  1. Saw it again last night. Big screen experience is always fun. I picked up on a lot more dialogue that slipped by me the first time. Like the dyad thing mentioned by Kylo and later Palpatine. And Poe's mention of " our parents " in the rebellion. Hence the comics that now portray his parents. Speaking of which, there really are many holes. There's gonna be novels and comics all over this for years to come.

    Bandai DX VF-31

I think I must've paid like $45 fior my VT-1 at the swap meet in LA back in the 80's..
  3. Mhhm.. your marklars are wise..
  4. Yep. Night and day. I much prefer the DYRL version myself.
  5. Lol. Is that praiseworthy enough?
  6. What we know for sure.. Bandai WILL produce more valks As far as the topic on hand, Arcadia, i think is awesome. They know way more than we do about Yamato's failings. (There ain't no market flooding going on here) In the beginning, Arcadia got my money, and if i was still collecting 1/60's , I'd be selling body parts( someone else's ) to own everything they've done. I've sold all of my Arcadia goodies now .Fortunately, i have most of what i want from Yamato already and I'm perfectly happy with that!
  7. Loving Tenjin's box art. The patch would look great on my motorcycle jacket, lol. I really like the paint scheme on this one too.
  8. It looks awesome, but ya, I just don't spend that kind of dough on toys anymore. And , somehow my Macross collection is still growing..

As far as old Macross illustration poses (and Takani san) .. Here's a few .. He did all( i believe) of the Macross Imai box art , amongst many other works. If there was a full book of all his works, ( he's been at it since the 50's!!) it would be a massive and awesome coffee table book! In Tenjin's second sortie book. There's an interview with Tenjin interviewing Takani.
  10. Ya...theses guys have definitely been smoking too much of the flower of life..

Dude! Your work is awesome! I'll be lurking there for a while
  13. I'd say the later.
  14. Oh yes, that is it. Thanks. For its time, it was a great toy. This new Sentinel looks sweet. Looking forward to seeing more on it.
  15. The toy looks awesome. I hope those hinges are sturdy too. No one's gonna really know until they fork out the dough and handle it. I had the green Legios from the 80's (Aoshima?) it was pretty burly. Especially with my clumsy kid hands it could take a beating .
  16. That is very cool.
  17. Saw this a few weeks ago. I loved it. The ending was an awesome unwind from all the build up throughout the movie. I love how Tarantino has taken it upon himself to rewrite history here, as he did with Inglorious Bastards.
  18. Beautiful! Amazing!

There was an old oversized artfolder with many of this work and a few others , each one was an individual print . I must have bought it in the late 80's..
  20. Wasn't impressed by the old live action AB. It was..ok. Hopefully this one is better.

@vlenhoff good questions. The answer is basically this. When Yoshiuki Takani san was commissioned to do these works he had some mechanical designs but no story. The series was in production and he didn't know how these mechs were truly intended to be portrayed. The same goes for the characters, there wasn't a minmei yet or clarity on Hikaru's design. At least not to him. He was probably given a rough, early story board for that image, or it was simply verbal..These were early promotions for the series and toys, remember this one? Same artist. Same story. No one told him What gerwalk was supposed to look like. The speaker pod cast crew discussed much of this years ago ..
