  1. Looks like the ENTIRE cast of Guardians put out and signed a quite heartfelt Tweet in support of James Gunn. C'mon Disney, you knee jerked, fix this.
  2. frakk Batman? Seriously though, seems a decent deal if you are in to everything involved. There's a lot on there, I was almost tempted by Batman the Animated Series, but with it releasing remastered on Bluray, I can just wait for that.
  3. Widow seems to be selling out pretty quick too, I think she looks fantastic! Such a shame Cap got the short end of the stick, I managed to snag some really nice custom Wakanda shields for him, which are great, but he should have come with them from the start. I don't want to since I already spent so much, but I'm also looking in to a new custom head for Infinity War Cap.
  4. Hound looks good, except that nasty, massive armature on the back of his neck, that looks terrible. Probably a pass though, I had to do a triple take to make sure that wasn't a Willis repainted in "toon" colors. I'm not seeing enough to buy this guy as a replacement to Willis, and as always, I'm really not liking the plain "toon" deco, the white and not silver winch is quite ugly, I do like the white legs though, the face seems a bit off. A pass on Optimus V3. Looks like I'm sure many wanted it to, just not for me. All of the third party options are looking just as impressive IMO, not seeing any stand out reasons to be head over heels for Takara Prime V3. I expect a serious lack in silver paint and detail too, which isn't something I like. Great for those that waited, but once again, I doubt I'll waste the money and just stick with MP-10.
  5. I got them off of Aliexpress.com, but it looks like they're sold out. I also saw some of the same ones on Ebay with a healthy mark up, but those appear to be sold out too.
  6. Lego Voltron arrived! Looks like a really fun build, and 2,321 pieces will keep me busy for at least the rest of the weekend. I also got my custom Figuarts Infinity War Captain America Wakanda shields in. Like many, many others, I too was disappointed not to get any Wakanda shield action with Infinity War Cap, he should have came with these but Bandai seems to have to blatantly half ass at least one figure in every new Marvel Figuarts line. These look good, solid build, I like the size, the tip retracts like in the movie and they came as a set.
  7. The Bond Aston Martin build was fun, I'm probably going to need that VW Bug and Van, plus maybe the Mini Cooper now. Voltron arrived! A day late, but I'll take it. Looks like a fun build, and I didn't pay attention but 2,321 pieces will keep me busy for a while.
  8. I mean, after two seasons, it seems apparent Luke isn't confident in the super hero thing helping Harlem, even after his awesome little stint with his eventual partner Danny. I see the ending as exactly what that one neighborhood kid said to him, "If I had powers like you I would run this city!" So Luke said frakk it, and now he's not trying to be the nice guy, he's going to help Harlem one way or the other. I'm interested in seeing exactly HOW he handles things, does he still go personally, doing essentially what he did before that didn't work, or is he going to have goons and send them. If he does how far will he allow them to go? How will the police and Misty react to this? Misty is the one who has stuck up for him and spoken out about he's doing what they should and can't, how will she feel now that he's a boss? How will Danny react? Also, that episode with Danny was fantastic, it really showed what is possible with those two without Danny being a black hole of fun and charisma. Also, we got another taste of our proper Daughters of the Dragon, and it was also pretty awesome. I like the season overall, Bushmaster was a solid villain, and Mariah looks to be a bit of a wild card moving forward.
  9. These promo shots of Figuarts with 3d printed faces ALWAYS look off, and they always look much better in hand. Literally always better in hand, Marvel, Star Wars, Captain Jack Sparrow, Freddie Mercury. She'll be fine.
  10. Princess Leia is FINALLY coming, no release or pre-order date yet, but with official photos out it's gotta be soon.
  11. Same on Voltron! I'm very excited! I didn't want to pay out the ass for one day shipping like I did the DB5, so I just chose the free option, I will get mine in Friday in time for the weekend. Funny enough, Lego's email even included a little bit about Q accidentally slacking on a few packages, and that mine wasn't ready in time for my mission :).
  12. My problem is, who would've thought the big Savior story line would end up being one of the most boring, drug out, poorly handled story lines in WD history. It was the most anticipated story line from the comic, Negan was the most anticipated character. Negan was fine I guess, Jeffery Dean Morgan did a solid job, Negan's shtick just got old quick, and the Savior story line overall was a bust, the whole thing was quite poorly handled.
  13. This whole situation makes Disney look really bad IMO. I'm baffled at the people that actually think he's a pedophile though, the disconnect is VERY real. Nothing he tweeted was any worse than anything I've seen or heard in a Comedy Central Roast, everyone did something before Disney, and there's zero chance they weren't aware of that. Oh well, they made their 2 billion+ off of him.
  14. Lego didn't include my license in my initial order, I got an email this morning apologizing and letting me know they shipped it out separately :(. Oh well. Voltron is on the way too! So excited for that.
  15. Yup already nabbed mine this morning, just one of this guy. Looks good, stuck with free shipping, I should receive the Legendary Defender by Friday. On a side note, is there any reason to NOT be VIP on Lego.com? Seems silly not to, there's only benefits and zero down sides.
  16. Unfortunately that was kind of the big twist, but the movie is still entirely serviceable itself, M. Night nailed it, which threw a lot of people off. I'm surprised you hadn't already heard about the twist, everyone that saw Split raved about it and loved the twist, and everyone that saw it blew up online about it. Definitely a fantastic film, James McAvoy's "performances" were pretty amazing. Glass is looking fantastic! I loved Split and Unbreakable, hard to believe these were by the same guy that did Last Airbender, Lady in the Water and The Happening, he's gotta be the most inconsistent director in Hollywood. I think it comes down to genres, he is just stronger at certain ones then others, something about his take on superheroes just works.
  17. There are some new, smaller pieces, but no "cheating" massive monster bits or pieces. There's actually a LOT of clever little build techniques going on, like with how the rear view mirrors set in, it was a really cool little work around that Lego figured out. The initial build steps were the trickiest I'd say, you do the frame of the car first, and start on the elaborate little builds for the gadgets and such, the ejector seat and rotating machine gun headlights were a highlight for me. It was a fun build overall, I stayed up until nearly midnight last night wrapping it up, zero regrets even though I am completely miserable today.
  18. Looks good! I'm not getting into another scale though so this is an easy pass for me, I'll stick with Hi-Metal R.
  19. Three, yes three, of these beautiful sets showed up today. Came out yesterday for Lego VIP members, IMMEDIATELY swooped three, gladly paid for 1 day shipping and here we are. I'm a HUGE Bond fan, I've owned every film in four different formats over the years, I can honestly recite every line from most films in the franchise, I HAD to have this. One to open and build, one for MISB, and for one a good friend's b-day. A lot of car enthusiasts are bummed by this set, being Creator many expected a more spot on vehicle, but honestly, this is a Bond car, not just a model DB5. I feel Lego shouldn't even bother if they weren't going to throw in iconic gadgets and gimmicks, a more accurate to the real vehicle but gadgetless Bond DB5 would be a pass IMO. Having to fit so many features in, I think Lego did a pretty fantastic job with the shape overall. Could it be more accurate? Absolutely. Could it be more accurate without breaking the already pricey $150 price tag and fit all the features that actually make this a Bond car in? Highly doubtful, Lego did an amazing job with this IMO.
  20. Once again, Star Wars Resistance is a new series that has already been announced and is coming, by Dave Filoni, the guy that made Clone Wars and Rebels, clearly he isn't out of ideas. And once again, MANY fans weren't satisfied with the "ending" we got, it clearly wasn't the way the creator intended for the show to finish, there were several character and story threads never wrapped up, it wasn't a satisfying or true ending in the slightest. This continuation may have been to push Disney's streaming service, but for many fans, this is absolutely for them, and Dave Filoni as well, who has said many times in interviews he hated that he never got his proper ending to Clone Wars.
  21. Honestly? I don't mind in the slightest so long as it gives us some closure and a real ending, the way it "ended" wasn't satisfying at all IMO. And while Rebels gave us some answers to where several characters ended up, Clone Wars was supposed to give us the "how", it didn't get to on several different character and story threads, now it can! This! If this was Disney's plan, it will work on me, I need that Clone Wars fix, the big mouse is one crafty little monster.
  22. Woops, I guess there already was a thread for this, couldn't find it in the first few search pages so I just made this new thread, mods, do with it as you please. Why not? What would Solo have to do with the massively popular Clone Wars series? Clone Wars was a beloved series by a ton of fans, and it never got the proper ending it deserved. Star Wars Resistance was announced quite a while ago at this point, that's obviously a new series, so no "they" aren't out of ideas, Filoni and Disney are just putting out the ending to the series that never got it, the one fans have been clamoring for and we never thought we would see.
  23. I didn't see a thread for Clone Wars in particular, I searched and just found threads for Rebels and films. This news is INSANELY exciting, this came out of nowhere and the only thing I can say is that, IT'S HAPPENING, CLONE WARS IS BACK! We WILL get the ending we deserved after all, and with everything that happened afterward with Anakin and Ahsoka in Rebels, this season will bring the feels, big time.
  24. Yeah I saw this way earlier on IO9, and it looks like a dumpster fire, holy crap. I don't get this seemingly desperate need to go for as dark, gritty, and uninteresting as possible. This just comes off like some 14 year olds take on a super edgy, super dark Titans series. This is Dick Grayson? This a-hole comes off far more like Jason Todd, can I call a number in order to get his ass killed off too? Because Dick Grayson this is not, the icing on the cake was his "frakk BATMAN!", yeah that's how Dick would refer to his father figure, mentor, best friend, and partner. Once again, that comes off like Jason or Damian, not Dick. This looks frakking horrible, and not what is going to attract people to your new premium streaming service. Now that revival of Star Wars Clone Wars? THAT is what will get me to subscribe for at least as long as I have to in order to watch all of that, that trailer brought the feels and tears.
