To be honest, it probably would have been too big for what Takatoku wanted to accomplish for this line and my guess is they were already hurting financially, producing and selling a Monster at 1/144 may have put them out of business a lot quicker! But at least they sort of compromised on the final production size.....if this Takatoku promotional poster is correct, they were thinking smaller...1/500

Hello...Welcome to Macross World! We actually have a thread for asking about values.... http://www.macrossworld.com/mwf/topic/42369-the-new-and-improved-whats-it-worth-thread/ But since you are new here...I will answer your query... The Takatoku 1/144 VF-1S is one of the harder pieces to find from the set...not that difficult, but it comes up for sale and auction less often than the Destroids. They generally sell on auction for about 50-100 USD depending on condition of the toy, the box, contents, accessories, etc. BTW, there is also a thread that keeps a running tab on auction prices for various Macross collectibles..... http://www.macrossworld.com/mwf/topic/38871-macross-collectibles-market-watch-current-auctionstore-sold-prices/ Here is one that sold recently on YJA.... https://page.auctions.yahoo.co.jp/jp/auction/k446030708 5,000 JPY Oh and no need for a painful apology...instead please assume the double-secret MW welcoming initiation position!

http://www.macrossworld.com/mwf/topic/41092-item-of-interest-spotted-on-mandarake/ There is an existing thread to post "items of interest".....you are aware of them. In fact, you most often than not, also double-post the same listing in the various "item of interest" threads. It defeats the purpose of those threads to have you constantly posting listings on threads that should be focusing on the toys themselves. People follow this thread, and others, and each time you post a listing, folks get alerted and instead of finding out something new, like a release anouncement, PO date or newly discovered issue, they get yet another post about a link to a listing.... If people want to find out about a new listing, they can choose to follow the appropriate threads. You should allow folks to use the available tools on this website, especially newer members that may not be aware of the available threads that exist to help them find items. It has worked out fine this way for at least 6 years. An occasional listing from time to time, for example after the mad rush for a PO that has recently closed, is perfectly understandable, but what you are doing is disruptive and quite frankly a form of spamming. Maybe figure out some other constructive way to increase your post count?

Not sure where this info was sourced from on the Macross Compendium: "The first space fold transported the ship near the orbit of Pluto instead near the Moon the intended destination on the same day. Underwent refit with a civilian and business sector built into aft section hull and docked with CVS-101 Prometheus and SLV-111 Daedalus February to March, 2009. Underwent complete overhaul from January to August, 2012." http://macross.anime.net/wiki/Macross_Class -
Super Macross Mecha Fun Time Discussion Thread!

Interesting....perhaps a case of Takatoku Toys, being a major sponsor for the show, asking for some "extra" gimmicks to incorporate into their SDF-1 toy? Also interesting, is that on the DYRL? SDF-1, that section is actually being used to accomodate civilians. I was never clear on where the TV version of the SDF-1 houses its civilians. -

Is this weapon on the SDF-1 an actual part of the SDF-1's weapon systems or was it dropped from canon? I am referring to the section that seems to lift from the "legs" as illustrated below.... The only reason I ask is because I cannot seem to recall it ever being used during the SDFM TV show.....was thinking maybe during the final battle during Ep. 27, but it does not seem it was ever animated in action...it was, however, added as part of the several gimmicks on the Takatoku Toys 1/3000 SDF-1...
