  1. This movie is loosely based on Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow by Tom King with art by Bilquis Evely. https://www.amazon.com/Supergirl-Woman-Tomorrow-Tom-King/dp/1779515685
  2. It's MicroCenter's in-house brand SI. At least they use off-the-shelf parts (you can make out the Lian-Li AIO cooler and the PNY Geforce card in the pic). If it wasn't for RAM prices exploding out of control...
  3. There's rumblings that Paramount may file a lawsuit over this to challenge Netflix's purchase. As of posting, Paramount was ready to perform a hostile takeover by doing an all-cash deal at $30/share, versus Netflix's $27.75/share. Minus regulatory, we'll see what happens over the coming weeks/years.
  4. It might take years. We are, likely, still climbing that peak. Things might not level off until 2027/2028. Unless we see a sudden crash in 2026, 2026 will not be a good year for computer-related buying (There are other economic factors that may decide where things trend but those are for a different venue). It comes to the question, "What is using AI trying to solve?". Basic tasks? Sure. That's happening now. But as we get to more complicated stuff, we then get to AGI (Artificial General Intelligence), which is suppose to be able to perform more complex tasks. And we're not there yet.
  5. Micron Announces Exit from Crucial Consumer Business So I have questions. What happens after the AI bubble bursts? If Micron is doing this, what's stopping others from following suit? We know 90% of Nvidia's sales are datacenter-based. What's holding Nvidia back from killing Geforce? It's not like they need GeForce to sustain themselves. If Micron/Crucial killed the Ballistix line back in 2022, they must have seen the writing on the wall back then. Sidebar, I'm actually considering upgrading my stuff just to lock in the deals right now (minus the ridiculous RAM prices). Between skyrocketing RAM and SSD prices, rumors of AMD price hikes, and factories NOT increasing production, these proposed price hikes are really gonna hurt into 2026. Either the AI bubble is going to burst and bring everyone down or things will not improve for the long haul. Like not till 2027. Also, is cloud-based setups the only way us peons are going to have affordable computing?
  6. It was earlier this week. It wasn't on my priority list so I missed out on a Beelink Ser9 (had it saved in my cart and checked back when I got home and the price already went up and was out of stock at that price point) and a Dell Pro Micro refurb (was in my cart, went to a meeting and gone after I came back). I also was tracking a Beelink Ser8, but even those disappeared. I see some SSD "deals" that I might act on instead ("Deals" meaning that's the price they were being sold at back in August as opposed to the inflated price they are sold at today).
  7. Same here (though, not for Batocera). 'Also been looking at the refurbished 1L/Micro PCs Dell/HP/Lenovo as well.
  8. Case is purely your aesthetic choice. You want the dual-chamber? Fish tank? Good-olde rectangle? This one is up to you. GPU and PSU kinda go hand-in-hand. With PSUs, overspec'ing is always OK. If you get up to a 5070 Ti or 9070 XT, the maximum you'll need is a 850W. Anything more is future-proofing. RTX 5080? You'll need a ~1000W. 5090? Get the maximum you can for a reasonable price. Minimum of 1000W, but get bigger. A 5090 can suck up all 600W of the 12V-2x6 plug. And be sure it is a newer model which has current protection. If the 5090 fries itself, you'll want the PSU to have protection.
  9. FYI, at time of this post 11,000 Japanese Yen = 70.37 United States Dollar Shipping: depending on which option you choose, $22.51-$25.59
  10. No and likely no. The 4K movie-only re-release has no subtitles and looks to be a JP release. The Crunchyroll Black Friday deal above has both movie and OAV. The 4k re-release is also kinda pricey for just the movie. Unless you want 4k and just the movie only, the Crunchyroll BF deal seems like the better of the 2.
  11. Maingear also reporting RAM shortages and they're trying to hold pricing but they are also heading toward price increases by January. CyberPowerPC cites 500% RAM surge as MAINGEAR warns of deeper memory shortages RAM and SSD chip manufacturers are not ramping up production because they've been burned too much of late with those massive spikes in production only then to see rapid decrease in demand. If this AI boom is in a bubble, hardware makers do not want to be caught in that bubble if or when it does burst. TLDR; If you're gonna buy, buy now.
  12. In a bit of potential bad news...The Steam Machine may be priced like a PC and not a game console. https://mp1st.com/news/steam-machine-will-cost-like-a-pc-not-a-console
