We'll never know.......or maybe someone will bring the poster or shitajiki to a Mikimoto signing one day and ask him directly...
-
How about BW stickers? Nice bootleg....I like it when these Chinese KO guys go out of their way to make some decent boxes
-
Here is a pic of the poster I found on Mandarake......now I think every image on this poster was specifically made for it...there has to be a story behind it
-
Nice catch.....wonder what else from Seika Note contains those images? They know all about milking images! Also.....is every image in that poster/shitajiki that seems like it is a screenshot from the series actually a "recreation" of a scene from the series? For example....the pic with Misa and the puppy......she is not wearing the same outfit in the actual scene from Episode 34.... Strange but cool........

Nah....you are confusing the issue...no one wants HG's Robotech....the fans want SDFM/DYRL...wether or not it happens to have a HG license so as long as it is readily available in your neck of the woods, a HG license can be tolerated if it means lower prices and easy availability, in terms of what @Podtastic was referring to...HG definitely won........if you are a fan of SDFM/DYRL.....nothing has changed......you will still have to play "the game" every PO night to get anything related to SDFM/DYRL outside of Japan......

Probably because it was better than placing an unknown pilot on the box....and the rest of the VF-1's already had their own characters on their boxes...well, with the exception of Roy....However, the release of the Takatoku VF-1S coincided with the release of the SDFM TV episode 18 "Pineapple Salad" (February 1983)....maybe Takatoku thought having a dead guy on the toy box would have hurt sales....lol.....anyway, it definitely wouldn't make sense to have placed Roy on the VF-1A box....a valk that gets shot down and blown to smithereens in every episode ....

Thought I had seen it somewhere....odd that they went out of there way to create it for this poster instead of just using a screen cap...but then again, this poster seems to have other "hankens" specifically made for it...
-
Good luck on finding a VHD Player
-
Well, I think that would definitely be an easier task than finding a VHD player...plus you can take some pics and update the Macross SF Challenge Game thread!
-
Tried looking for more screencaps but could not find any...you'd think by now someone would have posted something on the web or youtube....maybe searching on the "Japanese" web or Youtube?
-
Yeah, I saw it too....maybe it a cel from th Macross SF Challenge Game? ...it seems the game has scenes that are similar to the actual show but slightly altered.....maybe @Shawn can weigh in as I think he has actually played the game or may have some screen caps.... Here is the post that contains screenshots of the game.....

I have no idea what you posted....I wasn't really responding to you I was responding to @Black Valkyrie So yeah....relax, calm down, and keep waiting like the rest of us
-
Never seen a commercial for a bootleg product
-
You took that out of context...you forgot to include how I started the quote you posted..... So yeah....as @no3Ljm said....you jumped the gun.....no one is declaring the line dead just quite yet....it will probably be until the end of the year with no new announcements to make such a claim.....so calm down
-
It is still inconclusive.....a non-Macross HMR was released recently, but there has been no word on another release after it....it could have just died unceremoniously or it may come back and surprise us with what HMR fans have been waiting on for a long time...namely the conclusion of the SDFM/DYRL Destroid set and a few previously teased VF's and Enemy Mechs.....all we can do is cling on to a fool's hope

No love for the Armored VF-1D?....
-
There is also an Armored VF-1A that makes a brief appearance in Ep 27....
-
Maybe Bandai was trolling us with this pic.... ...and what they will do instead is give us a new "Chunky Monkey" in 1/35....1/40th?....for the Macross 40th anniversary!

2008 is better, if you want a "clip in" heat shield for the VF-1J...otherwise, the 2008 VF-1S is basically the same as the previous re-release...there may also be additional tampo on the 2008, but off the top of my head, I am not 100% sure...the 2008 also offers never before released Super VF-1A Hikaru and Max combo sets...
