I didn't see this comment earlier or I would've given my take. I own every MonsterArts figure except repaints and retools, I have every Godzilla and enemy released, they're brilliant figures, and I'm a Godzilla superfan so I love them. I have owned 4 different NECA figures and they were fine for the money IMO. The key is you get what you pay for, and that goes both ways obviously. I can say I didn't have any horrible QC issues with any of my NECA stuff, nothing broken or sheared off out of the box, the worse I had was paint issues, "googly" eyes, or eyes painted crooked, but to be fair, I've had that exact issue on two MonsterArts figures as well, and that sting was far worse then the much cheaper NECA stuff. The articulation is fine, there aren't a dozen segmented sections in the tails like MonsterArts, but once again, you get what you pay for. They look fine, molds and sculpts are usually really good, NECA always does good with that. Paint detail is fine, I think that's where you will run into QC issues if you have any, for the most part everything looked good, not as detailed as the Bandai MonsterArts stuff, but serviceable enough, and a fraction of the price. I'd recommend them if you're just interested in some cheap, solid looking figures that display and look good enough. I only switched to MonsterArts exclusively because I'm a Godzilla superfan as mentioned, I don't mind paying more for better figures, but I would say overall I really enjoyed the NECA stuff, it was cheap and looked good enough. On Toyark I always see people comment when a MonsterArt is revealed they will wait for the NECA version, and vice versa, nothing wrong with that, NECA and Bandai seem to try to one up each other on releases, when one releases a certain Godzilla from a certain film, the other follows closely with their own reveal. The new King of the Monsters stuff looks cool, not sure which Godzilla era you were into or looking for, but I'd say the newest King of the Monsters stuff should be worth checking out, they seem to be doing a 6" and huge 12-12" line for the new movie.

Dark Crystal age of resistance on Netflix
Tking22 replied to Bolt's topic in Anime or Science Fiction
Lol I saw the leaked Nilf armor, yikes, I figured Witcher was too expensive a series for Netflix, HBO or some other big shot would've been better. He's talking about the upcoming Witcher Netflix series, based on the video game and novel series, it features Superman in a bad silver/white wig. On the topic of Dark Crystal, wow, that looks far, far more expensive then I ever imagined. As Duymon mentioned, did Netflix divert all money to series they think will actually be good? Witcher's leaks are looking dire to say the least, but this? This looks phenomenal, I'm totally on board.- 88 replies

Basically what dragonstar said, even if Bluefin doesn't release this, BBTS will absolutely have it, they carry all Chogokin, zero reason to believe they won't carry Vehicle Voltron. Yeah, it will have a slight mark up on price, but once again, that will be fine compared to the shipping from HLJ or AmiAmi, they have that dirt cheap $5 shipping, which is horrifically slow, but still, it's only $5. I have the renewal/repaint Chogokin Godmars releasing soon at BBTS, that thing looks awesome too, price is right for me on that too, shipping from Japan would be insane, that's why I'm getting my King of the Monsters MonsterArts from BBTS too, I can't imagine what shipping for Ghidorah would be from HLJ, yikes.

Tonight's the night, I'm sooooooo excited, can't wait. I'll definitely be seeing this multiple times in theaters, I want my damn MonsterArts figures too, yesterday I read Mothra and Rodan are going to be P Bandai, or TWE items, works for me, I just want them however I can get them.

Unfortunately not, when I had to move mine it was a nightmare, I had to open our front double doors because I couldn't think of an easier way to break it down, ended up with about 2-3 hours worth of repairs. Granted, I never really looked for methods or instructions from others, I just looked over it myself for about an hour and couldn't think of an easy way to do it, it sucked to move, it's a large unwieldy set. The way the thing is built isn't friendly to breakdown at all, everything locks in onto or over something else already assembled, I had a hard time putting the separate "rooms" in each section of the Falcon when I first assembled it, so once again, I really couldn't think of an easy way to break it down or apart into more manageable pieces. Outside of some timely disassembly, I don't think there's an easy method to break down or separate this beast once built, sorry.

All Things Videogame Related: EXTREME VS!!
Tking22 replied to Keith's topic in Anime or Science Fiction
Or PS4? What do you have, just a Switch or Xbox One? No offense, but you need a PS4, Pro would be best, there's way too many good PS4 exclusives out to not have one. On the topic of Kojima's newest over-hyped nonsense game, pass. And to think, Metal Gear died for this? Also Konami I guess, but this looks lame, it's way too weird for the sake of weird for me, looks like a goofy parody of Breath of the Wild or something based on gameplay.- 6876 replies

Gorgeous pics, that thing looks incredible. Like with lion Voltron, it seems Bandai isn't holding back on this release, they're not half assing anything like they did the MMPR line. And to think, Takara is attempting to charge $300-400+ for that new MP-44 V3 Optimus, geez, talk about overpricing, this looks massively more impressive, on basically every level.

Reviewers for Godzilla 2014 - Not enough Godzilla, too much human nonsense! Reviewers for Godzilla KOTM 2019 - Too much monster action, humans are boring and terribly written! Kind of expected, pick your poison people. This is still EXACTLY the film I want and am expecting, I want two hours of expensive kaiju action, I can give two shits less about a coherent plot, human characters, or well written and motivated human characters. Just give me the Big G and his buddies smacking each other down for two hours and I'm good. The 4K Bluray will be glorious, I'm excited for Friday night.

I'm going US Bluefin all the way, easier to pre-order, cheaper shipping, it just makes sense for me. I'll be nabbing mine at BBTS as soon as they are available, screw that craziness with the Japanese sites, the slight discount on those sites is usually offset by pricier shipping, so BBTS all the way.

The bold bit can't be stated enough, outside Chernobyl on HBO, Doom Patrol is unquestionably the finest thing on TV this year so far, it's kind of absurd how amazing this first season was. And now I need Brendan Fraser back, just in general, back, he is hilarious, and quite brilliant on Doom Patrol. On the topic of Swamp Thing, I'VE NEVER BEEN MORE ON BOARD FOR A SHOW EVER. It looks phenomenal, scary, bloody, everything Swamp Thing should be. Also, as per this newest trailer, did I catch a little glimpse of Blue Devil? I have no idea he was in this, that's even more awesome.

Looks phenomenal, most hyped movie of the year right here, Endgame was fun, but it's time for the King. Also, new poster is out, and its gorgeous. Now that's some classic Godzilla poster hype right there.

Finally got my new head in for TE-01 Optimus, somehow making an excellent figure even better, pretty perfect. Masterpiece Transformer of the year for me so far, even over MP Beast Wars Megatron, this thing is amazing, picture perfect G1 cartoon Optimus. -

TE-01 is a brilliant figure, MP of the year so far for me. Agreed, MP-44 pricing is absurd, even at the Amazon Japan price of roughly $300+, that's too much. TE-01 isn't really based on MP-44, it's just based on toon/movie Optimus, which MP-44 is as well, so they both look incredibly similar. If you're interested, check out TFW2005 for member Jream, he makes a cheap, but very nice little vinyl add-on set, covers for the exposed silver bits on the sides of the legs, and vinyl covers for the chest, two shades of blue and a toon centric cartoon window version as well, in one bundle, for like $10 shipped. -
Oh man, the hype is real, that looks brilliant. Highly doubt I'll get to snag one on HLJ or any other Japanese site, but I'm fine with that, US Bluefin will put one out with the Vehicle Voltron sleeve for the box, and shipping from BBTS with other stuff works for me, shipping this from Japan would be costly to say the least.

The Rogue One Stormtroopers came with the heavy blasters as well as the standard blaster and hip/pistol blaster. Also, I think they came with shoulder pauldrons as well, updated sculpts and articulation too. THOSE were the Stormtroopers to get, these one look about the same they just come with less accessories.

Yeah I saw that, pass for both from me. Between the original Figuarts Stormtrooper and the Rogue One versions, I have 12 regular Figuarts Stormtrooper figures, I'm good. I am also plenty happy with the A New Hope Figuarts Vader, this has sculpt updates more in line with ROTJ, and the unmasked head accessory, but it's still a pass. Also, that sculpt for Vader STILL isn't quite right, all these Vaders later and Bandai still hasn't seemed to have gotten him correct yet.

Stranger Things Lego set is in! Pretty damn clever on Lego's part, the trees act as the base and both houses "float" in the middle. Very sturdy build, zero worries about things falling apart or tipping over. Highly recommended if you're a fan of the show, or just want a neat build with good detail. -
Disney's live action Aladdin May 2019
Tking22 replied to jvmacross's topic in Anime or Science Fiction
Agreed there's just zero energy, it must've been insanely awkward to film too. Just a mess of people in expensive costumes on an expensive set, fake smiling and cheering while Will Smith just kind of walks down the street and talks at people in a tone and with music that reminds them of Aladdin... Also, gotta wonder if Disney is expecting this to land with a thud as well, the release date they chose speaks to having little faith in this film IMO, after Endgame but before Toy Story 4? Is that where flops go to die? -
Yeah this came out of nowhere for me, was there a tease for this or anything? I just saw several sites post about it last night, once again, I never heard of a tease or rumor this was coming. Either way, frakkING BOUGHT ON SITE. I didn't budget for this, I didn't know it was even coming, but I have to have it, so I nabbed mine this morning, available to VIP Members starting today, and I paid for priority shipping, so I'll have it Saturday, awesome.

So does this follow the original comic or film continuity and ending? What I'm asking is, does this follow the nuclear Manhattan doomsday, or the fake space alien doomsday ending?

Okay, it's been long enough, what's the next release Bandai? I'm hoping it's not another VF-1 variant, I'd like to see a fan favorite like a VF-0. If it has to be a VF-1, just give us a TV Kaki and Max 1A two pack.
