  1. I'll assume that Starship Troopers game is designed for MMO, lower end platforms cuz those graphics suck. Galactic Racer reminds me of Pod Racer. Meh. A John Wick-based game? Why????? I'm somehow less impressed by 007: First Light than when it was announced...
  2. The next installment in the Black Myth-series. And just a FYI on who is Zhong Kui (鍾馗): https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Zhong_Kui Also cuz we might have missed this cuz it had ZERO gameplay footage:
  3. Bautista's Kurgan has a Rasputin-vibe going on with that long coat, beard, medium curly hair.
  4. More good-bad news. Exclusive: Intel, AMD notify customers in China of lengthy waits for CPUs This mainly affect server/data center CPUs so the ripple effect may not affect the consumer and EU/US enterprise markets till we get farther down the road. I'm gonna say that the saving grace for the latter mentioned markets is likely that it's pointless to buy a CPU if you have no decently priced RAM nor GPUs to go with that CPU upgrade.
  5. You say that like there's better price/performance choice out there...😒 That kit is nearly 1/2 the cost of that bundle on its own. *Looks at current price of CL28 32GB DDR5 kit* 😱😭
  6. Panther Lake-based (Core Ultra 300-series) laptops reviews are trickling out. Definite performance gains with much better battery-usage. Definitely sounds like a W for Intel. The downside are laptop pricing (Thanks AI, RAM and SSD supply) and Intel missing the AI boat (i.e. with everyone aiming at datacenter $, Intel doesn't really have a true product in that space. Their enterprise/DC products lean more toward general purpose compute. Consumer $ is pennies compared to datacenter $). On the flip side, the Ryzen 7 9850X3D review are out. Yeah....$40 for ~4% performance uplift coupled with more heat and more power usage. Yep, AMD recreated Intel's KS SKU of CPUs.
  7. Judging by the Stormtrooper armor, this looks to be following the end of Bad Batch.
  8. At least with Filoni in charge, there should be less chance of literal recycling of the old movies. I'll take wins where one can get them, even if its a minor win.
  9. I think Hardware Unboxed recently released a video on how much RAM one needs and 16GB was still about to tough it through most modern games. Unfortunately, that 8GB of VRAM for that 5070 is where it's gonna hurt.
  10. Macbooks have the best out-of-box speaker tuning. I can attest to that. That being said, I'd be using headphones/earbuds regardless. I've been using a personalized audio solution (headphones, earbuds, all sorts of wireless styles) for ages now. Even if I have speakers, I just prefer having my noise blasting straight into my ears these days and blocking out the surrounding space.
  11. Hardware Unboxed posted a community note on the RTX 5070 Ti. https://www.youtube.com/post/UgkxKba8DqK5LE-KesvtVvPUeSeq65r1ONGK TLDR; echos what I said. 5070 Ti and 5060 Ti 16 GB production has been reduced to a trickle where one could consider it EOL. Nvidia hasn't EOL'd any RTX 50-series, only reduced and prioritized GPU and VRAM component shipments, namely focusing on the 5060/Ti 8GB, 5070, 5080 and 5090 at the expense of the 5070 Ti and 5060Ti 16 GB. Asus doesn't know when it will receive a shipment of 5070 Ti parts nor are they expecting any components for those 2 models any time soon.
  12. I think it's the other side of the coin with this story. Nvidia is shifting supply to the 5060/Ti 8GB models at the expense of the 5070 Ti and 5060 Ti 16GB. A 5070 Ti is a cut-down 5080, so why not force buyers to pay the extra $250 for the 5080. If buyers want something better than the 5060, the 5070 (non Ti) is still out there. Asus marking the 5070 Ti as EOL is signalling that they do not expect any inventory any time soon. Nvidia may bring back the 5070 Ti or the 5060 Ti 16GB, but Asus is saying, "Don't bet on it nor us making more 3rd party cards" If the RTX 6000s come out next year, the 5000 Supers are DOA and Nvidia likely are forecasting that scenario.
  13. Here's a good take on the RAM crisis https://x.com/jatinkrmalik/status/2009689523513618887?s=20https://x.com/jatinkrmalik/status/2009689523513618887?s Or if you need a picture:
