Changing the thread title to include all other Macross gashapon oddities and/or gashapon bootlegs..... No idea who made these, but they are quite possibly the most horrible Macross model kits ever made....and that includes the Macross kits made by Ohsato! Unfortunately, I do not have all of them....yet! Based on some searches on the webs...it seems there is also a Tomahawk, Defender, and SDF-1 Attacker....anyone interested in trades send me a PM! -

I wanted a 1/12 cockpit too, but it looks like the figure's torsos are too long...even after removing the legs, it may still not work without further modding of the fig... Unless, there is a way to make some room on the cockpit without destroying it? -
OK...so I found the book where I had seen the umbrella before....at first I was stumped becuase I recalled that it was in one of the TIA books...#3 to be exact....so pulled out a copy and it wasn't there...then I remembered that it was on the original run of the book, not the reprint..... Easy way to tell the two apart is the price...original was 780 JPY...reprints were 1000 JPY.... ....the image is on the second to the last page...Page 119....the reprint has a selection of model kit pics....the original print showcases a bunch of the "lower priced" Macross toys and collectibles of the SDFM era...... ...as you can see...same umbrella design, however it appears to be two-toned...so at minimum 2 variants!.....the hunt never ends.......

Most likely. But with things this old we either would need to find an ad for them (which I think I saw in a book or furoku) or a new listing in a different color/design. Thanks!

That should provide you with info on the VF-1S GBP...probably also a Taiwanese bootleg..... It's funny how Takatoku opened the door to having their 1/55 mass-copied for years to come by allowing it to be made in Taiwan...LOL....or would that have been Matsushiro's decision?

Are the bottom of the SDF-1 feet blank or have some sort of mark? Looks like they copied the Matbox version of the SDF-1...or at least the Prometheus and Daedelus. Can you post more pics of the box?

Nice....I do like the look of the grey-ish plastic with the DYRL Hikaru-1S paint job more than the actual white used on the legit release
