  1. You've completely lost all track of perspective in life if you think $400 is a reasonable price for a toy. $400 is right up there with those rare and incredibly expensive Maschine Krieger kits, and those are rare for a reason.
  2. Looks OK to me considering what it costs and how small it is. Still wouldn't buy yet another VF-1 model, perhaps they should have implemented this on a Messiah.
  3. I just like that cannon fodder VF25s are tan colored, like the old cannon fodder VF1-As
  4. The scene that comes to my head is at the start of episode 2, right after Michael arrives. His valkyrie goes from GERWALK to battroid instantly, even the sound effect is something like snapping a twig or your fingers. That is not fast, that is instantaneous.
  5. I understand this is the far future and there's been a huge amount of engineering changes. I think every aspect of the handling of a valkyrie has been upgraded nicely, from the new HUD system to the X-gear link up, but I can't get over how incredibly fast this thing turns from robot to plane. It doesn't switch, it SNAPS right into one form, and back. I wish this weren't so because its design is slowly growing on me, like the VF-11s. Also I hope we get to see more of it plain naked, no armor pack or super packs on. We are bordering Gundam terrain with the schoolboy theme and the charge knives.
  6. Remake it into a movie like DYRL with the original TV series. Macross 7 has aged badly, specially next to the newer series.
  7. ^ ^ | | Whoa that's what I'm talking about. I'm going to try and resurrect my scanner so you can see some of my drawing schemes.
  8. It's worth watching just for: 1) Viffidas 2) Battle 7 and its big gun 3) VF-22 Sturmvogel 4) Gamlin 5) Max as the captain, Millia as the City Mayor It's worth avoiding because: 1) Gundamesque valkyries 2) Basara Nekki 3) Spiritia magic surrounds us all 4) Basara Nekki 5) Basara Nekki Honestly it's just funny to see how the lead character ruins this show with his horrible voice and devil-may-care attittude. They could've just simply cloned Kakizaki, place his head in a puppy robot body and have him recite poetry and it would have been a BETTER protagonist. Well as so many have said you should try to watch it fully to have an opinion. Just heed my warning and be ready to "LISTEN TO HIS SOOONNGG"....
  9. Thanks for clearing that up. I said "seemed" because Roy introduced HIikaru to a test flight in the first episode, oh well, no need to die from a heart attack there mate. This is a good idea. After watching that episode closely I also noticed there were Ds present in the nuptial reception comitee-crossfire valkyrie thingy, in plain vanilla CF colors. This is also a very good idea. Thanks a lot guys!
  10. Hopefully someone with facts will step up to answer this; so far I've been unable to find evidence in The Compendium about what exact role did the VF-1D have in the Space War I. The reason I'm doubtful is because in the begining of the TV series they seem to have been used for training purposes. However, later on in DYRL we are introduced to the VT-1 "Super Ostrich" plane which just accomplishes that same task, albeit in space. Were any VF-1D's in some obscure squadron? I'd like to see if I can paint a couple of model kits I have differently from the horribly drab and played-out beige/orange theme we've all seen to death so far. I have been unable to find any online refference or any other modeler who's attempted to use different paint layouts and decals, which is rather odd for such a purty two-seater valk...
