  1. Yeah but he decided to take the bullet. Alto just sits there and without any doubts with zero hours in Macross 30 I can certainly tell that with Leon it is the same. Yay prejudice! \o/
  2. Also this plane was piloted by Leon who is a totally different, metrosexual lad. *sigh* Oh Roy, where are you in times of need.
  3. Macross R is Macross the Ride correct?
  4. Lucky you! My VF-25G had loose hip joints right out of the box. He can still hold his pose spying through his sniper pose as seen on the box art.
  5. Yeah it seems that the parts with the hard points area easily swappable. What could that mean? Here the swappable parts would make more sense than on the VF-171 since they are more pronounced and clearly visible in Battroid-Mode. If this means that Bandai has plans to release add-on sets I would embrace the swappable parts. On the other hand Bandai should include all the extras from the beginning. IIRC on the first renders/prototype of the VF-171 there where also hard points included so we could see that happen again with the YF-30.
  6. Looking at the image I really like how the arm transforms. It is similar to the YF-21 as far as I can tell. Some differences: the housing for the hands seem to fold rather seamlessly into the lower legs parts of the underside of the wings fold around the forearm like the YF-21 it has panels that cover parts of the arm. In the case of the YF-30 it seems to cover the upper arm. the panel seems rather large. Hopefully the panel is not a floppy mess that dangles around in Gerwal-/Battroid-Mode. Regarding the hard points. The way the wing tips fold up against the main wing missiles will get in the way. So either the hard points are not usable in Battroid-Mode or the cannot fold flush against the main wings. I question this design choice. Not only prevents this point from fully utilizing the attachment point (as described) it also prevents a heavy workload like the MDE-Missiles. If the wing tip joint it loose this will automatically lead to a drooped wing because the way it was designed to fold up against the main wing. I don't know why the tips don't fold up against the upper side of the main wings. Maybe it was an oversight or Kawamori designed it without hard points in mind. So it will only be the small single missiles form the VF-171 on the outer hard points. Bummer. What I like are the attachment points on the forearms. That way you can have a missile launcher (like the cluster from the Nightmare Plus) and pointing it towards a threat. An imaginary threat because there was no sighting of the S.H.Monsterarts Vajra. The hard points on the stock YF-30 makes me wonder if they will include missiles with the toy or if they will come as an add-on set with modules for the weapon bay. Oh I so want a giant transformable beam gun for the YF-30. BFGs all the way!
  7. Maybe we can arm the Chronos with the two big reaction missiles from the VF-171CF. I don't like the color of the gray hinge where the outer wings fold in. This should be white in my opinion.
  8. I like the Battroid-Mode of the Cutlass. I have a soft spot for asymmetric mechs. The idea that the wings shield the canopy is also cool. The feet are a bit bulky and the head has too much of a cone-shape to my liking but overall I like it. I would love a VF-2SS. Why can't we have nice things?
  9. Could be.... I first mistook her for a Valkyrie-Girl.
  10. I'll wait for the final judgment on the controller until I had the change to try one out. Maybe Valve has something incredible new up their selves. You know the things that look like notebook touchpads could be some new technology that are forming a 3d stick out of thin air like the HMIs in the new Superman movie. All I can say is that I can't aim in shooter games with a controller even if my life depends on it. Maybe this will be a game changer maybe not. I cannot tell from an image.
  11. The VF-25G has such a nice shade of blue.
  12. I'm not saying it not possible but unlikely. Probably depending on how well the first one is selling. I love the Skywarp-esque black and purple scheme and would prefer to have this in my collection over another white plane with black and red accents. Especially since I don't have any emotional attachment to the Leon character and just want a cool looking Valkyrie. I say it again: Bandai I would buy the one with the purple accents. In fact I would buy any purple colored Valkyrie.
  13. The sad part is no announcement of the Tornado Parts for the Renewals.
  14. I don't know if Bandai will release more variants from the game. Heck we don't even know if this is a web exclusive or not (or do we?). As far as I know Macross 30 didn't sell that much units. Neither Leon nor the YF-30 appeared in the show or the movies. I'm amazed to see Bandai releasing the YF-30 after all, I'm not taking any changes on this one since the stock YF-30 might be all we get. Much like the YF-29 Ozma custom the black/gray and purple YF-30 looks great and I wouldn't mind getting a second one.
  15. There is a video from MW member Anubis on YT where he describes how to tighten the shoulder joints on the YF-29. A similar technique could achieve the same for the hips. Anubis tried another fix for the VF-25 hips where he put a small piece of rubber between the ball and its cup. I asked him a while ago how this is holding up and it seems to work ok for him. To get to the hip joints of the VF-25 Renewals you have to unscrew the screw on the back of the die-cast intakes. A word of caution some small pieces might drop out so be careful not to lose them.
  16. Are you still keeping your preorder now that you know you have already this toy?
  17. I have a top floor flat which has small chambers on each side where the skewness of the roof framework meets the wall. This makes the rooms a bit smaller but the walls higher and I have enough room for the boxes of my small toy collection. I'm curious how many more boxes can fit in there. I guess I'm kinda lucky in that regards.
  18. The fighter mode is beautiful.
  19. I'm excited for this release because it will be my first VF-1 V2. I don't know where to display it but I'm excited. Hope they do Max and Kakizaki as well. Need a complete Skull Squadron.
  20. Also you have to ask the late Yamato because they released the toy with that color scheme. I really dig the Bandai Monster. I wish they would reissue it.
  21. I think Battroid looks only good in certain angles. In the CAD pictures we saw earlier it has very strange proportions when viewed directly from the side. It looks like the letter "H". That said you don't have to display it so you can see it from the side. I certainly won't.
  22. I transformed my VF-25A. The joints are great. I wish the finish was that good on the YF-29 and VF-25F to G. So a Ozma Custom reissue has the potential to be an awesome toy. I'm a little sad that I already have an VF-25S,
  23. That is not strange. Some people like legs others the chest. There is no right and wrong what is appealing on a wo... *cough* I mean a Valkyrie!
  24. It can stay attached to the mount in all three modes and transformation. Kawamori showed it in the Lego model transformation. But the Chronos can theoretical equip different weapon bay layouts (i.e. stuff like the beam gun or dare I say a giant speaker pod ). If it is detachable the Bandai might sell different layouts as an add-on set because the YF-30 doesn't has a Super Parts. On the other hand it might be beneficial if it can detach nevertheless. Even if the piece is very lightweight I might be more comfortable to take it off during transformation because the leverage of this piece alone might stress the joints when dangling around in a way that make them break. Which leads us to.... I hope it is not. the weapon bay sits at an angle where any die-cast content might wear the joints down. I hope it is as lightweight as possible. It would be nice if the mount of the weapon bay can be locked into place with a support strut (like the back of the Renewal VF-25s) so that it takes weight away from the joints. In this image it looks like the missile hatches can open to reveal missiles which is pretty cool It also looks like it has all the markings from the game. They where missing in the CAD images. Can someone read the sign in front of the toy? It looks awesome from that angle. The wings don't look that bad but I would really wish that Kawamori made the tail fins to slide up. On the other hand maybe the Battroid-Mode loses all maneuverability if the tail fins have now room to move.
  25. That is some awesome information. Thanks a lot! I may check out the Exia or the Quan[T] if I like the 00 Raiser (or the Nu Gundam because I like the color scheme, also the Sazabi looks cool, so I might ask questions like whats the difference between a Nu and a High Nu Gundam ). I was just wondering why all the MG kits at hlj look like the same basic Mobile Suite.
