If it was a PO, that would cost a bomb, not to mention shipping costs. But certainly the valk display to end all valk displays!

Super Macross Mecha Fun Time Discussion Thread!
seti88 replied to Valkyrie Driver's topic in Movies and TV Series
I was looking at the thrusters under the soles of the feet, not legs per se.. I dont thk the VA-3 has thruster nozzles under their feet(?) since the feet are derived from splitting the tail in 'half'. If am not mistaken every other macross valk has thruster nozzles under the soles of the feet... Oh yeah i keep forgetting abt the updated glaugs!! Man, that design is awesome, quite a design expansion, in what a 3 mode, variable transforming mech looks like. That would certainly cover the no palm/fingers element. Does the variable glaug also has thruster nozzles under the soles of the feet? I cant tell... Oh something to add to my wish of valks, bandai would merchandise. Also would the variable glaug be considered a valkyrie? My only rational to say yes, is that it has battroid, gerwalk and fighter modes. -
Hmm i kinda don't like these mumbo jumbo theories, sorry to say. And not just abt the joker, but scripts in general that use alien races/forces that are the cause of all the mayhem.....its just too easy to explain away motives.. I prefer influences of circumstances/environment/human nature..i.e. a complicated/layered explanation instead...

Super Macross Mecha Fun Time Discussion Thread!

I am still waiting to see if he would incorporate VA-3M design elements into his newer valks. Stuff like no physical palms/fingers or even feet that do not have jet nozzles under the feet. Not the aesthetically pleasing no doubt, but from a design perspective certainly unique. Do you think if there are any more elements of his old designs that still havent made it into updated versions? -

Super Macross Mecha Fun Time Discussion Thread!

I had tot if kawamori ran it through his head, that it would be considered "official" so to speak. But i didn't cater for the fact that he himself did a "what-if". Long story short, was just looking for design elements in old valks, that "maybe" would be incorporated into new valk merchandise releases. Here visually, seems the only significant elements in the SW-XA1/2 would be proportions to already existing valks such as the vf1/19/21. -

Just happened to catch this on a old post on a JP twitter user.... Would the SW-XA1 fit under the non-official works and non master file? which led me to this...SW-XAII Schneegans Sorry if its been covered in your list already, but maybe my eyes are getting old i dont see it... -
Haha was going to say probably not for earthquake zones, but suddenly remembered the picture is from japan!

Found some pics! Not exactly the example with a bandai 1/60 DX and inverted cradle though. But principle remains, dont ask me how it works from the pic! Hmm...and no, i havent seen 1/48 DX VF-1 on a trident stand come to thk abt it... Anyone want to try? My trident stand is unopened deep in storage somewhere...

Arcadia's pricing helps to avoid PO madness. In many circumstances, you can still get Arcadia releases after release day at MSRP. But of course, no point waiting if you made up your mind, which will give confidence to Arcadia to release more macross toys.

You are correct in the sense it wasnt designed for the DX line though. Saw some JP twitter folks cradling their valks with the upturned hook which normally cradles figures.

Actually i have seen the tamashii trident stands being used for the DX by some JP users. If using the standalone, you could also arrange 3 individual stands, 1 holding the nose, 2 holding the legs, tho it has to be on a very stable platform to begin with...

I think there was a display somewhere mentioning 27k yen... That non-PF version is the 4G version and was once the holy grail of 1/60 valks collecting, as no-one did a transformable VF-4 before and was sold out until it was re-issued. In theory, this is even more..uh....holier for the 1/60 scale, as its based on the macross 2012 flashback OVA version! Of course, it loses its holiness a bit if its widely available...

Upcoming release next year of the VF-4A valkyrie by arcadia. Updated pics show panel lining where there weren't any before. Arcadia will release more product specs nearer to the PO date. No word on when the pre-order starts as yet.

Just wondering if you got the 51 and if that affected the sentiment. Not a knock on the rant, mind you. Seems like arcadia is spreading their wings. More towards customization, i.e. is it a model or is it a toy?, category. Bandai certainly isn't known for panel lining or weathering, and i suspect would not fit in with their mass production techniques. Time will only tell if arcadia can pull it off, and if the market will respond to it.

whoa is it really going to be panel lined? Arcadia being the tease nowadays....I might wait till the reviews are out on the panel lined 0D and then on this before deciding. I wonder how well the panel lines will come out.... So far price being the main obstacle for me...

Legioss looking oh so pretty and a mech badass. But that seam line across the abs, gee what a place to have it. Oh how I wish the price was more accommodating...
