  1. Wasn't 9 Ball one of the mercenary groups in Armored Core?
  2. Actually, JB0, the VF-25 doesn't come totally apart during the transformation. If you frame-by-frame the transformation sequence, you can see the swing bars that hold the front and rear fuselage together as well another piece that connects the mid-fuselage and legs to the front fuselage. The lighting makes them hard to see sometimes, but they are there. They're a bit easier to see in the second angle of the transformation sequence in the first episode.
  3. The name's not supposed to be Michelle, it's meant to be Michel (one l and no e at the end), which is the French equivalent of Michael, just like Mikhail is the Russian equivalent of the same name.
  4. The best use of the omni-directional barrier was in episode 27 when it was used to protect the Macross from the destruction of Boddole Zer's fortress.
  5. I initially liked Macross II until I got to the last episode. It felt like the series was planned for more installments, but was cut short due to poor sales or something and was ended early. Macross II was 5 episodes of build-up, 1 episode of conclusion, and a poor one at that.
  6. I love the way that the building with the large glass windows actually reflects the other buildings and Mikail's battroid. Nice detail.
  7. The only thing disappointing about the new GT-R is that I've only seen one in the two weeks that I've been in Japan. To make matters worse, it went by too fast for me to take a picture of it.
  8. Who cares about transforming toys? (Actually, I do!). Give me a 303 Devilfish and I'm a happy man!
  9. I kind of laugh every time I see Michelle instead of Michel. It's like people haven't heard that Michel is the French version of Michael. Why the character is referred by both names is a totally different question.
  10. Actually, it was Hiroyuki Kitazume (a few websites have this information wrong, Anime News Network included. At least the official Japanese website has it correct!) that did the character designs for part 3.
  11. One more day of torture for us in the Tokyo area. Damn you TBS for making us wait another day!!
  12. I'll be picking up my Black Selena sometime this week while I'm in Japan. I can barely wait, as I've been waiting for a toy or model of it since August of 98 when I saw the movie here in Japan. All I have now is a pretty crappy gashapon toy of it.
  13. I kind of like the Lightning and the Victor with all of their bulges and odd-angles. As long as they got their jobs done, who cares how they look.
  14. I've always loved the colors of the Proto-Garland. I actually had a base-model 1992 Nissan Sentra that had the same color scheme. It was a red body with gray, unpainted bumbers that always reminded me of the Proto-Garland.
  15. Don't they technically consider 13 episodes as a season in Japan?
  16. God, I'm so jealous of everyone's Macross cels!!
  17. Morpheus is indeed, correct. Kawamori designed both the VF-25 and the Nirvash. Is it considering stealing if you're the one that made it?
  18. I can't wait for Sunday to see all the Macross Frontier goodies at the Tokyo International Animation Fair!
  19. What the heck just happened here? People, lighten up!
  20. There doesn't have to be 30 Megaroad ships for the Macross 7 to be the 37th colonisation fleet, there just had to be 36 more fleets ahead of it regardless to what class ship is at the core of the fleet. Using the compendium's ship list, there were 13 Megaroad ships and 13 New Macross ships. That's 26 ships, leaving us only missing 11 ships. Those 11 ships could possibly be a class that has yet to be listed, or those 11 were lead by one of the Uraga class carriers or even Neo Nupetiet-Vergnitzs bis ships. The compendium even states that the Neo Nupetiet-Vergnitzs bis served in colonisation fleets in the 2040s.
  21. 13 Megaroad class ships. Macross 7 was a different class of ship, the New Macross class. The opening of Macross Frontier shows both Megaroad-lead fleets and New Macross-lead fleets.
  22. Aye, that is the Aestivalis that is the main part of the Black Selena. I plan to be picking up my own in about two weeks or so.
  23. This last episode had so many unexpected moments for me. It did not disappoint.
  24. Age isn't a factor in this. A few of my discs had small cracks in the hubs when I got the set new. If you look at the discs, they're a bit thinner than most.
