  1. Maybe it was ChatGPT-5 being retrained after the laughable release this week. AI companies love data and their bots will scrap from where ever, how ever. There was a report out this week that Meta has a new lawsuit for training their AI on torrented p0rn (probably to train their filter 🤷‍♂️). You can bet AI companies are just flat out ignoring and bypassing htaccess and robots.txt.
  2. There are only 3 maps in the open beta. They all look like urban combat zones. It would have been nice to see at least 1 large-scale or open map. Graphics look OK but, yes, BF1 and BFV graphics looked better.
  3. A GPU will eat up anywhere between half to all of that $900 budget. Ryzen 5 9600X or 7600X B850 or B650 motherboard 16 GB RAM 1TB SSD (maybe can fit in a 2TB if $$$ allows) 750W-850W PSU RTX 5060 or RX 9060XT
  4. Not sure about the Intel CPU. You could get away with 16GB if this year's model has extra RAM slots. If it does, then the 16GB is fine.
  5. Side comment. I gotta give props to the writer of this episode for doing their homework. The whole holodeck needing its own power supply came from Voyager and later, Picard. Physical characteristics based of the transporter's pattern buffer came from DS9 when they had to store the patterns in a large enough storage space (namely the holosuite). The duotronic computer systems of the 23rd century likely made independent holodeck servers infeasible but the latter 24th century isolinear systems made it feasible.
  6. The only semi-MW presence on FB I am aware are some members here are also on EXO's FB group. But again, beside some membership similarities, there is no association with MW.
  7. There's rumblings from the grapevine that Nvidia might try to push up the Supers' release to end-of-year/Q4 2025. We will definitely see them by CES in January 2026. Just FYI, rumors point to the Supers having the exact same CUDA core count as the non-Supers. Differences will be increased memory clock speeds and increased memory capacities. Wattage will also go up by 10-20% due to the increased memory clock speed.
  8. We're mid-cycle for computer parts right now. There really isn't anything big on the horizon. The RTX 50 Super lineup isn't terribly big news since it's just a new SKU to justify a price increase with. And more price increases are looming so people are trying to lock in the pricing by buying now.
  9. Yes. And Crysis. While developing for Cyberpunk 2078/9/80/81 and Crysis 4. Along with a whole slew of other tasks.
  10. That depends. Are you testing and training a local AI model to beat Freecell as fast as and as optimal as it can using as many instances of the game as possible (like a few hundred instances)? Threadripper can do that. Same goes for Minesweeper. But I think someone has probably written a simple non-AI app that does it already. 🤷‍♂️
  11. Or the gold-ish tunics all the guys wore. We should be seeing more flatter foreheads though.
  12. The official gameplay trailer will be out on July 31.
  13. Graphical downgrade (or I should say, a lack of an upgrade) may allow for more players. Updating the BF2042 Frostbite engine would still allow for 128-players. As a BF4 vet, those initial bugs absolutely murdered the game for the 1st 6 months. It literally took a year after release to iron out all the major bugs. My understanding is BF2042 also was a buggy mess at release (versus BF1 and BFV).
