    Ya. I think it is very possible what we're seeing MAY be prototype ish. By the time we actually get these in our fanatical hands , there may be a SAP option. If not, I won't lose any sleep. And besides there's shapeways & my dremel tool😈

    Dear moderator, please kill this thread! It's amazing how much energy you guys put into something you hate.. Do you really thing Macross is so week that RT actually gives it a bad name? Do you think Rt keeps mister K up @ night?? I think we All agree RT& LLA is disappointing & that HG is stagnant. So what else is new?? How many ways you wanna say it? How many insults you wanna throw out to prove your point? Is nostalgia for RT really destructive? Wow, you give too much credit to RT, especially with the ferocity of your hate. Were all entitled to an opinion (aren't we?) So what if someone wants to check it out(or hey!) so what if someone LIKES it! Is that really a bad thing? I could take or leave RT @ this point in my life, I'm so deep into macross, RT is a memory& novelty, but I really don't see the point in cutting fellow MW members down for their interest. Cheers!

    Well said mate! I agree completely:) Although (in anime)cross dressing freedom fighters who sing was pretty cutting edge for an American audience who were mostly teenagers in 1985:) Haha I found myself wondering if that was the in thing in japan back then:) Of course ,it wasn't the only example of fem boys, back then,I can still see those purple lips on the bad guy dude from G-force! Now it's pretty mainstream all over:)

    Well, aside from the RT live action( if it really happens) this is probably the last gasp for HG.. Although a success at the box office (can Tony& leonardo turn it into something epic??)would undoubtedly fuel more projects.. Problem is the live action won't have any of the same mecha and probably be a contradictory story line. How convoluted & out of touch can this get? I guess I see LLA as cheap filler until their live action can bring in the funds to finally produce a new original work of animation. Or movie sequel.. Of course, I'm not expecting anything & haven't for almost 20 years! Muahaha..

    I'll admit I'm curious about LLA, I'll probably get a cheap copy at some point, though it's not pressing. And yes, I know what I'm getting into. Truth is I'm an Animation fan. It is sad the best HG can do is just a hyped clip run. Undoubtedly they're hoping to snag fresh blood, & ignore the haters. RT was great when I was 14 & watching it everyday after school. But that was then & this is now.

    Haha, yeah. I love MAK, always thought of it as a ww2/future look. Most of the gear& craft would get tore up by something like a vf.. Although the Griffon hover craft & the lunar Diver are way bad a$$ Some of the best painters& builders work on MAK & it shows:)

    Core macross fans mostly dislike Robotec for many reasons. But it's what brought me to macross in the 80's. And the first Robotec war series is a decent interpretation from SDFM. But also your examples are of all Japanese variations.. Robotec is an American variant which is a rather different comparison. In essence , there is nothing wrong with RT. IMO :-) This should be moved to the Robotec thread, the one that everyone knows it's ok that it's not macross & the hatrers can chill:)

    Somehow, I knew you meant frontier:) Same answer.. My question is why the disappearing act? Again& again! Megaroad disappears, shin& Serra disappear & of course Alto had to go & disappear!( in the movie) Which begs for a follow up. Will we be left handling on Alto's surprise vacation? What a way to avoid telling the girls he's just gay. Haha just kidding! But really, is that it for Frontier?? F7 doesn't count!

    What's so great about Macross the 1st is the hard core, old school fans WILL gobble it up& dissect it. This is a good thing, to be critical of such a sacred work! The Majority of Response is positive and eager for more. Mikimoto is doing a good job! And the process has evolved in some ways..it has a freshness to it While retaining a strong sense of the original series. I should say,of course, newer fans will enjoy as well this newest re telling:)
