobbyfan.com used to sell it and with a bunch of other conversion kits. I also got the Bandai 1/60 FA-78-1 model kit for specific parts and the twin-barrel canons. Now it's just a matter of me putting them together. I'm in the hunt of specific parts for connecting the twin canons on the arms and back pack. I hope this helps. The Bandai model kit... This is how the FA-78-1 is suppose to look like...the FIX is the best rendition so far.
  8. Thanks for asking Excillon! Heh heh, it's my PG RX-78-2 that I started back in 1999. LOL. I just haven't found time to work on it. It's been converted to the (Full Armor) FA-78-1...but tweaked a bit. See photo below. The two shoulder back canons were not installed when the photo was taken. But soon...I hope to get back on it, paint and weather etc. So it's equipped with twin dual-barrel beam canons on each arm, two shoulder shell-canons on the back, two bazzokas and the beam rilfe & beam sabre.
  9. Done and done, preordered that bad boy to match my 1/60 VF-25S full armor, and then my 1/60 PG full armor RX-78 to match the 1/60 stealth valk VF-1S. Yea-yeaaah!
  10. I know, pretty cool...I was actually mixing VF-1S, VF-0S, and SV-51 missles. But live firing ammo next to reaction bombs...crazy setup. I like the low viz paint job too.
  11. David, How did he/she get the cobra logo on her chest/vest? It looks cool and nice.
  12. Is "dangercorpse" one of you guys or gals on MW? He's got a great looking Baroness using the Baronless Outfit. the photostream: http://www.flickr.com/photos/dedguy/281638...in/photostream/
  13. Hi Shin, Upon opening up the Otaku 1.2 female figure, you'll notice a satin finish on the figure rathern than the PVC feel. It's somewhat translucent giving that "porcelain" look, very smooth; I think they did this to simulate skin/flesh tone. I would assume the same treatment with the male figure. Replacement chest pieces would be nice too...but it's lacking. The EVO & EVA will have them. The Otaku 1.2 female boobs are huge! Even my wife said, "gosh damn, those are huge!"....double Ds! One thing that I do not like is that there are no articulation on the rib cage area. You may discover this on the Shirokage figure. The Otake 1.2 female bodies are the same. But you can purchase an extra body, S1 for the female and Omega for the male...these basic, base bodies will have articulation on the torso and rib cage area. I noticed the weight of the Otaku 1.2 figure is heavier than the normal PVC figures. Also, A MUST!...read the instruction regarding exchanging wrist/hands and feet/ankle joints. I was too excited to check it out and ended up breaking the pivot joint. Triad bodies require you to heat them up with a heat gun or hair dyer to soften the plastic, then you can easily pull off the feet or hands....and place the new accessory. Their claim is that once the plastic cools, it will return to it's more solidified state so that the joint never becomes loose and will stay tight for a long time. If you have extra cash, pre-order the EVO Caucasian body to replace the Shirokage body. You'll have plenty more articulation. I hope this helps.
  14. Hi ShadowerV2, I got the pistols from the Triad Toys also. They look cheesy on their website, but they're actually pretty cool. http://www.triadestore.com/enforcer-pistol-p-1953.html
  15. Hi David, I used the Triad Toy's Catsuit 1.0 Female outfit. I could not find anymore available Barenless suits; they're sold out everywhere. The Triad Toy's Barenless outfit I do have is on the 1/6 Midori Washio Cy Girl figure (i didn't like the baggy look). I wanted to transfer the outfit to the Baroness, but decided that the Catsuit's laced-up boots gave more of that "baroness" feel. Heh. Here's the Catsuit 1.0 outfit: http://www.triadestore.com/catsuit-female-p-1795.html Ref photo:
  16. Hi Gang, I am looking for two 1/48 Low Vis missile pods. It is the one with the blue-ish/light gray tips. Let me know if you guys have 2 to spare at a decent price. I've attached a reference photo. Please let me know!
  17. I definitely captured the Baroness... ...after standing for 3 hours in the Hasbro line at the Comic Con! I should have waited much after the 2009 SDCC to read reviews online before getting my Baroness figure. $34 at the Hasbro booth. I'd say the only thing worthy is the packaging. I was so disappointed and pissed-off, I decided to make my own. Let me know what you think, definitely not looking like Sienna Miller, but I think closer to what I think should be the baroness. The figure is with a Triad 12" Otaku 1.2 Brunette. The Hasbro Baroness came with an M4...but I think she used a different weapon during the Hummer chase scene. The leather coat was still a bit too thick. Unfortunately the Triad figure doesn't have poseable torsos...waiting for the EVA version. The photos shows the Hasbro figure on the left, and my own version on the right.
  18. For some of you 1/60 VF-25S owners, when you guys took out the Ozma's Messiah from the styrofoam and extended the wing...were they a little bent upwards when fully extended? When I took mine out yesterday, it looks like the VF-25S is doing a hard G turn.
  19. Got mine yesterday from BBTS, big ass box and bigger ass shipping box with lots of proection for collector grade. Damn this is prestine. My coworkers are urging me to open it. All sides of the box is clean as it can be, no dents, dings or creases. Thank to all those who posted regarding this figure. The first time I saw this armor on the anime, I said to myself, " **ly s**t, they're gonna make that armor?" ... and Bandai did. I wanna take photos of this bad boy ... it's always a celebration for me opening Macross toys, like a little boy with his little birthday present!
  20. Nice pics, Derex. I just got mine today too via ebay $170 shipped. I haven't seen the Beagle head sculpt. So if possible, may you guys please post a photo of the Beagle Rand head sculpt? From what I've seen online so far, Beagle has the more mean and serious face expressions on these figures. Toynami on the other hand has their version include nice and happy faces. Is there a 1/10 Lancer by Toynami coming out? Masterpiece Lancer Cyclone by Toynami ONLY $199.95 from this link: http://www.digital-toys.com/robotech3.html Is this for real?
  21. Nice one Grand Admiral...damn too bad I sold my Optimus and Megs. But I couldn't help it ...
  22. I sold my Woodland GBP armor and LVII as a set...only reference I have is the urban camo. What are we suppose to look for on the sticker sheet? What is Number 7 and Number 117? Are those the designated sticker number? On the 1/48 GBP Urban camo sticker sheet, sticker number seven is the graphic "4" ... and I don't see number 117. The sticker number only goes up to 100. Is this a trick question and I fell for it? Ok, where's the candid camera!
  23. Hey Guys! I pre-ordered this armored VF-25. Just for confirmation, are the bulk of the armor colored blue or more to dark blue gray? I was crossing my fingers that it would look exactly like the 3D illustrations where it's more dark gray. I think the armor would look better if they were the color of the feet. Or am I just on crazy pills? Thanks for the photos, but are those photos tweaked? Or at least color corrected?
