  1. If a M7 sequel means we may get a completed DX Sound Force...then bring it! But I would prefer it would not be contingent on it....
  2. OK...I knew I had seen that head variant somewhere else....still not sure why it is referred to as a VF-1C on the ARII/IMAI booklet.....I'm thinking they were hoping for another variant to milk their VF-1 mold$ with!
  3. Very interesting...I took a look at the most likely sources that may have had another look at that specific "head" and it seems that the Perfect Memory book was the only other officially published SDFM era book that has it. Took a look at the Kawamori VF book...no mention. Also took a quick look at the MasterFiles, no "C" model and they are known to make stuff up! The only other publication that I did not look at was the Macross Chronicle issue covering the VF-1D. I found my Macross Chronicle issues covering the VF-1A, J, and S and they had nothing about the D variant or anything referred to as a "C" variant. I do find it sort of ironic, that the only other spot where this "head" varient is found beyond the Perfect Memory book is on an ARII/IMAI publication...this one released before the show even premiered.... ....and then, years later...ARII/IMAI finally sneaked it onto a figure that no one cared about or really took notice of what it was...until now......of course, now it will jump up in value! The ultra rare VF-1C!
  4. Thought that was a VF-1C?

They were all "Display Only" once....until they're were'nt Crazy would be releasing the Monster but not the Tomahawk and Phalanx to complete the set....IMO it would go down as the greatest missed opportunity in Macross Toy Collecting history......non-Macross HMR releases combined with the COVID-19 pandemic just means a much longer wait....still pretty sure the HMR Destroid line will be completed one day.... Anyone know the guys who interviewed one of the Bandai designers responsible for the HMR line....maybe an update is in order!
  6. Animedia Macross Idol Photo Pack Sets - 3 sets released - each set includes 10 "photos" and also a minibook...the containers used are basically old school cassette tape cases! Animedia Idol Photo Card Set Promo Poster......this series also included sets for Orguss and Mospeada....

That's the coronavirus talking! The last two Destroids are coming! You'll see!
  8. If you are into the other animation projects he was involved with it is a good book to have. Otherwise, not much new Macross content that hasn't been published in other collections before.
  9. Whenever someone mentions Takatoku Macross toys....the legendary 1/55 VF-1 usually comes to mind. The 1/55 was the ultimate Macross toy you could get back during the SDFM era. However, Takatoku also released several other toys in their Macross lineup. Takatoku released the infamous Henkei Macross toys, the smaller 1/100 versions of their 1/55 VF-1's, and even miniature plastic "kits" among other "oddities" and lesser known toys. Below is part of another line of toys Takatoku produced....the Macross Vinyl Collection! This line included a set of 4 large vinyl representations of Hikaru's VF-1J, Roy's VF-1S, Max's VF-1J and Milia's VF-1J and several smaller vinyl figures and various multi-packs. 10. Thanks, it is still interesting to find new things after all these years!
  11. Old School Vinyl....
  12. I must admit that I was not too hopeful when Maul came back in Clone Wars...but they really made him into one of the most interesting characters in all Star Wars....together with Ahsoka....
  13. Bah! I'll raise you a Henkei...anyone of them.....you pick! ....but at least it tranforms you say? They sure do...into this... ....actually, never mind.....they're awesome!
  14. yes, if it ever arrives...
  15. Great idea! Takatoku encouraged people to "customize" their 1/55's...may as well take that suggestion into all of their toy lines... And it's good to know the love for the vintage Macross toys is still shared among fans! Old School never gets old!
  16. The possibilities are endless! I was just going off of my "Angry Beaver" woodland camo theme....but yeah....anything that goes with the the camo theme would look cool! How about going with the classic "skull" theme....this time using a Buck Skull in keeping with the "woodland" theme...
  17. Very nice! It's a shame none of these Macross games ever enjoyed a US release. Welcome to MW!
  18. OK...now that you've done all the heavy lifting....I'll enjoy some virtual customization! LOL
  19. It never ends. I took the red pill years ago....and I have not hit solid ground yet!
  20. No problem. It would seem that they are saving these type of artifacts for those who are willing to spend the money on the deluxe media sets. I was lucky to find a set of the SDFM BD set being sold without the 6 discs containing the episodes, so got it for a decent price or at least what I felt the extra media content was worth to me. The DVD set has been out for a while and I found it used for 50 USD or so...definitely worth the price for the books alone...it also contains a similarly-sized book containing several character and mecha linearts from the film...also a very nice book to have.
  21. I vote for an Angry Beaver Squadron logo for those SSP!
  22. Looks like a set of NOS Yamato "Woodland" SSP's....only they never made any quite like it....great paint match work!
