Mike if the casting on this is as good as your X-wing i will be very pleased. I would like to add that this X went together smoothly. I had NO warp in my fuselage sections. 1 Question though. What kind of Mold Release Agent do you use? i have used dawn, formula 409 and even cillit BANG and the stuff wont come off. The paint keeps lifting off the resin. any help would be great

Heres the real question. Should i save the booster and extra ammunition from my VF-0 booster kit and use it on this instead? Maybe i can use magnets and make them all interchangeable.

Wow luke you have made some excellent progress on the new airframe. Looks beautiful. The missile pod/fuel tanks help round out the character of the aircraft too. Imm glad things are going well for this one.

SSM wouldnt kep them forever, they would return them once you asked for them back. Plus alot of our family from here is on that site too.

you should let the SSM store continue to hold on to them and produce kits. I think they pay a certain amount to the master owner per kit made or sold, something like that. Id hate to see you lose something you worked so hard towards getting.

It doesnt seem like post apocalyptic, more like a heavily war torn middle eastern country 15 to 25 years from now. all the buildings are heavily stylized with common middle eastern design. I like the baby Metal Gear Rex's runig around. Makes me wonder if the full sized Rex will reappear, it never was totally destroyed.

A kit is in the future, When exactly i cant say. I wont be able to really begin making refined masters until late january/early february. Ill be gone for 4 months very soon so if it seems like im not around dont worry im not dead. I have asked Jadefalconguard to be a POC incase anyone needs to contact me about something.

Looks like making the canards work was he best thing. I know in anime some details are thrown in for the cool factor but in this case they make practical sense. I hope i can see the vid before i leave.

Actually LTSO its a 100% scratchbuild. No kit for this has ever been made in any medium.

I live about 70 miles north of london but its about a 3 hour car trip with how traffic gets at the M11 near heathrow. If you get the time head to the bovington tank museum they have the only running Tiger 1 tank in the world there. Check out the victory in pourtsmouth too. there is alot to do around there and the southern end of the island. Id come meet you but im in the middile of prepping for a deployment

I noticed on the other site that you said the VT was the only thing keeping this model flyable. Do you think that the controlability will drastically improve now that the canards are in use. It seems like it will since now you will have a moveable control surface near the nose where its needed most considering the pitch problem you had before. It seems like making those moveable was the lynchpin to solving most if not all of your pitch worries. I hope your test flight goes well tomorrow. Fingers crossed. BTW have you considered submiting an article to R/C Flyer magazines. I was talking to a coworker who also flies R/C and he has never seen anything like what you are accomplishing. What you are doing would be groundbreaking to alot of people.

Magnesium,titanium, chrome. and aluminum are the most common. Some people post shade their exauhst on other aircraft with light layers of clear blue,smoke and amber to give the exauhst that heat colored look.
