  1. I too have Unicron, and the wings don't lock into the tabs as shown in the diagram... Oh well, it's not like they didn't even try to come up with a locking system. If all else fails, you can use double sided tape to hold the wings up in bot mode.
  2. I don't think he's leaving the forum... I think its because he won't have much access to a computer in the coming times. I'm sure he'll be back someday. Anyways, once again, my apologies for the awful experience.
  3. Wasn't Isamu using his wing lasers against the ghost? I'll have to double check, but I think he was using his wing lasers. Remember, even when stripped of optional weapons, the YF-19 is still equipped with two lasers in the wing roots, and one in the head. Now Guld shooting at the Ghost after the Ghost dismembered the 21 is odd to me... Looks like I'll have to watch Ep 3-4 all over again...
  4. VF-19

    VF-0

It will be out this December. Might as well put that pre-order in as you may not be able to get one if demand runs high enough...
  5. Supposely M1A2s, Leopard IIA5 and up, Challenger IIE can survived a srafing run (at least the frantal slope(right word?) from an A-10, but no tank crew in their right mind would want to be in the tanks during the run. You mean frontal slope? If so, then probably. Usually the thickest armour on a tank can be found in the front, and on the front of the turret. It's a safe assumption as that's where most of the fire is going to be coming from in a conflict/war/skirmish/wargame etc... Although, you are right, nobody in their right mind would want to be in the tank when an A-10 begins its strafing run... But then again, you don't want to be anywhere near the tank when it's being shot at by an A-10...
  6. Well part of the reason why all that armour is on transforming mecha is so that the transformation mechanisms last longer in combat conditions... But then again, cannon fodders don't seem to last very long anyways... That being said, I LOVE the exposedness of the transformer (for lack of a better term). Please, pretty please with a cherry on top do more!
  7. My Goodness, what is with all these silly French jokes? Honestly I don't know why they exist... Then again, every country is the butt of somebody's jokes... As for nose art, I'd prefer either a traditional scatily clad woman, or a simple symbol of my geekdom.
  8. It does. It does. Always listen to Reason. Always. I've seen fottage of that gun in action, and man, I don't want to be around the tank when those shells hit. It's a hellstorm in and around the tank... Is there any armour that can stand up to the shells from the gattling gun of the A-10? I doubt it, but it never hurts t o ask...
  9. Wow... I don't know what to say... I suppose the only thing I could say is I'm sorry to hear what happened between you and your wife. Anyways, I'm glad you didn't strike her, but you didn't have to wreck some stuff to vent your anger. While it is better to trash stuff than your wife, still that wasn't very mature of you (god I sound like my mother). In anycase, I hope you get through this alright, and you're able to continue on with your life.
  10. The reason why the F-15 looks somewhat like an MiG-25 is because it was designed to counter it. The US got real scared when they learned (albeit somewhat misleading) about the MiG-25. It wasn't until they got their hands on one was that they found it was basically a flying gas tank with engines and missiles.
  11. Perhaps the shop owner had let it out of the box to play? I'd take it back and point out the cracks and stress marks to him and demand your cash back. You paid for perfection, and you should recieve perfection. Now if it was a tiny correctable problem, say a loose joint somewhere, then you can fix it yourself, as that's easy. Recasting hips and repainting them, not so easy.
  12. Yikes... That is one swollen ankle... I hope it wasn't anything too serious... As for a pic of me... Well... That'll come in a few days, when I get some free time. And poor Kermit being crucified! You really must have had something in for him...
  13. It would be a tie between the upcoming Optimus Prime and the FAST Pack YF-19... Damnit not enough cash too much stuff to buy... Damn Canadian dollar! Do better! Be worth more! CROM COMMANDS YOU!
  14. A sticker is what's included with Yamato's VF series of toys. Namely, you peel and stick it to the toy. A water transfer decal needs lukewarm water to activate the adhesive. So in this case, you soak the decal a bit, then you slide it onto the model/toy. The advantage of the water based decal is that it's thinner, and with a bit of work, you can blend in the decal so that it looks printed onto the toy/model. A sticker can really stand out...
  15. Update! 1:60s: 2 1:72: 2 That's 4 babies now! Although I'm confused as to the scale of the VF-11... It seems to be in 1:60, as its true battroid height is very close to the VF-1s true battroid height (around 12-13 M)... But who cares! They're cool!
  16. No it won't. That estimate at the top of the page is for when you order that particular item and nothing else. Since these are small bags, the shipping charge should not increase all that much, as they aren't very big nor do they weigh very much.
  17. I'm quite tempted to send an email to HLJ conerning the holidays. What I would like to see on HLJ is a calander on HLJ showing ALL of the national holidays that affect order processing and shipping times. That way, if you're ordering on a schedule, you at least know in advance that your order may take longer to ship. Like this month for instance there was about a week's holiday that I had no clue about.
  18. Too vague... need more info. Exactly what are you trying to do? What is a slide card? Etc...
  19. I've got some unusual likings in aircraft... So here's mine. IL-2 Sturmovik FW-190 Spitfire Me-262 I'm a bit of a WW2 fighter nut... BTW this has nothing to do with my recent purchases of IL-2 and IL-2 Forgotten Battles. Nothing at all.
  20. I got mine yesterday! Looks great, but I've accidentally chipped some paint off the area that becomes the middle torso. I'm tempted to bring it with me to a Subaru dealer and ask for a bottle of touch up paint... I know somebody on this board mentioned that the paint mached exactly with what Subaru gave him. Can't wait for Optimus Prime!
  21. Whoa... You need to learn some patience. HLJ ships via two methods international. SAL: Slow, but cheap. Expect a minimum 2 week + delivery time if the order has to clear customs. If it doesn't have to clear customs, you can expect it within 2 weeks (often 10 days). Sadly, there is no formal method of tracking, but if you're in Canada, you can call Canada Post and see if your order has arrived in customs. EMS: Super fast, and somewhat expensive. You can expect your order within a week, and you can track it. Some examples of shipping times: Smokescreen: Shipped on Oct 1, Just arrived on Oct 21. Shipped Via SAL VF-11 and YF-21 FPs: Shipped on Oct 12, arrived on Oct 16. Shipped Via EMS
  22. In a weak effort to get the topic somewhat back on track. I remember when the Macross Plus toys were going to be coming out back in 2000. I, like many other people, was quite pleased (quite an understatement) that these kick-*** toys were coming out over here. Then nothing happened. A while later, I discovered that HG claimed that they owned all things macross. However, I also noticed that two series bearing the Macross name (Macross Plus, and Macross 2) had been released without a peep from Harmony Gold. Hmm... I thought to myself, isn't it odd that they let two excellent (well... Macross 2 was ok) series be liscenced by Manga, who would be in competition with HG? I also find it odd that Manga didn't really object that the Macross Plus toys were coming out over here. After all, they did purchase the liscence for the two titles. Personally, I think that Harmony Gold had no right to stop the Macross Plus toys from coming out over here for a few reasons. 1) They let Macross Plus be liscenced by another company. 2) They didn't do anything to try and stop it. By my own crappy logic, I think they also lost out on any ability to challenge Yamato concerning the domestic release of the Macross Plus toys in North America. Just my 2 cents.
  23. PG-13 was made because of Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom. Spielburg didn't want the movie to have a PG rating, but at the same time he didn't want it to have an R rating. He went to the MPAA and asked for an inbetween, which came into being as PG-13.
  24. Technically, there are a few higher ratings than R. NC-17 is one of them. I remember that Midnight Cowboy was rated X, although I'm not sure where X would be placed, or even if its used anymore. I'm sure you know this but this is the ratings system in the US (Canada has its own thing). G PG PG-13 R NC-17 X (although I'm not sure it even exists and even where it goes) However, since Kill Bill is R rated, a parent or guardian has to go with an underaged kid. Now if the kid pays a homeless person to... accompany them, well then it's the kids fault for sneaking in right? NO! BLAME CANADA! (if you don't get it, watch a certain movie with the title of South Park)
  25. no tleg chest plate thanks ali You mean the little sliding tabs on the hip pieces that lock the legs to the chest in fighter and Gerwalk mode right? If so, then they can be a huge pain to get into place properly... You may need to get creative... Now for my question! My Hip pieces for my VF-1J (1:60)arrived, but sadly, all I was able to procure was the hip pieces for the VE-1 (as they're grey). Now exactly what I got surprised me. I got the Hip piece, and the first segment of the leg... In any case, I'm looking for a durable paint that will resist chipping... And a good clear coat that will resist chipping as well. Also, colour suggestions would be great too! I've already once taken apart my VF-1J's legs, so I'm familiar as to how they go together. Any help would be great!
