No stress or tension on any parts. Before I conclude all the mods on this VF-1D to be lineart and anime(magic) correct. I still need to correct the floopy head syndrome and head would hang down so low. I got the head at the stage where it stays nice and tucked cleanly into the fuselage , and still looks nice in battroid mode, it still loose as ever. I'm sure there is a better way to keep it from being so loose. More to come.

Well, if they were to produce the Beta (which they arent') the part(s) used to combine the two will be produced alongside with it. Toynami thinks there trully is not enough demand for the mecha. So they just can't justify it to themselves to produce it.

There are several parts that need modification. - Heatshield, pegs have to be cut and brought forward towards the nosecone. - The sliding rails have to be extended and the chestplate will also have to be used as part of the rail system. - Backplate, groves are cut in so the heatshiel can slide into the backplate without disturbiing the swingbar and shoulder plates, when in fighter mode. Also this prevents the heatshield from jamming up anyting during transformation. - Small polygon cover of the backplate must be cleared to allow the heatshield to reside in the new backplate groves. This also allow for a perfectly flush fit between all parts in fighter mode. Now everone, it's time to bug Graham. We know it can be done, the new question is "When will Yamato do it?" ***These are just a few of the major changes, that NEED to be done. There a few others minor alterations to make it work.

Without further adieu, I present the once thought to be impossible... VF-1D with sliding heatshield.

I might have to prove you wrong....later. 421157 how much later? 421208 Will this VF-1D, with the head properly tucked into the fuselage, do? Where the heatshield? It's actually inside the VF-1D, just as it should be. I would like to give credit where credit is due. Thanks, Cap'n (for the sculpt) and Bigkid24 (for the kit he sold me). ***Oh yeah, I almost forgot. I will add more pics later today. Also if you look at the head lasers, they are now lineart correct.

My gawd, that is f***ing beautiful!!!

Yeah, that Bandai head mold was a POS .... 421101 The head wasn't that bad. I only think that it's because people wanted the DYRL sculpt when Bandai release these with the hybrid TV/DYRL heads. I don't care what anyone says, I still love my chunky monkeys.

It's a TV/DYRL bastard just like the VF-1A CF. For a TV head, check out the pics test forum to see what NMB4M is working on - sweetness... 420398 Oh stop, you're making me blush. This is what the TV head looks like. I have a few more details to work out and it will be complete.

Searching For A Mecha
nightmareB4macross replied to Goth Kitty 22's topic in Anime or Science Fiction
Got any more info. I'm sure I can find it for you. -
Woah, woah, there little buddy. Since you're calling it quits and it's mostly due to nostalgic prices. How about you sell me all you 1/48 Yammies for 3-6 bucks each. At least well both be happy.

Dude, chill. I know it's been a while, but it's going to be okay.

I'm all about MACORSS.

Okay, fine, the -0A is supposed to be canon, although many would agree the colors are off. Ignoring canon/non-canon deal , which would you get? Is the stealth really the bee's knees in person? 419968 The colors are off, only on the anime. But the colors Yamato is using are dead on.
-
From the choices you have selected, only the VF-1J Stealth is non-canon. The VF-OA next on Yamato's MZero list is very much canon. See the VF-0A thread for details. So I guess you only choice would be the Stealth.

Gotta have them all!!! I just hope there will be a reissue of the 1/48 Js. And hopefully after Yamato is done with all the VF-1 madness. Destroids could be on their way. Or maybe a few battlepod variants.

1/1 Scale Vf (my Greatest Masterpiece Yet...)
nightmareB4macross replied to wm cheng's topic in The Workshop!
Awesome, man!! Congratulations to you and your wife!!! What's the name of the project??? Sorry to ask but is it a polycap or rod joint kit? Dude you are going to have a blast with your WIP. Caution, Exo might want a recast. -
Sorry to tell you, but a complete disassembly is required in order to clear coat/seal all the panel lined surfaces. Without doing so there would be parts you might miss. Enjoy! Don't forget to post pics when your done.

He he he, good eye. Another thing that I hope Yamato decides to address is the AngelBirds stenciling on the side of legs. It would suck, if they decided not to tampo print that on.
-
Cube, that's a pretty cool custom. All he needs now is his axe. SSSSWWWWWWEEEEEEEEET CUSTOM!!!!!!
-
Sad to say, the answer is NO. From what I understand. There is not enough demand to produce this toy. And if it were ever produced, the SRP would not be less than 250.00 for a Tred (static) fighter.

1/55 Valk Custom - Thigh Swivel Mod Update
nightmareB4macross replied to Skull-1's topic in The Workshop!
That's an awesome mod. I wonder how come none of the previous 1/55 masters never thought of this?? -
So this could mean two things... 1. All those who paid through the nose for a Max DYRL, must be pissed off to hear this news. 2. Could Kakizake be the next DYRL valk???? Oh god (Yamato), I hope the answer is YES!!!
