NICE Job! Looks awesome!

GROOVY! Looks like fun! I’ll be checking this out. This would’ve been a dream come true in the late 80’s.. took them long enough..!

I’d get one for the sake of options and having an upgrade from the originals.

Valk controls and limitations/range of motion.

Interesting point about Gerwalk.. BD’s SV-51 is in gerwalk in both of those instances I mentioned.. -
“In Macross Plus, it was a background mecha that Isamu flew in the first episode before getting replaced by the YF-19. “ Ya but he flew the Sh*t outta that thing! ”In Macross 7, it was a resident cannon fodder unit that mostly existed to get blown up outside of two brief moments of awesome where ace pilots who normally used better fighters used them in a pinch (Kinryu's blaze of glory and Gamlin's one brief outing.)“ We love our cannon fodder, don’t we! ”It's only in the video games and light novels that it got its due. Macross the Ride gave it lots of love, albeit after its service life in New UN Forces hands had basically ended, and Macross 30 finally made it a proper main character mecha for the resident idol singer no less.“ Well , it’s getting some more love again now, and with a few characteristics of the VF-11 not being covered, I’m hoping for more

“Being a sub-mecha, they (publishers, Dr. Chiba, whomever) never got around to fleshing out the VF-11. As technical Macross publications have been thin for the past decade or so, it's not surprising that Dr. Chiba hasn't been contracted by a publisher to flesh out much after Macross Zero.” (sorry the quote function isn’t working on my mobile ..) Im surprised to hear this. I’m even surprised this is considered a “sub mecha”. No it’s not a hero Valkyrie, but it is (like the VF-1) the back bone of the Earth forces for some time and had a good service life. AND, the VF-11 is a much loved design in and outside of Japan, I think.

The only instance that pops out in my mind is from Macross Zero. While Fokker is Chasing his former mentor, the enemy SV-51 engages its head like a pariscope to track Fokker. And shortly after does a crazy behind the back burst from its hand held gun pod into the canyon walls to , hopefully slow down or kill Fokker from the falling boulders. -
Sounds awesome. Will definitely check those out!

I have a built one. Never tried to modify it, as I was more than happy with the armored look. It’s not the greatest Hasegawa Kit, I agree. But a must for my 1/72 collection.

I too never thought Blame would never see anime.. I’m glad they did it. Knights of Sidonia was a shoe in.. I had no doubt THAT would get animated.

Sweet! Would love to see how it compares..I’ve got the old , I believe 9 volume series and the one prequel volume.. I’d been rummaging thru a discount pile @ the local comic shop about 10 years ago and stumbled upon volume 4. After reading it( haha never a ton of dialogue in Blame!) I immediately sought out the rest. And then Biomega came out..hardcore!

Good catch @Seto Kaiba! Ya that’s an obvious correction that needed to be made.. someone was asleep at the wheel there..

I saw it on Netflix late last year. I enjoyed it as an adaptation of the manga. The animation was great. It did Veer off from the manga a bit but was still entertaining. And left us hoping for another installment.. No way it could hope to include all the characters and elements of the manga, but that’s no surprise.

Did someone say dark? Try Biomega or Blame. Also both from knights of Sidonia creator Tsutomu Nihei

Ah so..I recall it in DYRL , just wasn’t clear how the 1/60 toys it differed from it..

It’s funny about the VE. According to the guys from podcast whom attended wonderfest .. There wasn’t much about it that looked PF. Except maybe the markings were tampo’d on instead of apply your own stickers. They didn’t seem too impressed with it. Now the VF-0D was another story. I heard the word gorgeous used .. “And to be honest, the toy incarnation of the Elintseeker is still different on how it was shown in DYRL. “ Do tell..!

I think I’d like that bumper sticker on my truck..
