Yeah the Skull and Crossbones is on the Wing of the Super Parts released next month. On the wings of the YF-29 30th Anniversary is a white SMS logo on white surface. The Skulls on the Super Parts should pop equally.

Just great now it can't be unseen. And to top it of know I have the Muppet Babies theme song in my head. This is a sad day. -
I thought Australia is using the Euro..... ... I'm such a troll.

I just had a second thought about the color of the armor parts. A company that is capable to print white Skull and Crossbones on white plastic is capable of any other absurdity that I can imagine!

A screenshot with a good view of the head would be nice because I assume it is different from the YF-29 Alto Custom. Also: black is beautiful!

The interesting moral question that arises is the following: does the intended customer base suffer from NYs business practices?

I think these are anti capital ship reaction missiles and thus have a larger size.

Veef from CDX has made two videos. One with the review and transformation from Fighter- over Gerwalk- to Battroid-mode and one from Battroid- to Fighter-mode. Check out CollectionDX: http://www.collectiondx.com/

Couldn't someone who can write Japanese write an email to Bandai and/or Kawamori to point out that the armor panels have the wrong color?
-
In your original post it seams that all CDX reviewers have no idea what the do besides 70s Super Robot toys and Star Wars. I wanted to point out that today almost all Macross related stuff is done by Veef but the original Macross Quarter review was done by Adam. Also it is good do hear a critical review when you thinking about ordering a high priced item (maybe not so high priced since were tanking here about the Quarter after all). Sure your copy of the toy might hold the flight deck and gun straight but that might vary (and it will since its from Bandai). If I order something from Amazon I always read some user comments that gave a bad rating because I want to know whats the worst case.

I'm sure all their suppliers are gladly selling them all their stock if NY can sell them for the asked price and make profit. $_$ If this continues the next the whole production run of the VF-25S reissue will be shipped via NY.

Cheer up. I like your reviews. *waves a little CDX-flag*

I think that depends on the putty you're using but I'm no modeling expert so maybe check the modeling board here they might offer some advice. I thought you know more about modeling than I do because I always admired your customs. The putty I used was pretty robust but also brittle. Just to clarify things. There is a screw that goes from the fuselage into the intake area of the legs. This screw attaches the leg to the fuselage but also is a pivot point for the sideways leg movement. On your toy the mounting point for said screw is broken. So you need cylinder that has the same diameter as the round recess in the lags that has a screw thread in the middle to attach it to the fuselage. If so that should be easy to create with a CAD program and a screw tap or you could cut it out of a piece of sturdy and flexible plastic (some old pieces made out of ABS or so). Don't get me wrong I'm a novice regarding modeling and my model builder days are long over just had that thought on my mind and tried to figure out a way do fix my VF-19 if it breaks someday. *knock on wood*

MacrossJunkie wouldn't it be easier to create the part with modeling putty (instead of shapeways) and glue it in. A cylinder with a screw hole should do the job. As far as I see it the broken part is not visible from the outside so it doesn't have to look good. Maybe I'm getting the wrong expression from the pictures but for me it looks doable.

As far as I remember there was never an armored CF Valkyrie in the show. Only Altos squad had the add-on.

To be fair the Quarter was reviewed by Adam.

I quoted a post from Veef regarding the color of the Super Parts of the VF-171 CF over at the CF-tread. I don't know how to quote from one topic to another. Sorry.

Found this earlier in the thread regarding the color of the Super Armor.

You can also buy a set and put the wings + warheads on the teal CF and add the particle gun and missile bay on a white VF-171 CF that has only these two parts of enhancement because the Armor Parts for the teal CF have the same color as the parts for the white VF-171. Why is no one bothered by the color of these or am I just crazy (totally possible). Also: VF-25 Super Parts same features on the Ozma and Alto versions VF-25 Armor Parts same features on the Ozma and Alto versions VF-171 only one iteration out so far with the only moving parts being the particle gun and the landing gear in the leg armor Yeah but you wrote that: Don't know where Ozma comes into play because there is not VF-171 Ozma Lee Custom only the VF-25S so someone might assume you're talking about the VF-25 add-on sets.
-
I'm sure they don't come with movable parts because they not even bothered with the right colored parts (correct me if I'm wrong). So why do something that costs more (movable parts) and has no major impact on the toy and ditch something that has a major impact (the right color) that costs next to nothing. Although I could be wrong because Bandai does often something that makes no sense to me. So if that really happened you can call me Bandai'd or something like this.
-
Doesn't the armor has the wrong color? I think the CF hat a light gray color for the armor panels in the second Frontier movie. The Valkyrie looks a little bit to drab with the blueish color. Also this is a Tamashii Webshop exclusive right? So no need to hurry with preordering because there is a deadline until the order has to be placed by the proxy buyers.

I haven't heard any issues regarding the VF-19 but the toy is pretty "new" so you never know. You can only hope that Yamato ramped up the production quality for this. The only issue I can remember from the top of my head are unstable ball joints in the feet but those seem to come from attempting extreme (i.e. good looking ) angles in Gerwalk-mode because the ball joints will get loose if you move them to much in their socket.

Don’t cry because it’s over. Smile because it happened. I know it's kind of a stupid advice but you have to see the positive side of things. We got most of the VF we asked for from Yamato. Maybe Arcadia picks up the business or some other company. But since the VF-19 is build like a rock and (most importantly) not cast in a white color you can enjoy it a long time. Until plastic becomes so valuable that your government is collecting all luxury goods made out of plastic to turn it into gas because there is no oil left on the world except plastic toys. Hm I wonder how a Valkyrie made cast in plastic made from corn would handle like....

I hope you succeed. NY was always responsive in the past but they're not as quick as other shops (I'm always astound how fast BBTS is responding). The thing I worry the most when ordering from NY is that I get a flawless toy so no missing parts and OK quality control (I'm good if the QC is decent ) because getting a replacement is kinda hopeless.

I sure I'm not allowed to make this comment firstly because the VF-19S is the only Yamato Valkyrie I own and secondly because the arguments has been brought up several times but non the less I'm not thrilled with the Gerwalk-mode. If it comes to the best Macross Valkyrie ever produced by Yamato I feel it should be a VF that can achieve all three modes in an outstanding fashion. So more nitpicks that I haven't seen before. - the material on the wings is so thin and sharp that it appears translucent in an environment with bright lights - I really hate the black copyright labeling on the underside of the wings. Couldn't the find another place for those? Other that that is its close to perfection and I'm very exited to have one. It's sitting on the prime spot on my desk and I can't stop gushing. Even if the VF-171CF comes out this month and the TF MP-11B is on the way I think both toys have to take a back seat on the shelfs until I'm finished admiring the Blazer. Well done Yamato!
