  1. New Final Fantasy 7 BringArts figures: Barret (¥12000, release 04/24): https://www.anime-export.com/index.php?product=72869 Sephiroth (¥12000, release 06/24): https://www.anime-export.com/index.php?product=72870 Red XIII (¥12000, release 09/24): https://www.anime-export.com/index.php?product=72871 That leaves Vincent, Cid, Yuffie and Cait Sith. I hope they release Vincent and Yuffie so I can have at least my go to party in 6" scale.
  2. I‘m interested in the SHF Tekken 8 line. Given Bandais terrible track record of finishing lines (looking at you SHF Street Fighter line) I probably pick and choose releases.
  3. I feel like a merger would reduce Nintendo to a software company or worse an IP provider for Microsoft hardware. From a hardware perspective Nintendo would be getting a powerful technology stack for sure. However, we would probably lose the quirkiness of the Nintendo hardware and Nintendo games would just run on a glorified PC box in the living room. I assume mobile gaming and customer proliferation wouldn’t be at the point it is today if it wasn’t for the Switch and WII respectively. From my perspective we live in an age were hardware plays less and less of a role for games. What matters is the quality of the gameplay. Some Nintendo titles like TotK would certainly benefit from beefier hardware but overall it seems less of a factor at the moment. Keep in mind I don’t own a gaming PC or current consoles at the moment besides the Switch and I’m currently playing Warhammer 40k Boltgun and F-Zero 99.
  4. @davidwhangchoi HLJ is having a raffle for buying the MS Nu Gundam: https://www.hlj.com/metal-structure-rx-93-nu-gundam-raffle/ The cutoff date for the raffle is 09/27/23 and you have to be subscribed to the HLJ newsletter to enter it.
  5. @davidwhangchoi saw that the reservations for the MS Nu Gundam are open at E Knight Media over at TFW: https://www.eknightmedia.com/ms-gundam-char-s-counterattack-rx-93-v-gundam-kaitai-shou-ki-metal-structure-action-figure-by-bandai-tamashii-nations.html The way I understand it is not a preorder but a potential reservation if they get enough stock and they require a non-refundable $100 downpayment: https://www.tfw2005.com/boards/threads/bandai-metal-build-discussion.1115253/page-408#post-21685250
  6. Joy Toy released some images of the Holy Janitors and they look pretty good.. …ugh maybe I just buy the one with the Boltbroom and the Sacred Wipe:
  7. The VF-25G Revival set is available at Anime Export (¥32800): https://www.anime-export.com/index.php?product=72514
  8. They are 3.75" figures no? That is a bummer. I would have bought a 6" Captain Commando for my MvC2 shelf.
  9. Metal Build Providence available at Anime Export (pay now ¥49800): https://anime-export.com/index.php?product=72488 [edit:] sold out now.
  10. After your description I started to watch the show too. Somehow the main character gives me a lot of B Gata H K vibes. Not sure why that is. After watching the first three episodes I wonder were the story is going to go… I also fairly certain that the manager is not actually hurt. For some reason her MO for hiring new employees is to blackmail them into servitude.
  11. Do topics don’t count as posts?
  12. If the board software is counting my posts correctly this is my 5000th post after a little over 10 years. So I want to use this as a opportunity to thank @Graham and @Shawn for providing this platform for me to geek out over Macross and various other topics. I want to thank the admins that they keep such a tight ship making MWF one of the more pleasant places on the Internet. And I want to thank the members of the forums because they provide so much useful and entertaining content (and are generally pleasant to interact and converse with) . I originally lurked on and finally joined Macross World because it was the place to be to get all the information about DX Chogokin Renewals that were hard to even preorder back then. But even before I bought all the toys I ever wanted I found this a wholesome community I interact with on a daily basis so… Thank you!!! PS: in the age of social networks and Discord servers a message board is quite an antique piece of software but I hope it will be around for a little longer.
  13. I got Fans Hobby's Fright Storm (G1 MP Style Power Master Dreadwind) and before I talk about the figure two remarks: First, as a child I had few Transformers (less than 10) and I seldomly watched the cartoon or read the comics. But I had G1 Dreadwind and the gorgeous box art which left a big impression on my child self. Second I dislike all Fans Hobby releases. The ones I own and the others I watched and read reviews about. In broad terms their toys lack sophistication in sculpt, engineering, proportions, materials and transformation (sometimes in multiple categories at once). Having said that you can imagine how joyful I was after Fans Hobby announced a new iteration of one of my childhood's favorite toys. To start with the bad stuff: everything below the knees is emblematic of that lacking sophistication I talked about earlier. The lower legs have that cool feature to shift the shins forward to give them more mass; but there is no mechanism to lock them into position so you collapse them every time you mess with the legs. And you will mess with them a lot since the ankle design is utter trash. They are ball stems with almost no friction making the toy unstable and hard to balance. Also, for a company that gave Armada Megatron a recoiling cannon gimmick and Armada Optimus spring loaded guns I can’t fathom why they didn’t replicate the spring loaded door that was a key feature on the Power Master toys. Didn’t need to unlock the transformation just retract while putting the Power Master into place. Small nitpicks: the outward hip joints are spaced to far apart and too strong and the guns feel too hollow (again lacking sophistication). Luckily the rest of the figure is stellar. The materials feel great, the powdered look on the teal and gray looks awesome in person (can’t tell if paint or bare plastic). The transformation is easy and clever; the designer even managed to include a working waist. The sculpt is great, having the right amount of stylization and update to the G1 toy. TLDR: Good figure but short of greatness. If you are a fan of the original toy I would recommend it.
  14. I got my first JoyToys toys. Four Dark Angel marines. They are nice, playable and easily amassable toys. I already ordered the two Dark Angel captains and I need to resist buying Rowboat Girlyman because that will lead down a dangerous rabbit hole once they start releasing more Primarches.
  15. I would be all over new SHF Street Fighter releases. I would buy all the rest of the Super Street Fighter cast but what really hurts is that they never did a Guile.
  16. @mikeszekely I think it works quite well, especially the paint job on the chest gives it a stitched together look. I don’t know what else they could have done with Frankenstein's Monster. Maybe lean more into the asymmetrical look of Autobot Spike? On this note I would have preferred it if they named the toy Frankentron's Monster and never reveal who Frankentron is.
