  1. I had no intentions of seeing this movie sind part 2 and 3 were super letdowns (and I understood what the architect was saying…. I think). But after I saw the RLM review of it and they said the movie is like Gremlins 2 with its critique of the Hollywood system I stopped the video and decided I have to watch it before I can continue the review.
  2. I’m fairly certain that the inevitable HWS will come with a white shield so not to scratch the precious polka dots when attaching the HWS „thing“ to it.
  3. I guess no „coming soon“ ob Galaxy Scycrow. 😔
  4. Since I ordered all my past TWE Macross add-on sets from NY and they went under does anyone know if anime-export was carrying the add-on sets in the past?
  5. Well I have issues with the sculpt of the Metal Build Hi-Nu (especially the lower legs) from the pictures we have seen for the last Tamashii Nations event
  6. I hope Bandai will release a Nu Gundam and a Sazabi in the Metal Build line to. While I adore the sculpt, deco and gimmicks on the Ver Ka MG kits (love the green psycho frame on the Nu) and I have issues with the sculpt of the MB Hi-Nu they are just so fiddly and not fun to pose. Generally they are too heavy for their own good. On my Hi-Nu the backpack falls off if you look at it funny, the legs on the Nu collapse and the Fin Funnels are a mess. The Sazabi is probably the best but the weapons are too heavy for the wrist joints. Don‘t know if this post would fit better into the Gunpla thread. 🤷
  7. I titled this picture: A case against light piping
  8. If the Grimlock turns out halfway decent I will buy him. Love the little T-Rex hands that become the robot arms. Regarding the Legends releases. It is sad that the last couple of releases I bought from IronFactory had such non-transformations. They look great in robot mode and are good action figures but the transformation and resulting alt-modes are lacking. I’m talking about their Lio Convoy, Cyclonus and Galvatron.
  9. I hope they announce some more X-Men soon. I need a Rogue and a Storm so that the collection feels somewhat complete.
  10. Got my New Age Prime today (the black and teal version that is). What an awesome little transformation. It is what the Masterpiece one was aiming for. Complex but not illogical and confusing. And it has a couple of those Masterpiece moments. Especially in the legs. He has a bit of a fat torso and the truck bed is not flat but he doesn’t habe the feet just hanging out back there. Feels great in hand too. What i don’t like are the missing gun supporting hands. If you put in extra hands (he has splayed and pointing hands) add some so that Prime can hold his gun with two hands. Recommend! The only thing missing is NA Cyclonus and my Legends collection will be complete.
  11. @lechuck I think they didn’t want to split the rear hatch of the car. That’s why decided having the fake hatch on the back of the legs. If that was a request of the licensor (like MP Sunstreaker) or a decision by the designer I don’t know.
  12. Sad news. The SNES was a huge formative experience for me. It was the second console I’ve owned (the Game Boy was the first) and it not only made me a fan of video games in general but Japanese video games and the Japanese aesthetics specifically. This had a huge impact on my other hobbies I have now: mecha, anime and manga. For example I fell in love with Arika Toriyamas character design for Chrono Trigger (which my dad brought over from a trip to the US, since Europe rarely got JRPGs) long before I knew Dragonball existed.
  13. I’m super tempted by the AT-AT as my Lego SW collection are manly Minifig scaled vehicles. This, a Tie Interceptor, a Tie Bomber and an Imperial Shuttle are the glaring holes in my collection.
  14. I wonder if the red MB 00 Seven Sword is vaporware bow that they didn’t show any new images during the last Tamashii Nations event.
  15. I’m now one step closer completing my Cliffjumper and Nemesis/Black Prime collection. I was browsing Mandarake when I noticed that both the Transformers United Black Prime and WfC Cliffjumper were available at the same store. Black Prime is an awesome toy of an iconic mold. I have the SDCC Nemesis Prime but he lives happily in his FP City Commander armor so I wanted another standalone copy. I especially love the gray paint they used throughout the toy. Cliffjumper is a painted version of the War for Cybertron Cliffjumper which is a remold of Bumblebee. Love the cherry red paint job. Otherwise He is a bit shellformery and the transformation is not smooth due to all the panels that need to tab together. But I’m super happy to have them.
  16. Sadly toy collecting is a very lonely hobby*. I don’t know anyone that collects in my area. Some of my friends have a friendly interest but I can’t have a deep discussion about toys with them. That said. I would totally lend you some of my toys for review if I could. *I think I picked up the notion that it is a lonely hobby from @tekering.
  17. I’m always amazed that so many Primes haven an issue with hiding the feet. They often just hang out in the back of the truck
  18. At the tome of writing Anime Export has it available it seems like: https://www.anime-export.com/index.php?product=54764
  19. Is a P-Bandai release different than a TWE release? I want to understand why I can „easily“ order some MB Gundams that are exclusive releases and some don’t even show up at the shops that allow you to order these exclusive toys.
